I am one person, and whilst I do post about groups that I like as well as groups that I barely even follow (read: BABYMETAL) that does not mean I will also actively look for news on the Idols you may follow. If I do not have the resources, I will not be able to post much or anything about them. Please respect this, as I don't have the time to go scouring across the internet for Idols that I know next to nothing about, or that I have little to no resources to. Again, I am ONE person; if I had a team behind me it would be a lot easier, however this is something that I do for me, in my own free time, because I want to. I could just as easily not do this, however I do it because I want to, and I find it fun. Thank you.

Ignore my lateness, I know. I suck.

So this week I have no excuse for my lateness... Seriously, all I've been doing is playing bloody Otome Games. I am not exaggerating. The one time I finally get into the dating sims my sister has been prodding me to play for like, what? 2 years, it's now xD I'm kind of kicking myself for it, half out of 'Oh my GOSH why have I not PLAYED YOU BEFORE NOW!?' and the other half being 'ARRRGH YOUR DIGEST, YOU HAS DIGEST, SCREEEEAM!!!'. Of course I remembered that, for my blog, I can go about my own pace, but that doesn't mean I don't feel guilty, cos I do... I feel stupidly guilty, especially since I have been consistently late these past few months/weeks...

Which is why I guess I am changing my due date for Digest to Thursday/Friday. It will be either one, but it's still going to be later than a Wednesday xD Hopefully this will mean I am less (lol yeah right) lazy and actually do it on the due date. I dunno, only time will tell.

Still, I profusely apologise for the lateness of this Digest. That said, I won't always post it on time because of whatever happens in my personal life, or distractions...

This has been my Jam this week, alongside Install and Bitter&Sweet (both by the group Bitter&Sweet), but this one has been the song I have just... well, jammed HARD to these past couple of days. It's literally what I have woken up to in my mind and just wanted to sing along to. It's cute, sweet, the vocals have a pretty good variety, and those little ad-libs in the song! Just. So. SWEET!

Shock and surprise aside, these are not very flattering images, are they? In nearly all of them okay, all of them at least one girl looks awkward or like she gives little to no fucks. Like, Kanananana looks like she wants to cry in all of these covers, Dawa looks stiff and awkward as heck in most of the covers (especially Reg. B and Reg. A, urgh), Nyon doesn't care any more (the soul has been sucked outta her eyes) and I think Meimi has no clue why this is happening to her.

Either way, bad covers are bad. Not in style or whatever, style is okay (though over-used... UFP be liking this kinda style as of late) just in... execution, how the girls look, how they portray 'emotion' (lack of). Just... it's all so forced and awkward and bad!!!

The 48 million 47 members of AKB48's Team 8 have been chosen! For this Team, one girl was chosen from each prefecture of Japan, and are aged between 12 and 19! The group was created with the concept of 'Idols who meet the fans' and were created as a collaboration project between AKB48 and Toyota.

This Team is more of a sell-out than AKB48 and the rest of the franchise is as a whole. Yes, I said franchise. It's rather funny how they managed to make one team more of a product than the whole 48's are, actually... though in a way I feel sorry that the girls are simply there for the sake of making money and being a product of promotion.

In a way though, I guess that's how most Idols work... -sigh-

J-Pop Idols

AKB48 will release their 4th Documentary film, it has been revealed. Titled Documentary of AKB48 The time has come, Shoujotachi wa, ima, Sono Senaka ni Nani Omou?, the documentary film will open in theatres nationwide on July 4th.

The documentary film will feature the groups big team reshuffle, Oshima Yuko's graduation, and also the 37th single senbatsu elections to be held this June. There will also be interviews and behind the scenes footage.

Furthermore, a special website has been opened, and a trailer for the documentary film has been revealed.

Hmmm, another documentary film? I haven't watched the others, but it's nice to see that they are still giving us documentaries about Japan's biggest super-group. I mean, I love documentaries why the hell have I not watched these then!? so I think for a group to do this is a really good move, especially one with such popularity like the 48's.

Seeing the trailer actually makes me want to see it too... oh dear >o>

It has been revealed that AKB48 members Owada Nana, Kawaei Rina and Takahashi Juri will star in the drama Sailor Zombie, where the girls take on the roles of highschool students fighting against zombies whilst continuing their studies.

Mukaichi Mion, a Kenkyuusei member, will make an appearance as a cute zombie.

The drama will consist of 12 episodes, with the first starting on April 18th.

On April 10th it was revealed that Team E's Icguchi Shiori and Kaneko Shiori would be graduating from the group. The girls will continue to participate with the group in up-coming events until April 29th, with their last show on April 22nd.

It has been revealed that Bakusute Sotokande Icchome members Hario Arisa, Horiuchi Kaori and Moroboshi Azuna will participate in Napoli Comicon and Katagames 2014 in Italy this year!

The members will attend the events on April 26th-27th for Katagames 2014 at Catania in Sicily, and the event for Napoli Comicon will take place from May 1st until the 4th at Mostra d'Oltremare in Naples.

This will mark the members' first appearance overseas.

TIF 2014 | J-Pop Idols | Tokyo Girls Update

GEM will release their second single Do You Believe? on June 4th it has been revealed! The feature song is also being used as the opening theme song for the show Pink!ss.

Three versions are available; Type A, Type B and a Special Edition which will only be available at event venues and on the mu-mo store.

Type A will come with a DVD that includes the Music Video and an off-shot video, whilst Type B will come with three songs instead of two. The Special Edition will come with the two main songs on the single, as well as the instrumentals for the songs.

Prizmmy☆ have revealed their newest member, Miyazaki Hina! Originally, Hina had been a part of Prism☆Mates, however she replaced the spot of Sema Ayami, who graduated from the group on March 30th this year.

Tokyo Girls' Style will release their new album, titled Killing Me Softly, on June 4th it has been revealed. This will be their 4th album release.

14 songs will be contained within the album, including their recent single songs and new titles. Three editions will be available to purchase.

Palet have revealed that on April 24th, during their release event for their second single, the group will form a special one-time unit with Enka singer Jiro Kanmuri, a senior in their company and an experienced Enka singer.

Palet have asked fans to come up with a unit name, with entries being given between a period of the 9th until the 18th of April, and the winner will receive an autograph of palet and Jiro Kanmuri. The unit's name will be revealed on April 24th.

Both palet's second single and Jiro Kanmuri's new single Boukyo Etoranze, will be released on April 23rd.

On April 7th, E-girls and Happiness member Sugieda Mayu announced her withdrawal from both groups, with plans to perform as a soloist.

As always, it's saddening to see a member leave a group, and even though I hardly follow E-girls now (their music became bland) it's sad to see a talented member leave. Still, it seems that she knows what she wants to do with her life and I am glad she has decided to further grow in her solo performances from here on out! Good luck Mayu! I hope your future becomes brighter, and far more colourful.

It has been announced that Weather Girls will release their new single titled Like You ♥ Anyway, which will go on sale from June 4th. The title song will be used as the ending theme for the drama Tetsuko no Sodatekata, which premiered on April 7th.

There will be three different types for the single; Limited Edition A, Limited Edition B and Regular Edition.

Furthermore, the girls will make an appearance in the drama their song is used as the ending theme for, and will play as girls who are part of an Idol group called Tetsudou Girls.

Character visual art for the up-coming live action adaptation of Lupin III has been revealed! Oguri Shun will play the lead, Lupin, whilst Tamayama Tetsuji plays as Jigen Daisuke, Ayano Go as Ishikawa Goemon, Kuroki Meisa as Mine Fujiko, and Asano Tadanobu portraying the role of Zenigata Koichi.

The film is set for release on August 30th.
