I think that I should officially call this week 'JE Week', because all I've wanted to review is JE related videos (and maybe some Show Luo, but he isn't in JE so boo!). I've really been fangirling over them lately, so I felt like it was time to review the videos they all did. And this time, it's Arashi's turn!
Arashi are probably the group I would dub as my 'favourites', purely because I like their music more than the other groups, and they're the ones who make me incredibly happy when I watch them perform. I don't know why, they just do! They just seem a lot more entertaining, and whilst I adored the PV for LOCK-ON, this video is just as good, and it makes me feel extremely energetic and super happy!
So, without further ado, let's get on with a rather long, much needed pic-spam of this wonderful PV called Wild at Heart!
The opening scene isn't as pretty as Hey! Say! Jump!'s is, but meh! It works.
Looks like Arashi are going back to the basics by using an old filter! :O
Oh wait, there's colour! And Jun is working that hat!
You work that hat, you gorgeous man <3
Oh lord, they have those horrible trousers that Miyabi was stuck with in Hatsukoi Cider...
Poor men... They pull them off better than Miyabi did, though
Ohno is wonderful in this PV, he really kept me entertained and I love him for it <3
If I'm correct, this is Nino? Well, whomever it is - scream, boy, scream!
Jun is looking cool, despite being trapped between walls...
Nino: "I'm with him"
Jun: "Who, me?"
Aiba looks like he is having a blast!
(Please correct me if I get any of these guys wrong!)
Oh, no! Ohno is trapped!
Jun looks cool, and Ohno looks like he is trying to describe his perfect woman...
Jun! You're no longer trapped! You can just side-walk the hell out of there!
Jun: "Nah, I'm gonna hang here..."
"Don't worry about me guys, I'm cool here."
"How the fuck do I get out of here!? ARRRRGH!!!"
Ohno: "I'll get you, you dickwads!"
Oh man, Sho (is this one Sho?) looks absolutely petrified here XD
Oh. My. God... SPARKLES!!!!!
Sadly, their trousers still don't fit them properly... xD
Kick those legs high, boys! Kick them!
Okay, now straddle those microphones like there is no tomorrow! Whew!
Oh, now that looks like a fun orgy party ;D
But, Jun no longer wants to be a part of it! Ooooh! ;(
I don't like Aiba's voice, but he is really cute in this video! Squee!
Sho: "Das Cool, bro!"
Aiba: "Whoa, those lights are... shiny..."
Nino: "Wyh the hell do you keep mixing me and Sho up, girl!?"
I dunno! You two look similar! -googles them both-
Good thing that Nino's trapped, or he'd strangle me for contiuously mixing him and Sho up... :/
Aw damn, they lost the sunglasses! But they kept the sparkles!!!
Looks like they're having fun there xD
Sho: "Living La Vida Loca!"
Jun salutes you all, and Sho is having a blast!!!
Sho thinks that he's fine where he is, so he just waves you off...
... and Aiba strips!!!! -gets out camera-
Arashi: "We give you fanservice for YOUR pleasure!!!"
Now wouldn't they make a wonderful host club? ;D
... -drools over Jun-
Ohno: "Won't you Love Me?"
... Yes, yes I will! -hugs Ohno-
And suddenly, Aiba's become a model?
Haha, you work it, boy! -no idea who that one is, though it might be Ohno-
Sho has just accepted his fate...
... Whilst Nino tries his best to keep away from that invisible spider on the group!
Poor guys have no way of escaping this box of absolute colour!!!
Sho decides to give us a small dose of his love gun point thing...
Sho: "Bang! Bang!"
Jun: "Dafuq is this wall made of!?"
And, because they all stalled, the door closes on them and locks Arashi between the walls for all of eternity...
Okay, so, I like Arashi - they're probably going to be my favourite JE group next to Pre-pubescent Zone or H!S!J if I continue to listen to songs by this group, because I like the sound of their music, and their videos are geneally really well-put together and extremely fun to watch. I enjoyed Meikyuu Love Song's PV and how well the idea was executed, and it pretty much goes the same for this PV. It's a lot simpler, but it works...
JE seem to be pumping out the simple ideas right now, don't they?
Anyway, let's talk about the video first. Oh, the video. If LOCK-ON hadn't been so fantastic, I think that Wild at Heart would have been my favourite PV from the current videos brought out by JE these past few months. I mean, I love this PV, I honestly do, but I liked LOCK-ON a lot more, mostly because of how wonderfully simple and entertaining it was. But this video is just as equally entertaining, and a helluva lot funnier, too. When I first watched the video for this song, I was laughing from the expressions the guys were giving, especially Ohno. Now, if LOCK-ON made me see how beautiful Kame was, this PV showed me just how wonderful Ohno is, and seriously, I think I'm becoming an Ohno fangirl now.
Going back to the expressions - Ohno definitely shows the funniest, and quirkiest, facial expressions in this video, especially when he's trapped against the walls. He just seemed to be having a blast with this entire video shooting, and how he expressed himself throughout the video entertained me. It made me notice him, and I have begun to like him more because of this. I just want to become his fan and squee over him! He's adorable!
With the rest of the members - Jun is just hot, we all know that. I can't really say much else. Aiba is, for some reason, hot in my eyes. I like his body for no reason at all. I just really noticed how nice he looked in this video. Sho... Oh man, Sho might become a favourite of mine too. I loved how he looked in this entire PV, and whilst I seem to mix him and Nino up a lot, I loved how Sho acted in this video. I really took notice of him, and he entertained me throughout the video. Sadly, the same doesn't go for Nino. He really bored me to high heavens here. Sorry, Nino D;
Anyway, let's give the members a rest and talk about the rest of the video. I absolutely loved all of the scenes, especially the sparkles and the wall scenes. I was anticipating the sparkly scenes because they appeared in the preview, and really, I love the glitz and glam that these guys bring up randomly. Okay, it reminded me of Yume Miru 15 sai (the background) but I enjoyed it. I liked their costumes for that part, too. It made the PV a lot more fun and energetic, and really set it apart from LOCK-ON and Super Delicate. Visually, this PV is probably the best - there was a lot going on, though it was doing simply, and there is quite a bit of colour in this video... and sparkles!!!
This video is extremely enjoyable. It makes me smile and feel happy - it seems to be quite an infectious video, because whenever those guys smile, I do. Especially Ohno. I really like this video, and I am happy that it made me notice the other members more outside of MatsuJun and Nino, because honestly... I was not interested in looking up the other members and finding out their names until this PV showed me how awesome all of these guys were. Seriously, Ohno and Sho now have my heart in their hands <3
Ookay, song time... Oh, this song! It's really fun and quirky, something I wasn't expecting since the title of the song is Wild at Heart. I thought that, because of the title, the song would be like a Western-themed rodeo, with cowboy boots and spurs and the like. Hopefully, that sort of PV and sort of song will come out one day - but it isn't today. Damn!
Anyway, getting away from my weird cowboy-esque PV idea, I enjoyed the song. I thought that it was really great, and it's really enjoyable. All of these guys sound amazing together, though when they're seperate... er, well, I only really like Ohno's and Nino's voices, to be honest, and maybe Sho's. Aiba and Jun can't really sing well, though. Or maybe Aiba is naturally nasally? I dunno, but I hated how they sounded here. However, their voices worked quite well with the song and luckily they don't have that many solo's to distract from the rest of the song, unlike other members which seem to promote shit singers. Morning Musume, cough cough
Other than certain voices that don't appeal to me, I enjoyed the song - I loved how Ohno and Jun sounded together, and how everyone sounded together. They are all great together, and they made the song fun and quirky. I just enjoyed it, and there is nothing more that I can say about how much I liked it! I've pretty much said it all!
So yeah, that's it. I love the PV, and the song is great! I like how the PV made me happy and really brightened my day. I love the expressions that they all give, especially when they're trapped by the walls. Nino's expressions there were priceless, but he did bore me through the rest of the PV, and I am happy that when I watched this, I noticed Ohno more and I found a liking for Sho. If a PV can make me like members more, and notice them and their quirky craziness, then the PV must be good, right?
Well, whatever - the PV is good, and it's simple, but not overly simple, and effective. If you haven't watched it yet, then I highly suggest that you check it out, because Arashi are an amazing group, and this PV just makes me want to continue following them.
I hope you guys enjoy it, and do you all have a favourite member?
Chiima~
