Okay! Musume Digest #68

Minna, Digest Dayo! Are you ready to Digest?

This week, in Digest News...

Morning Musume to release a 15th Anniversary Photobook! Natsuyaki Miyabi sprains her ankle! C-ute on the cover of Young Gangan! Juice=Juice are opening acts for C-ute! Up Up Girls and THE Possible to perform together! An ex-AKB48 member is married! Miyazaki Hayao on his retirement! YuiKaori PV Preview for their new album's title song, and more! Are you ready to Digest?

Once again, I left my Digest until the last minute, which is why it is so late on being released (laughs), so my apologies to everyone who was waiting for the post, gomen gomen! I have been lazy, I know...

This week seems to have had a good amount of news, though surprisingly, Morning Musume does not have as much as I thought they would. Of course, we did have the glorious news that MoMusu have topped the Oricon and also surpassed their sales total since 2004 with 150,000+ singles sold for Wagamama/Ai no Joke, which is amazing! Also, we had some wonderful news today that Juice=Juice have sold around 23-24,000 copies of their major debut, Romance no Tochuu, today for first days sales! Congratulations, Juice=Juice!

In other news, I have got a new job. My older sister (I have three sisters, by the way, two older and one younger) will be leaving her job for a while, and I will be taking over from her until I go to University next year. I will basically be a shop assistant, which will be fun but sometimes boring, so please wish me luck everyone! I will now have money to spend on Idol goods, haha! XD Oh, and to save for University! :p

Anyway, now that we have said all that, please remember to use ctrl + f to navigate through the Digest easily! As always, here is the content guide to make it all easier for you! Have fun~

Video of the Week

Danso Revolution (Edit Version) by Fudanjuku

Last week I had a comment from an Anonymous poster asking why, for last weeks Digest, I had not used Fudanjuku's new MV for their latest single as the Video of the Week. I had already seen the video, however intended to wait for the full version of the video, not the edit version, before I posted it as either a review or video of the week. Also, I did not want to post this video because Renji is not here, as he is still recovering right now.

When I first watched Danso Revolution, I started crying because Renji was not there, but I know that he is there in the song and watching his fellow group mates perform. It is such a strong song, and it reminds of Renji a bit because of how fierce, loud and powerful it sounds, which is the look that Renji has in my opinion. It is a seriously cool song, and the beginning sounds rather vampy, like a vampire, you know? But it is so strong and different, it really shows off a powerful and cool side to Fudanjuku. It is amazing, isn't it? Hopefully, you will all see the power and fierceness in this PV!

Also, as a side note... Ryouma-chan, you are adorable even in this,a nd your solo line where you act girly as you run around with your hands sticking out... oh, you do make me giggle XD

Picture of the Week

"... I will touch her now, muehehe~"

... Something tells me to not fall asleep around Iikubo, or she may turn into Pedo-Sayu and touch me in my sleep... o-O

Episode #32 of Hello! Pro Station is here, with Miyazaki Yuka of Juice=Juice leading the show! What will be in this weeks episode?

This week on Hello! Pro Station...

Berryz Kobou MV's! Juice=Juice dance lessons! The dance shot for Juice=Juice's Watashi ga Iu Mae MEMORIAL EDIT! Hello! Pro Kenshuusei have photoshoots and act cute! Footage from Berryz Kobou and S/mileage's Warera Jeanne stageplay, as well as comments from the members! And C-ute backstage footage, with a sad song at the end! Awww!!! And some Budokan footage! Are you ready to watch this weeks episode of Hello! Pro Station?

And this is where Chiima has to ignore the beginning of this episode because I do reactions e.e Also, the song at the end of the video for C-ute... it's like they are graduating, but really, it's a thank you song XD weird XD

Hello! Project News

The Berryz Kobou and S/mileage DVD Magazine Vol. 1 Digest has been released, so be sure to check it out!

Oh good, two groups that I can easily ignore in one place. YAY!

MAiDiGi TV and Movie Collection have released footage from the general rehearsal and press conference of the stageplay Warera Jeanne ~Shoujo Seisen Kageki~, so be sure to check it out!

Are you fucking kidding me? Momochi has those fucking pigtails in during a stageplay, with historical costumes and a historical setting (I believe), where hairspray and gel were not relevant. What the fresh fucking Hell?

... Wow, her pigtails seriously offend me.

Morning Musume

The Digest for Michishige Sayumi's birthday fanclub tour in Ibaraki has been uploaded, so be sure to check it out!

Sayumi is so adorable, really, how can someone be so cute, but also be sexy hen in a PV? That is a serious crime against Nature!!!

Morning Musume's Wagamama Ki no Mama Ai no Joke has been certified GOLD by the RIAJ!

Morning Musume, congratulations!!! Turippuru...~

It has been announced that Morning Musume will release a 15th Anniversary photobook titled Morning Musume 15th Anniversary Photobook ZERO on September 30th.

I like the cover, however Riho has started to look awkward for some modelling photos, which is sad, because she is so cute. Also, Masaki looks super tired on this, and Zukki looks like she is giving the cameraman the evil eye XD

BARKS have written an article on Morning Musume's success on topping the Oricon for a third time, and have also written an article on Morning Musume's new single topping the charts, so be sure to take a look!

It's nice to sometimes see an article in English regarding one of my favourite Idol groups! YAAAY!!! Also, it makes me happy to see MoMusu being so successful! Yatta! >3<

It has been announced that Iikubo Haruna will hold a Birthday Fanclub Event on November 17th!

The fact that it is a solo event makes me fucking happy. NO SHARED EVENT!!! YAHOO ;A; <3

Hello! Project News

Berryz Kobou

The Limited covers for Berryz Kobou's up-coming single Motto Zutto Issho ni Itakatta/ROCK Erotic have been revealed.

The covers are okay, I am excited about the cross dressing, but I am more excited about the fact that Berryz seem to finally have some news out... o-o

Hello! News Service

There will be individual handshake events for Motto Zutto Issho ni Itakatta/ROCK Erotic which are available through pre-order from Chara Ani!

I would go to Chinami's and Maasas, and cry as I tell them how beautiful they are. I will then go to Miyabi's, and neigh happily as I nibble a carrot.

Hello! Project News

Natsuyaki Miyabi has sprained her right ankle, it has been announced. Because of this, there will be changes made to the Warera Jeanne stageplay.

Hopefully h sprain isn't too bad, and I hope that Miyabi recovers soon! Everyone, which Miya-chan a safe and quick recovery!

For once, they look sweet and innocent... ohohoho!

The CM for C-ute DVD Magazine Vol. 35 has been released, so be sure to take a look at it!

I like the song used, it sounds... different and heavy haha! Also, the trailer is pretty cool. A lot more appealing than vol. 34's cm was, for sure!

Juice=Juice will hold handshake events before C-ute's Budokan concerts, it has been revealed.

The most clever way to promote Juice=Juice right now; have them as the opening act for C-ute, and also get people to shake their hands. Really, there is not better way right now!

It has been announced that Juice=Juice will hold a handshake event and Mini-live at Ikebukuro Tobu on September 12th.

Aina and her pants will be the centre of attention... <3 Also, her belly, too <3

Miyazaki Yuka is the guest for Idol Hour Hello! Project on Enjoy Network Japan for the first half of September!
"We have two guests again in September! The guest for first two weeks, we have Yuka Miyazaki from Juice=Juice!

Juice=Juice is the brandnew group in Hello! Project and they are going to make major debut soon on September 11th!

Yuka san is still 19 years old! and this is the first time for her to be on bilingual program, but she was so cheerful and spoke for the interview with lot of energy!

She talked tops like about audition of "Hello! Project" and also about other members from her point of view. Very positive, very mature and very supportive members. Other members seem so cute and supportive!

You can get to know about Juice=Juice in this program a lot!

We are introducing songs from their major debut single (Triple Aside Single: "Romance no Tochu", "Watashi ga Iu Maeni Dakishime nakyane(MEMORIAL EDIT)", "Samidare Bijo ga Samidareru(MEMORIAL EDIT)" which will be released on September 11 th before their official debut!
Enjoy the time with Yuka Miyazaki from Juice=Juice!" - Enjoy Network Japan (Facebook)

The cutest, puppy-dog eyed member of Juice=Juice will be on ENJ, kyaaa! >3< She will certainly deliver charm and sweetness!!!

ENJ Facebook

I still hate Karin's hair, but as my sister said, it is better than the hairstyle they gave Sayuki.

Juice=Juice will hold a handshake event and mini-live at Tokyo Dome City on September 14th it has been revealed!

Holy crap, Juice=Juice are celebrating victory on my birthday! WHOOP WHOOP! <3 -waves flag-

Hello! Project News

Juice=Juice have left a video message for CDJournal, so be sure to check it out! The video is in the source!

Oh look, Karin's old hair! I miss you, hair! I thought that you had disappeared!

Up-Front Promotion News

The Digest for Matsuura Aya Maniac Live Vol.5 fanclub DVD has been revealed, so be sure to check it out!

She still looks the same as she did when she was a soloist in H!P... she really does not age, does she? XD And her voice sounds better than ever! So beautiful ;w; <3

Up Up Girls have left a comment at Yokohama Blitz for their Live House Tour 2nd Second Chapter ~Yokohama Revenge Battle~, so be sure to check it out!

The girls seem to have high energy and happiness to be performing for their fans! Another great video from Up Up Girls! <3

It has been announced that Up Up Girls and THE Possible will hold a joint live on October 7th at Yokohama Blitz. Please look forward to it!

Two very talented groups performing together, this is amazing news! Hopefully fans of both groups will be able to come together, and realise the greatness of another group, and bring new support! Hopefully many fans will attend, too! Kyaaa!

Former AKB48 member Kawasaki Nozomi has announced her marriage. The tarento and business woman announced the surprising news on NTV's Ariyoshi Hanseikai. It was revealed on the show that she has married a foreign model in February of this year, and had known him from around 3-4 years ago, before her graduation from AKB48. She has stressed that, before her graduation, she was not with her partner before leaving the group.
"I'm married, but I haven't made an announcement. This is the first time I'm saying it. I haven't told anybody yet." - Kawasaki Nozomi (Tokyohive)
"I was actually going to say it on 'Downtown DX', I wasn't able to appear on it..." - Kawasaki Nozomi (Tokyohive)

I am amazed that she was able to keep the secret from the public for so long to be honest, but it is good that she has found a man she loves and trusts to marry, and that she is happy. Congratulations, Nozomi-san!

A trailer for AKB48's AKB48 groups' Rinji Soukai - Shiro Kuro Tsukeyo Janaika! - has been revealed, so be sure to check it out!

I hear some wonderful songs on there. This will be a fun DVD for sure *^*

Sato Sumire collaborates with the fashion magazine VANQUISH VENUS, so be sure to check out the video!

It has been announced that AKB48 will get their own regular show on NHK BS Premium titled AKB48 Show. It will start on October 5th with each episode being 30 minutes long. The show will feature the groups music, dance, documentary-style clips and also short plays that are similar to Bimyo segments.

All I can say is well done to AKB48 for getting their own TV show! Though I thought that they already had a TV show?

It has been announced that Team A's Nakamata Shiori will graduate from AKB48 on September 23rd. The announcement was made by Shiori herself during a stage performance on September 9th. Her last stage performance will be on September 15th, and her last handshake event will take place on September 23rd.

"I entered the group about 3 and a half years ago. After experiencing various jobs such as performances, handshake events, radio, and television, I found what I really want to do, my dream. I am thinking about graduating AKB48 in order to prepare myself and make that dream come true." - Nakamata Shiori (Tokyohive)

It is always sad to see another member from a group leave, but she seems to be determined to follow her dreams and pursue what she knows she loves, so please, do what you wish Shiori-san and work hard for it! Good luck!

Also... another one bites the dust. Damn!

It has been revealed that Team 4 will have an original song and music video on AKB48's new single, which will be released on October 30th. The song and music video will be available on the Type 4 edition of the single.

This is pretty damn awesome news for Team 4, and their new fans! Hopefully the song will be fun, energetic and youthful to match the members! Good luck, Team 4!

Misc Idols and Groups News

On September 7th, Kyary Pamyu Pamyu announced that she will be releasing a new single, currently untitled, on November 6th! She also announced that she will be holding a second world tour next year! The world tour will start on February 13th in Seattle, Washington. She will also tour London, France, Taiwan, South Korea, Singapore, Thailand and Japan.

Holy fuck, she's coming to England o-O Should I go...? XD LOL If I had the money XD

Shiritsu Ebisu Chuugaku have revealed that their new single has been titled Mikakunin Chuugakusei X. The single will release on November 20th. They have also announced that their nationwide tour is sub-titled Shiritsu Ebisu Chuugaku Autumn Defstar COMECOME Tour 2013 ~Deluxe・Jam・Jamboree・Neo~

A pretty damn epic name for a single! And wow, long title for their tour o-O

Ebichuu, I expect an awesome single from you all!!! ^o^

(From Top Left to Bottom Centre: First Class, Business Class and Economy Class editions)

The covers for PASSPO☆'s up-coming single, Growing Up, have been revealed! The single will be released on October 16th, and the covers show the girls wearing costumes designed by member Masui Mio.

It seems that Mio-Mio is becoming the fashion designer for PASSPO☆, huh...? Interesting indeed, but I do like the costumes.

It has been announced that Gyaru teen Idol Shiina Pikarin will release her second single, titled Toroamachu, on October 16th. The song will be used as the theme song for the Anime series DONYATS.

This single will be her first release in around a year since her official debut.

OMFG, FINALLY, MY PIKARIN IS BACK ;W; BABY, I MISSED CHUU <3 Welcome back, you weird-chick, you ;w; <3

Tokyo Girls' Update | Billboard Japan

On September 9th, it was announced that the idol group Palet, sister unit to PASSPO☆, will have their major debut with their new single Believe In Yourself! which will release on November 20th under the label Nippon Columbia. Furthermore, the title song will be used as the ending theme for the anime TORIKO.

I personally find this group bland and uninteresting, but this is amazing news for the group and their fans! Hopefully they will have warm support from everyone as they debut, and follow in their older sister groups footsteps.

Congrats to Palet!

Tokyo Girls' Update

It has been revealed that the real-life doll group, Doll☆Elements, will release their second single which has been titled Kimi no Koto Mamoritai! It will be released on October 16th, and will be the final single for graduating member Ayamori Aoi, who will leave the group on December 17th.

Five editions will be available to purchase.

Track List:

1. Kimi no Koto Mamoritai!
2. Super x3 Beautiful
(+Instrumental tracks)

It is sad that this will be the last single of member Aoi, but I am sure that all of the members will treasure the song dearly, and sing with all of their emotions and power to support Aoi as she returns to a normal life.

J-Pop Idols

It was announced on September 9th that auditions for Doll☆Elements' second generation will be held! The Auditions will take place in November.

I was wondering if, with the graduation of Aoi coming up in December, they would hold auditions or continue the group with three members. Looks like I have my answer!

Misc News

On September 6th, world renowned animator Miyazaki Hayao held a press conference concerning his retirement. Here are a few of the comments he made during the conference;

Concerning the decision to retire, he said:

"I'm a person who has caused many uproars saying that I would quit, but this time, I'm serious."

"Since 'Ponyo', it's taken 5 years to make 'Kaze Tachinu'. It takes 5 years. If I start thinking about the next film, 5 years isn't enough. At this age, in 3 months, I will be 73. If it takes 7 years, I will be 80. While I would like to continue working for another 10 years, I think the days of my animation films have come to an end."

Regarding his future, Miyazaki commented with:

"I am free. As long as I can drive, I am thinking about going to the studio everyday. I feel there are still things to see while I am resting." He added, "I am thinking about doing things I've been wanting to from before. And that is not animation. I won't say it because it would be shameful if I am not able to do it."

Producer Suzuki Toshio, who was also present at the press conference, commented with:

"All things come to an end. I always thought it would be uncool to retire after a decline. Which is why this was decided when 'Kaze Tachinu' was being supported. In that case, I feel it was good.

He also commented on Studio Ghibli's up-coming feature film:

"We are eagerly producing the story of 'Kaguyahime no Monogatari' which will be released on November 23. We are also working on a movie to release next summer."

All translations are from Tokyohive.

It is good to hear from Miyazaki-san about his retirement and plans. He knows what he wants to do, and I respect that he is retiring now, when he can, and not living his life through animation just because others wish for him to. Hopefully he will watch Studio Ghibli grow without him, and enjoy the new works that they create.

PV/Song Previews

The second teaser, starring PASSPO's youngest member Tamai Anna, for their up-coming single Growing Up, has been revealed! The short PV shows Anna visiting the places of her memories, so be sure to take a look and partake in Anna's journey!

Anna seems very sweet... when she cried, I wanted to cry as well... ;A;

The audio preview for Shiina Pikarin's second single, titled Toroamachu, has been revealed! Be sure to check it out and listen to the sweetness of Pikarin's voice! Enjoy~

And holy crap, this is adorable. I love it ;w;

The short music video for YuiKaori's new album title song, Jumpin' Bunny Flash!!, has been revealed, so be sure to check it out!

The song is very underwhelming, something that I am not used to from this unit. I love them, but damn, this song is rather dull. The song seems to be made out to 'look' and 'sound' exciting, but when the vocals kick in it is rather bland, underwhelming and just poor. Don't get me wrong, it's cute, and the chorus is better when it starts up, but really... the main appeal of this is just how HOT Kaori has become o-o seriously... wow!

Press Release/Promotional Videos

JIJIPRESS, Oricon and MAiDiGi TV have uploaded videos from Morning Musume's Triple Oricon #1 Celebration event, so be sure to check them out!

A great performance from the girls, as always, though I seem to have skipped through it to the point where I blanked out Riho, or missed her voice completely XD Oh my... I have learned to blank out her voice...

Oh wait, that's a good thing!

Oricon, JIJIPRESS and MAiDiGi TV have released footage from C-ute's concert at Budokan. Be sure to check them all out!

I like that MAiDiGi TV's video started with scenes from Ikebukuro Sunshine City where the girls hoped for Budokan and where it was announced that they would be going to Budokan. It really made me happy and overwhelmed to see that as a fan of C-ute, and then to see the clips of them performing in Budokan. It must truly be a dream come true for them to have performed there in front of so many fans. C-ute, well done on such amazing performances, and for getting to Budokan!

Juice=Juice leave a comment for Kawaii Girl Japan, so be sure to check it out!

Sadly, there are no subtitles... Kawaii Girl Japan, what happened to you? ;w; Also... HI KARIN'S OLD HAIR 8D

On September 6th, world renowned Animator Miyazaki Hayao held a press conference concerning his decision to retire. Oricon, JIJIPRESS and MAiDiGi TV have all uploaded footage from the event, so please take a look.

For everyone who wants to hear Miyazaki's words as he talks about his reasons behind retirement and such, there are many videos provided by various news shows, so be sure to take a look.

JIJIPRESS report on the making of for E-girls' new single, Gomennasai no Kissing You, which includes 500 fans in the background as they watch the members of the group dance with energy and happiness! Be sure to take a look!

It's nice to see a making of for the new MV from E-girls. Hopefully all the fans were excited to see them dance right before their eyes! It must have been amazing!

Performances and TV Appearances

Morning Musume's Michishige Sayumi, Iikubo Haruna and Sato Masaki appear on ZIP! Be sure to check out the segment where the hosts talk to fans about Morning Musume, and where the girls promote themselves!

I love the part where they show Zukkini doing an impression of an apple XD She is a weird girl... XD

A video clip of the Morning Musume members commenting on their Weekly No 1 has been uploaded to Youtube, so be sure to check it out!

I have no idea what show this is from... that annoys me... XD

Morning Musume members Michishige Sayumi, Ikuta Erina, Iikubo Haruna, Ishida Ayumi and Oda Sakura appeared on Ameba Studio Live for a talk about their new single, so be sure to check it out!

There are five parts, all parts will be available in the source.

... This is a pretty long talk show, and I don't understand Japanese... ;A; WHHHY? CURSE MY LACK OF UNDERSTANDING OF LANGUAGES D; However, I loved that Sakura sang, and Ayumi danced. AWESOME SAUCE <3 Also, Harunan demonstrates her manga love I think... think... ;A; I HEARD JOJO IN THERE~

Michishige Sayumi appears on the show Chocotto to promote Morning Musume's 54th single Wagamama Ki no Mama Ai no Joke/Ai no Gundan and answers questions. Be sure to watch!

It's nice to see so much promotion, even after the single has released! It would have been nice to see a member other than Sayumi promoting the single solo, however. Sayumi is on TV enough...

Michishige Sayumi leaves a comment on Music Catch to promote the new single Wagamama Ki no Mama Ai no Joke/Ai no Gundan, so be sure to take a look!

Again, Sayumi is shown on enough shows. It would be nice to see other girls promoting the single solo...

Morning Musume members Michishige Sayumi, Suzuki Kanon, Ishida Ayumi, Sato Masaki and Kudo Haruka appear on the show Mokuyo-Appli to promote their new single, so be sure to take a look!

I am surprised that Masaki promoted the single the most... I was expecting Sayumi to talk through it all. Finally, though, someone else promoting it! YAY!!!

Juice=Juice are featured on Witch,  Facebook-based webshow by HBC. Be sure to take a look!

It's nice to see Juice=Juice on a show, no matter how well known or small. I like that there was a bit of an interview portion, too. Yuka seemed so passionate and happy when talking about the group! <3 Peach-dayso... <3

Ishida Ayumi, Kudo Haruka and Oda Sakura are interviewed on the Miyagi Morning show, so be sure to check it out!

It is really nice to see Haruka, Ayumi and Sakura promoting the single without the others around them. I feel like, sometimes, Haruka and Sakura don't get the time to shine in interviews or promotions if Riho or Sayumi are there. Also, Ayumi is surprisingly professional when promoting and talking about the single!

That said, Sakura needs to be less quiet and bring more enthusiasm to her voice when promoting. Ayumi, however, has this hardcore seriousness when promoting! It's enthralling! XD

Here is Morning Musume's Mezamashi Live performance of Wagamama Ki no Mama Ai no Gundan, as well as comments from the members. Be sure to check it out!

This is only part of the performance, but it is nice to hear everyone's comments. It is certainly a highlight to see Masaki basically make fun of Eripon... I think she does XD

Also, Zukkini and Fukuchan ;w; <3

Here is the full performance of Wagamama Ki no Mama Ai no Joke by Morning Musume during the Mezamashi Live, so be sure to check it out and see their hardcore performance!

I do wish that they would all sing live, and let the fans be at mercy to all of their voices, rather than just let fans suffer the wrath of Riho... though she is surprisingly okay here!!!!

Here is Morning Musume's performance of Ai no Gundan for Mezamashi Live. Be sure to check it out!

A pretty damn awesome performance from Morning Musume, but they really need to let everyone sing if they are going to let Sayu, Ayumi and Riho sing live.

During the Mezamashi Live, Morning Musume performed the Updated version of One Two Three, which will appear on their new Updated Best of album! Be sure to check it out!

Fina-fucking-ly, THEY AUTO-TUNED RIHO! WHOOO!!!!

Fukumura Mizuki, Iikubo Haruna, Sato Masaki and Kudo Haruka appeared on Nakai no Mado, so be sure to check out this clip of the girls performing Renai Revolution 21 with enthusiasm and energy!

Wow, that performance sure was energetic o-o SUGOII!!! Also, LOL, MasaKissu XD

And that is all we have for this weeks Digest! I hope that everyone has had their fill of News for the week and hopefully you are all updated! Let's wish for next weeks news to be just as wonderful and full! Until next time, though, ja ne!

  1. Another awesome Digest!!! :D
Yeah I don't know if you noticed it but I did when MoMusu performed Brainstorming on Mezamashi when the girls were paired off to do the Ayumi/Riho dance off I swear I saw Erina slipped. It was so adorable bless her!

    1. Thank you Jenny ;w; <3

I did slightly notice it, it was cool XD And poor Eripon ;w; She is so pro though, she can recover quickly ;) xx

  2. Haruna's event is not solo.
    Ayumi and Oda are guests.

It says so right in the link you posted. *facepalm*

    1. Guess what? I don't read Japanese. How am I supposed to know?

Also, I had an inkling she would have guests. Who cares? It's nice to actually see that interaction. Also, it's not a *SHARED* event like Mizuki and Gaki had to have, so I still class it as SOLO.

      -head desks-

  3. Thanks for another massive digest update. Boy am I fuu-ulll. Oh and, um, I think the picture of the week got switcherooed or something? Either that or I'm dumb and don't get it, which is more likely the case.

    1. You're welcome ;) and yay for being full! Also, that image was supposed to just be random and what Harunan had said. I just thought it would be different XD
