Okay! Musume Digest #61

Minna! Digest Dayo?

In this weeks Digest...

HouPri's new members are revealed to be Apprentices! A new SATOYAMA unit has been announced!? Just who can it be? MoMusu dress as humbugs for their new single! Fairies release the PV preview for their latest MV, which includes 3D graphics! Koisuru Fortune Cookie has a Staff ver! Bakusute Sotokonde Icchome reveal the short MV for their latest single! And a little bit more! Minna, do you want to Digest with me?

The Digest Dayo phrase is sticking with me now, and you can all blame Mano for being a part of the cast for Minna! Esper Dayo! xD I just love the saying, haha!

Anyway, this week I finally got off my ass and PV reviewed two videos I have wanted to review since they came out. It's nice to do something that isn't news based, to be honest, because July really has been all about news, hasn't it? Or at least it has here.

Also, this week I watched a few random movies... I watched Ted for the first time, and it was disappointing XD I also watched a series called The 10th Kingdom which I loved! I want a sequel... I really love fairytale movies, so this was amazing to watch! If anyone has fairytale movie suggestions, please tell me about them! <3

Anyways, enough with the chitter chatter, shall we get onto the Digest? Remember to use ctrl + f for easier navigation through the post! YAY!

Video of the Week

HANABI!! by LinQ

I usually don't post PV's that I have reviewed recently for a Video of the Week, but seriously, this was one of the songs that I looped to death this week because I just enjoyed it so much! For me, this is a great summer song. It's energetic, fun and cheeful, and the look and feel of the PV itself just makes me think of how summer is, and what great food we can eat in the summer! Also, it makes me crave watermelon... and sweet corn... Oh, and shaved ice...

Also...

Picture of the Week

"JAKKU-SAN! WATASHI WA TONDE IMASU!!!"

My friend commented on this image via FB with that phrase, and I just loved it! Of course I had to use it for the picture of the week... Thanks, Neru! XD

Okay, that all said and done, I do indeed that that it is time for the...

Comments:

I did not expect this, but Holy crap... wow! An unlikely duo, but I am really excited to see what these two can bring, because one is so demure and soulless (Karin) and the other is such a restless kid! The combination may be awesome, and seriously... these two voices together, this will be awesome!

Now Satoyama has a shitty-singing duo (Peaberry) and now an awesome singing duo (Jurin). WOOHOO!!!!

Yajima Maimi graces the cover of Baseball Game magazine!

Comments:

Given that this is for a baseball magazine, I would have thought the Yattaruchan duo would be on the cover, and not Maimi. I mean, she didn't throw the first pitch, did she?

It has been announced that Bakusute Sotokande Icchome will be re-releasing their first indie DVD boxset for the general public. Furthermore, there will also be a second boxset available covering their activity fro their major debut to the present.

The covers for THE Possible's next single, titled Otome! Be Ambitious! have been revealed! There are six editions available, and the single will be released on September 11th.

Comments:

I do quite like THE Possible's covers for their songs, because I love the focus on the girls... if MoMusu did that, though, we would have a lot of editions to collection. Now, imagine if AKB did that... o-O

The two new 'Apprentice' members of Houkago Princess are Fukuhara Kyoka (Left) and Nagasawa Marina (Right). These two girls are new members alongside 5th generation Cadet candidate, Sakurai Riho.

Both Kyoka and Marina seem to be the first two 'Apprentices', and seem to have a lower rank than cadets. They have yet to be given blogs or Twitter accounts.

Kyoka is good at ballet, whilst Marina is good with voice imitation.

Comments:

I am glad to finally see profiles of the girls, however it seems that the staff are trying to keep the new site under wraps for now, as it has reverted back to how it was last night. O well! I am just happy to see their images, and it seems I got a name wrong when I was updating the HouPri profiles or something...

PV/Song Previews

The PV preview for Fairies' new song Hikari no Hate ni has finally been revealed! The video makes use of 3D projection mapping, and shows the girls interacting with their 3D scenery in this fun PV! Be sure to check it out!

Comments:

I do feel that, at times, the video drags on with the long shots and that they should have cut them short, because it just feels like they are showing off the 3D effects and not the girls, which for me is highly disappointing. There are too many long shots, even in this small preview...

A 'Staff Version' Music Video for AKB48's 32nd single, Koisuru Fortune Cookie, has been released! Be sure to take a look at the video and enjoy the fun that is the Staff of AKS dancing to the song!

Comments:

Holy crap, this is hilarious! Everyone, watch it... NOW!!! XD XD Watch it until the end!!!!

This... is... GOLD!!!

The short PV for Bakusute Sotokande Icchome's Bishoujo Mokushiroku has been released, so be sure to check it out!

Comments:

Okay, I did not expect the song that started playing, that was for sure... I am used to this group being quite Idol-like and energetic, not cool and, well... quite sexy! That said, this is pretty damn awesome! Their group chemistry is awesome! And also, they need to give their capes to Meimi, because they look awfully Vampire-ish...

Comments:

I have to say, seeing this short making of makes it a lot more impressive to watch for me. You can really see how the girls really did have to interact with the images in order to bring everything to life! It's amazing, and I look forward to the PV so much more now! Bring it on, Fairies!

A trailer for the Minna! Esper Dayo! boxset has been uploaded, so be sure to check it out if yu enjoyed this series!
