Okay! Musume Digest #69

Minna, Digest Dayo? Are you ready to Digest some Idol News today???

This week, in Digest News...

Up Up Girls to release a new single! NMB48 reveal PV previews for their 8th single! Who won the AKB48 4th Janken Tournament? Yurina and Airi to sing for the sake of Green Tea! MoMusu for Budokan! Afilia Saga to release a new single! Kashiwagi Yuki, NMB48 and Yokoyama Rurika release covers for their new singles! And more!!!! Are you ready to Digest?

HELLO darling Chimians of mine, how are you? Today I have a headache, one of the reasons why this is coming a little later today. Also, is it just me, or are S/mileage not getting any news as of late? Here's to hoping that there is some news next week, aye?

Also, I will hopefully be getting back into doing normal posts soon, because my last few posts (sans the HouPri one, cry ;A;) have been celebrating things that have happened, such as 500 posts on here, my birthday, and 200,000 pageviews! YATTA! But yeah, should be going back to the normal reviews and idiocy soon, so sorry for posting nonsense, hehehe~

Anyway, other than that... this week has been okay, I started work, and didn't edit any videos. Whoops! Sorry about that! But I am sometimes lazy, and just didn't want to... I need to, though!

Anywhoo, time to Digest! I'll shut up now, ehehehehe~

As always, please use ctrl + f to navigate yourself through the Digest! The contents, as always, is here! Have fun!

Video of the Week

Happy Daisakusen by Morning Musume

To any Reina fans who watch this, I am sorry for breaking your poor little hearts by posting this video of her during her graduation concert, but seriously... I love this song. It's happy and just fun to listen to, and I love singing along to it! It's a burst of refreshing happiness and energy that you seem to only get in Morning Musume b-sides now, because the A-sides are so electronic or cool now. Heck, sometimes they are too cool to the point they are devoid of emotion in a way. I wish there was a happy, energetic song that they could sing for an A-side, but until that happens... I will listen to this for a while longer. Seriously, I think that this is one of my top B-sides for MM, right next to the beautiful Koi ING. I love it, so wonderful.

Or something :3

Picture of the Week

Do you want to share Melon-pan with me on my way to school today?

My Melon-pan Akari-chan is beautiful... seriously, how could someone so flawless exist?

Hello! Pro Station episode 33 is here for everyone to enjoy! This weeks MC for the show is Yajima Maimi of C-ute!

Included in this weeks episode...

ROCK Erotic dance shot! Juice=Juice Release event for their Major debut single, Romance no Tochuu! Kenshuusei concert performances! C-ute at Budokan footage and a performance of what I think is their new single! And Risako shows us how she styles her hair! Are you looking forward to this weeks Hello! Pro Station?

The new C-ute song sounds very familiar, like, Busu no Naranai Tetsugaku familia. Also, ROCK Erotic is boring to me now XD In fact, this episode is pretty 'meh' to me. Hopefully next week will be more fulfilling, aye?

That all said and done, Risako is gorgeous. WOW!

Hello! Project News

It has been revealed that both Kumai Yurina and Suzuki Airi will sing the theme song for the Uji City green tea image character. The song has been titled Chacha Oukoku no Oji Chama. It will be released on October 25th!

This is an interesting duo indeed! Though, from what someone told me, both Yurina and Airi like to promote their love of green tea, which is why they are great candidates for this position, I guess! That said, I look forward to the song, and hopefully a PV will come alone, too!

Morning Musume

A video of Oda Sakura singing Kigatsukeba Anata during her solo FC event on August 22nd has been uploaded, so be sure to check it out!

Sakura truly does have a talent in singing, but, much like Sayu, I am worried that she will lose her true voice just to imitate others... and yeah, that's pretty sad to think about ):

It has been confirmed by both staff and Ikuta Erina herself that Eripon will represent Morning Musume alone on the September 18th episode of Sakigake 8 Special. Here, she will have a chance to appeal to the audience.

I am glad that UFP have finally found their brains and used them to put Eripon on a show alone; this girl has a quirk about her, and sure she can be annoying (not as bad as Momoko, of course) but she has variety talent... so I look forward to the episode and to see how she appeals to everyone, and how well she represents MoMusu. BRING ON THE PON!!! YEAH!!!

Also, she gets to stand near Fudanjuku. YES ;W; <3

Jplop | Natalie

A video for 10/Musume. Movie Morning Musume. 17 nen me mo sa, Ikou ka has been uploaded, so be sure to check it out!

The final part to the 1/Musume., and just as powerful as the others that have been posted. This is Morning Musume now. Are you ready for them?

Morning Musume have added a new tour date to their up-coming Morning Musume ~CHANCE!~ Concert! On November 28th, Morning Musume will perform at Budokan!

This will be the first concert at Budokan in a while where Morning Musume will perform without having to say farewell to anyone.

-dies happy-

The CM for Morning Musume DVD Magazine Vol. 53 has been uploaded, so be sure to check it out!

They went to the zoo, yaaa!!! Haruka is so cute with the animals, and so is Masakissu! D'awww, it's so sweet seeing little kids run around a zoo and a theme park XD

On September 24th, Ameba will host a special programme promoting Morning Musume's new Best Of Album, and the theme will be 'The Current Morning Musume'.

YAAAY PROMOTION *^* Happy time~

Berryz Kobou

There will be a boxset for the release of Motto Zutto Issho ni Itakatta/ROCK Erotic available via Pony Canyon!

Wow, those girls look uncomfortable and out of place in that group pic... there is seriously no group chemistry there, is there?

Other than that... YAY BOXSETS!!!!

Berryz Kobou will hold a mini-live and handshake event at Ikebukuro Sunshine City on October 2nd.

And they will wear their hideous dresses. YAY!!!!

Berryz Kobou will hold a mini-live and handshake event at Tower Records Shibuya on October 3rd.

Is this to try and promote Berryz so that people come to Budokan?

Yajima Maimi will release a new photobook titled Glass to Mizu on October 15th.

Where's Chissa's photobook? =_______________=

Juice=Juice will hold a mini-live and handshake event at Marui City in Shibuya on September 18th.

And there, Karin will make a miraculous recovery, kick her chair down and dance the night away! YEAH, JESUS!!!

Juice=Juice's major debut ranks at #2 on the Oricon! Here is the groups reaction to the news, so be sure to check it out!

It's exciting to see their reactions... awww, Yuka! Don't cry! Sayuki and Karin, too. Don't cry! Though honestly, it's amazing, well done girls!

... Even if you did have one hardcore fan buy about 100 copies of your single XD Either way, well done!

Up-Front Promotion News

Up Up Girls have announced that their new single, titled Starry Night/Seishun Buildup, will be released on October 30th!

I am hoping for something cute and Halloween themed, really, but with those titles... my dreams have been dashed!!! xD

It was announced on September 13th that former NMB48 member Fukumoto Aina will become a regular on MBS radio. This will be Aina's first regular programme after her graduation from NMB48 back in July.

Her first regular programme, titled Utagumi High School (title not fixed), will start on October 8th and will broadcast at 9pm from Tuesday through to Thursday.

It's great that Aina is able to get into Radio and improve herself as a Radio tarento. Hopefully many fans of both Aina and NMB48 will tune in to listen to her, and possibly send in messages!

(From Top Left to Bottom Right: Limited Edition A, Limited Edition B, Limited Edition C, Regular Edition A, Regular Edition B & Regular Edition C)

The covers for Kashiwagi Yuki's up-coming single, titled Birthday wedding, have been revealed! The single will be released on October 16th, and the title song is one that expresses the feelings of a couple who decide to get married.

Also, the song will be a tie-in with the wedding magazine Zexy, with a TV CM airing from Setptember 22nd. Kashiwagi Yuki will also be featured on a special cover of Zexy, where only 500 copies will be sold at Seven Net on September 23rd.

Beautiful covers, though really, does Kashiwagi never change her half-arsed smile? She looks bored on the covers, despite the beautiful dress she is wearing. Hell, it's like I'm watching Kristen Stewart in the final Twilight movie as she walks down the aisle, bored out of her mind. Urgh.

Tokyohive | 48 Scoops

The CM for AKB48's up-coming Blu-ray and DVD AKB48 Super Festival -Nissan Stadium, Chicche! Chicchakunaishi!- has been released, so be sure to take a look!

The live features their live where the group sang a total of 42 songs, and also shows the election event that was held where Sashihara Rino won the Senbatsu event, which had originally been held by Oshima Yuko.

Wait, they're actually releasing this on DVD? Wow. Did not expect that haha.

Youtube | Tokyo Girls' Update

On September 17th at Ikebukur Sunshine City, AKB48 member and enka soloist Iwasa Misaki announced the results for her first cover album Request Covers. The 12 songs present in the album were chosen by fan votes, and the album will release on November 6th.
"There were not only songs that I like, but songs that my father likes that made the top 12.  Of the 12 songs, first place song 'Akai Sweet Pea' is a song that I often sing at karaoke.  My mother is also a big fan of Matsuda Seiko, so I am extremely happy  [that the song was chosen.]" - Iwasa Misaki (Tokyohive)
"The songs are well-loved by many people, so I am nervous; however, I will do my best to sing with my true feelings for my fans and I will grow as a person through this cover album." - Iwasa Misaki (Tokyohive)
Track List:

1. Akai Sweetpea (Matsuda Seiko)
2. Toki no Nagare ni Mi o Makase (Teresa Teng)
3. Love Is Over (OuYang FeiFei)
4. Nada Sousou (Natsukawa Rimi)
5. Matsu wa (Amin)
6. Ai no Mamade… (Akimoto Junko)
7. Nagori Yuki (Iruka)
8. Hanamizuki (Hitoto Yo)
9. Blue Light Yokohama (Ishida Ayumi)
10. Kita no Yado Kara (Miyako Harumi)
11. Tsugunai (Teresa Teng)
12. Ettou Tsubame (Mori Masako)

I forgot that this was going on, but I am happy to see a beautiful song like Akai Sweetpea on there! I am also sure that Iwasa will do these songs justice!

Tokyohive | 48 Scoops

It has been revealed by Sashihara Rino that, in order to cut back the cost of renting a studio, the covers for Matsumura Kaori's debut solo single, MatsumuLove, will be shot in her agency's meeting room. Furthermore, Sasshi herself will be the photographer.

I actually love reading about the things Sasshi is doing for the debut single of Kaori, because they have a budget to work with, and Sasshi is making the debut interesting as well! A dress made out of newspaper articles concerning AKB48, and now taking the photographs herself. What will she do next? Film the music video in her own room, and put up shrines of Hello! Project and AKB48?

Matsui Jurina is the winner of this years Janken Tournament, and will be the centre for the 34th single!

It would have been less obvious that this tournament was rigged if Atsuko had won it. But yeah, seriously... I like Jurina, but this is disappointing. It's obvious that the Odds were in her Favour, and it's annoying, too.

The covers for NMB48's 8th single, titled Kamonegikkusu, have been revealed!

Not going to lie, but these look like something Momoiro Clover Z would produce for single covers, not NMB48. Also, is the Space theme seriously in right now, or at least tinfoil theme? S/mileage with Yattaruchan, Afilia Saga with Sagashite☆Neptune, and Bakusute Sotokande Icchome with Bishoujo Mokushiroku? Seriously... there is a space theme going on in the Idol world here!!! o-o

It has been announced that NMB48's Kobayashi Rikako of Team BII will be withdrawing from AKB48's 4th Janken Tournament, which will be held on September 18th at Nippon Budokan.

The reason for her withdrawal is because, since some months ago, Rikako has been receiving treatment for discomfort in her foot. Her symptoms, however, have worsened, and so she has withdrawn. Rikako commented:
"Recently the pain has gotten worse so I had been enduring the pain in my foot during performances."
"I will do my best to show my healthy self to everyone as soon as possible. Until then, please wait for me." - Kobayashi Rikako (NMB48)
*Translated and provided by Tokyohive

It is sad to know that a member of NMB48 is going through this. It's sad to know that any Idol has been having pains and aches, and that they are having to stop performing. I just hope that Rikako rests until she is fully healed, because it would be sad if her injury forced her to graduate from a group she seems to love and enjoy being in.

Please rest and get well soon, Rikako. Your fans and fellow members will patiently wait for you to heal.

Tokyohive | MELOS no Michi

It has been revealed that NMB48 members Jonishi Kei, Kotani Riho and Ogasawara Mayu will visit Taiwan in October.

This will be an exciting venture for the girls, and hopefully they will promote their group with much enthusiasm and love, and greet the fans warmly! Have fun, girls!

48 Scoops

It has been revealed that HKT48 and Itano Tomomi will perform in Sendai leg for the Mezamashi LIVE ISLAND TOUR 2013 on October 5th.

I guess this is awesome news? XD

It has been revealed that Nogizaka46 will perform in Sendai leg for the Mezamashi LIVE ISLAND TOUR 2013 on October 21st!

Three acts produced by AKS going, eh? Interesting... especially considering none of them belong to AKB48 (well... not now, at least xD)

It has been confirmed that Nogizaka46 will be the main MC's for Bentou Shoujo! Members Matsumura Sayuri, Hashimoto Nanami and Wakatsuki Yumi will be the MC's for the music show, and will rotate weekly.

A great opportunity for all the girls, so congrats to those who will become MC's!

Misc Idols and Groups News

It has been announced that AAA member Nishijima Takahiro will star in a new NHK drama, titled Taiyou no Wana, which will premiere on November 30th. This will Takahiro's first starring role in an NHK drama.

NISHII!!! <3 Oh, Nishii, you deserve this! You are so gorgeous and, whilst you were so moody in Tumbling, I hope you are a bit livelier in this, and also... I am jealous of the girl who plays your wife! UWAAAA ;A;

It has been revealed that Tokyo Girls' Style member Arai Hitomi and popular DJ/Track maker unit dancinthruthenights have collaborated together and released their original song, titled Maji Ben NOW! feat. Arai Hitomi on SoundCloud! Be sure to check it out!

The song is a disco tune that describes the worries of students who are busy studying. The song includes a rap, so be sure to listen out for it!

An interesting song, I guess... and Arai is a rather pretty singer. I'm not the biggest fan of it, but it sounds catchy enough. Hopefully many fans of Arai and dancinthruthenights will enjoy this!

Tokyo Girls' Update | SoundCloud

(From Top Left to Bottom Right: Limited A, Limited B, Regular Edition and Special Price Edition)

The covers for Idoling!!!'s Yokoyama Rurika's second single, titled Your Voice, My Life, have been revealed! It will be released in four different versions, and will be available from October 9th.

The covers are really simple, but beautiful as well. I think that Limited B and the Regular Edition versions of this single have the greatest impact because of how close they are to Rurika in terms of a shot. Amazingly stunning!

Tokyohive | Tokyo Girls' Update

Afilia Saga will be releasing their 11th single, titled S.M.L☆, which will be released on November 13th!

There will be 14th editions of the single available, including different versions of each member of Afilia Saga.

It has been revealed that S.M.L☆ will be the opening theme for the anime Ore no Nounai Sentakushi ga, Gakuen Love Come o Zenryoku de Jama Shiteiru, and the coupling track, titled Mirai Botan, will be the ending theme song for the video game Hyperdimension Neptunia Re'Birth 1.

I was not a massive fan of their last single or the MV, but hopefully this one will be better... hopefully...

The costumes are already better, that's for sure!

J-pop Idols

PV/Song Previews

The short PV for NMB48's 8th single, Kamonegikkusu, has been revealed, so be sure to check it out!

The costumes seriously remind me of the recent PV from Bakusute Sotokande Icchome, and the PV seems like something that MomoClo Z would do, but I am impressed by how intense the opening is, and the dance as well... I didn't expect this, to be honest, but wow... NMB48 are getting serious! You go, girls!

The short MV for Shiina Pikarin's up-coming single, Toroamachu, has been uploaded, so be sure to check it out and be charmed by her cuteness!

In a sense this is quite devilish I guess, but deathly cute. Also, Pikarin, you love women? LOVE ME ;W;

A new short MV shot in the style of a Horror movie for NMB48's up-coming single, titled Omowase Kousen, has been revealed! The song is a part of the groups 8th single Kamonegikkusu, so be sure to check it out!

It looks okay... but the song really does not match the tone of the video. AKS seriously need to figure out the tone of the song before fitting it with the mood of the video.

Press Release/Promotional Videos

Oricon, JIJIPRESS, Movie Collection and Ikebukuro TV have released footage from Juice=Juices release event for their major debut single Romance no Tochuu. Be sure to check it out!

It is sad to see that Karin is still in a chair, because she is an excellent dancer and I know it must be hard for her to not join in with everyone else in the dance, but she has done well to perform as she is right now! Also, well done to everyone else for performing at such a high standard and delivering a great performance! Well done, girls!

Also, it seems like a lot of people ruly support Juice=Juice, which makes me really happy. So, good luck girls, and go forth! FIGHTO!!!

Oricon | JIJIPRESS | Movie Collection | Ikebukuro TV

Sayashi Riho, Kudo Haruka and Oda Sakura attended the press release event for the release of the Michishige Eleven Soul live concert Photobook, uploaded courtesy of JIJIPRESS, so be sure to check it out!

The fu--- they seem to actually be using Haruka a lot for promotions now o-O FINALLY!

Now, let her fucking sing!

JIJIPRESS, MAiDiGi TV and Oricon have released footage from Morning Musume's Anniversary event that they held September 14th. Be sure to check it out!

I hear that Riho still can't control her voice or sing with tune and correct pitch. Oh well. That said, Fukuhime is looking freakin' GORGEOUS right now! YUM!!! <3

Performances and TV Appearances

Hello! Project members Michishige Sayumi, Iikubo Haruna, Shimizu Saki, Tsugunaga Momoko, Tokunaga Chinami, Yajima Maimi, Nakajima Saki, Suzuki Airi, Okai Chisato, Wada Ayaka, Fukuda Kanon, Miyazaki Yuka and Kanazawa Tomoko have all appeared on the Waratte Iitomo! on 13th September! Be sure to check out the show!

*This is Part One

All the leaders are there, and then all the personality driven members, too... well, except for Maimi, who is devoid of personality all together. Also, I am surprised that 4/5 of C-ute were there. What about Mai? Was she Tsundere-ing it out in the back or something? Also... wow... I don't know about Nyon's hair, I mean it... makes her look a bit like a monkey... like Risako's hair sometimes makes her look like a monkey... yeah o-o

Part 1 | Part 2

Morning Musume appeared on the show Jouhou 7 days newscaster on 14th September to promote their new single, so be sure to take a look!

I'm glad that Haruka was able to comment here... UFP don't usually like to let her sing, let alone speak, do they...?

Tsugunaga Momoko, Okai Chisato and Kudo Haruka appeared on a morning TV show on Nagoya TV. Please take a look!

*Note, this is Part One

As someone on JPLOP said, this is mostly an advertisement for an Anime or something. But whatever, Haruka exposure is all I need, though Momoko can GTFO.

Part 1 | Part 2

And that is all we have for this week! Hopefully this was enough to satisfy your hunger for Idol News this week, but if you crave more, you may just have to wait until next week, after you have digested everything here. Until next time, though... ja ne!!!

  1. Mai isn't 18 so she can't be out past like 10 or something like. And kanons hair looks like a wig lol

    1. oh wow, I forgot about that! I didn't know that show was a late night one, but thanks! And yeah, it does! xD

  2. Is it just me, or does Berryz Koubou seem bored in their videos lately? I think it is time for them to graduate.

    1. It isn't just you, they do look bored. It's annoying sometimes, but I also think it is time for them to graduate.

  3. I'm also thinking they should graduate. This could hasten the formation of new group out of kks. I got a feeling next year they will.

    1. Oh gosh, yes! If Berryz graduated next year, or announced their graduation at Budokan, I would not be terribly saddened. I would like to see a group that is new and has more get up and go, and earnest and passion, for performing. Berryz are past it.

  4. I think the real problem with berryz is that they aren't close with each other. Sure they sing in the same group but when I see group photos it looks like they don't wanna touch each other. There is absolutely no chemistry between them

    1. They are close with each other, they've called each other second family and what not. I think they're just being given mediocre songs, if you look back at their older songs they were amazing

    2. Yes, them being not so close is seriously an issue. Their music is fine I think, but as you say, they are in the same group but they have no chemistry. It's saddening.

    3. @Anonymous2 The thing is, even if they are close, they don't mesh well together. Their images and how they seem to act towards each other in a PV does not go down well, they look like they don't want to be there, or two be with each other. I mean, Miyabi and Chinami looked happy and alive in the MellowQuad PV, but here they look like they want to be somewhere else.

If they are close, then they don't act like it on camera.
