If this post does not contain an Idol group you yourself actively follow, then my deepest apologies, but I cannot follow each and every Idol group on the planet. I am one person, and whilst I do post about groups that I like as well as groups that I barely even follow (read: BABYMETAL) that does not mean I will also actively look for news on the Idols you may follow. If I do not have the resources, I will not be able to post much or anything about them. Please respect this, as I don't have the time to go scouring across the internet for Idols that I know next to nothing about, or that I have little to no resources to. Again, I am ONE person; if I had a team behind me it would be a lot easier, however this is something that I do for me, in my own free time, because I want to. I could just as easily not do this, however I do it because I want to, and I find it fun. Thank you.

The Digest this week will contain news from the past week, and bits and pieces of News that I found interesting overall from the time that I have been away. Bigger pieces will be talked about separately on individual posts, as I generally have more to say regarding anything related to certain groups or individuals, depending on what has happened to them these past three weeks. To everyone who has been waiting patiently for me to update with a Digest, I apologise for my extreme lateness, terrible manners in not updating you with a Weekly dose of news like I promise, and I also thank you for waiting. You should not have waited, and for that I am deeply sorry.

Admittedly, even with this weeks news I skipped a bit from the H!P section that I thought was boring and I didn't want to talk about. I know it's bad and all, but really... wasn't my Digest originally built on the desire to talk about News that was too small to comment on for a post on its own, but that I still found intriguing enough to talk about? I feel like I have reverted a bit in that sense, but I just didn't want to talk about a few things I found pointless... if you know what I mean, that is xD

That all said and done, here is this weeks Digest for you all. I did aim for it to be posted Wednesday, however a pressure headache and four days of terrible sleep caught up with me, and so I went to bed earlier than intended. I'd rather sleep than stress myself out more with a Digest, you know? So... here we go!

Kimi no Tonari de Odoritai! by Doll☆Elements

Since coming back to Idols this past week, this is probably the song that I have been obsessed with the most. Sure, it isn't a patch on the last single by Doll☆Elements (and I listened to that to the death, I swear!) but it is just as catchy, cute and fun to listen to! It is so sweet and gentle in vocal work, and it has become pretty addictive rather quickly! I really like this song, and whilst it sounds pretty similar to their last song in many ways (not gonna lie, it does) it makes me realise just how pretty their sound is, and how it works well for them - soft singing voices, a nice backing beat and a fun vibe all around.

Hearing this song for the first time also allowed me to realise just how much I am starting to like this group; they have become a group that I look out for more now, and they are fun to watch too! So sweet, and really, I wish I had dolls who could sing, look and dance like them! Kyaaa, I am in love!!!

The Hello! Project Kenshuusei will release a new CD and DVD at the venue for the Bokutachi Karen na Shonen Gasshodan musical, which stars some of the Trainees. The CD will include the musical tracks from the play starring the Kenshuusei, whilst the DVD will include unreleased content from December 2013, including footage from the trainees own show.

Well, this is good news for the Kenshuusei fans, and to those who will be attending the musical! Hopefully everyone will be able to get a copy of both the CD and DVD if they attend, as these seem like awesome items to get if you are a Kenshuusei fan!

It has been revealed that Sengoku Minami of Up Up Girls will hold her first ASolo Live on April 30th. On that day, the leader of the energetic group will celebrate her 23rd birthday and the live performance will take place at Shibuya WWW in Tokyo.

The announcement was made on March 7th.

Not the most interesting of announcements in my opinion, but it is still really exciting to hear that Minami will be holding her very first solo live! I know that she takes pride in UUG (or at least that's the vibe I get from her) and she works hard, plus she's very popular within the group, so the solo live is very much deserved! Congrats, Minami! It has been revealed that AKB48 sub-unit Not Yet will release their first album titled Already on April 23rd. The album will contain new songs as well as their latest single releases.

Four versions of the album are available for purchase.

AKB48 will hold their 6th Senbatsu election! The General election that takes place every year will allow the fans to determine the centre for the 37th single, set for an August release, and the girl with the most votes will win the desired position that many have longed for!

Furthermore, for the first time the members will be ranked within the Top 80!  They will be included as a part of the following units;

Senbatsu: Ranks 1-16
Under Girls: Ranks 17-32
Next Girls: Ranks 33-48
Future Girls: Ranks 49-64
Upcoming Girls: Ranks 65-80

All girls from AKB48, SKE48, NMB48 and HKT48 other than those set to graduate before March 22nd can apply to have a chance at becoming a Senbatsu member. It has also been revealed that Nakagawa Haruka and Chikano Rina, both a part of JKT48, can also apply as candidates.

The voting period will run from May 20th until June 6th, with the event itself being held on June 7th at Ajinomoto Stadium in Tokyo.

Deguchi Aki of Team S has announced her graduation from SKE48. She made the announcement herself during a performance with Team S on March 13th, the same day she celebrated her 26th birthday.

She has explained that she wants to continue to pursue her activities as a singer.

Her graduation ceremony will be held in April.

I'm always surprised by graduations, though I've become used to them regarding the 48's so quickly too... still, it's sad that Aki is leaving the group, however it is also a great time for her to go solo as well. She is 26, she has a lot of experience under her belt, and I am sure that all her fans and fellow SKE members will support her!

Kito Momona of Team E has announced her graduation from SKE48. She made the announcement on March 16th during the SKE48 Team E stage, citing her reasons for her graduation being that she had wanted to experience new things since turning 20 last year.

Her graduation will take place some time in April, though the date has yet to be determined.

On March 20th it was announced that Kenkyuusei member Miura Arisa had officially been promoted to Team M. She was one of the few 3rd generation Kenkyuusei members to not be promoted to Team BII.

NMB48 will release their album NMB48 Team N 3rd Stage Koko ni Datte Tenshi wa Iru on March 31st. The setlist of the album includes 17 songs which were performed on November 19th, 2013 at their Theatre performance in Osaka.

On March 23rd, during the final live performance of HKT48  Kyushu 7 Prefecture Tour ~Kawaii  Ko ni wa Tabo wo Saseyo~, it was announced that Kenkyuusei members Ui Mashiro and Ueno Haruko were officially promoted to Team H!

Furthermore, Kenkyuusei members  Ito Raira and Iwahana Shino were both promoted to Team KIV on the same day! All four girls joined the group as second generation members back in 2012.

Congrats to the girls!

It has been revealed that Sasaki Ayaka of Momoiro Clover Z will voice act for the first time! She will take on the role of a character called Athena (Saori Kido) who is the main heroine of the up-coming movie Saint-Seiya Legend of Sanctuary, which is CG animated movie.

The story within the movie is based on the manga of the same name, and will be directed by Sato Keiichi.

It has been revealed that idol DJ duo Kurikamaki have revealed a third, new member to their unit! Ayumi is the third member to the cute group, and will officially begin her activities in May. Ayumi had been introduced as the latest addition to the group on March 23rd during their performance at Shibuya WWW in Tokyo.

Due to the new member addition, the group will also change their name! Be sure to keep an eye out for what the new name might be!

The title for Momoiro Clover Z's up-coming 13th single has been unveiled, as well as the promotional artwork for the single. The title will be Naitemo Iindayo, with the title track being written by Miyuki Nakajima. The track will be used as the theme song for the movie Akumu-chan the Movie.

The coupling track has also been revealed as DouDou Heiwa Sengen, and is being used as the theme tune for the movie Idainaru Shurara-bon, and is said to be a full-scale rap tune.

It has been announced that Arashi will release their new single, titled GUTS!, on April 30th. The song will be used as the theme tune for Ninomiya's new Drama Yowakutemo Kaemasu ~Aoshi Sensei to Heppoko Koukou Kyuji no Yabou which is to be broadcast on NTV from April 12th.

There will be a Regular and Limited edition version of the single available, with the Limited edition containing a different coupling track, 12 page lyric booklet and a DVD. The Regular edition will contain two new songs different from the Limited edition track list.

It has been revealed that Sexy Zone will release their newest single, titled King & Queen & Joker, on May 14th! This will be the groups 6th single overall, and will come in four versions; K Type, S Type, F Type, Regular edition and Venue Limited edition.

Aoi Wakana will release an official solo calendar for April 2014 until March 2015 with theme of her graduation as a junior high school student, who is ready to begin high school as a senior in April.

The Calendar is the size of a CD with 14 pages, and costs 2,000 yen.

I'm surprised that Wakana is releasing a solo photobook! However it's great news to hear that she was able to get a solo calendar, and that she will be releasing it for her fans. Hopefully many people can buy a copy and inhale the cuteness of it all!

The short music video for Tokyo Cheer2 Party's up-coming single Susume! Freshman has been revealed! The single is set for an April 9th release. Be sure to check it out for a refreshing sound!

I didn't anticipate putting this MV into the Digest, however the moment I heard it I couldn't help but like the sound. I haven't even watched the MV properly, I've just... listened. I mean, the sound isn't the best, but the raw energy in the vocals is enticing and just so blunt, it sounds incredible. Yeah, it sounds like none of them can hold a tune, but still... it's really endearing in a way, and it makes me like it. A lot.

... I like this song, to put it bluntly.

Admittedly, I'm not too keen on this release... it kind of feels like its trying too hard to be as great as Ueika!! was, when it just... well, it does not even compare to Ueika!!. I mean, it's cute and completely YuiKaori, but it feels too much like it is imitating the greatness of Hyadain's masterpiece that is Ueika!! as a song, and even imitating the video a bit by use of real life vs a fantasy sort of world.

... Still, it's rather cute! The CGI is just bad, though xD

On March 21st the band Shinsei Kamatte-chan revealed the teaser for their up-coming song Front memory, ultimately unveiling Niigaki Risa as the lead actress for the music video where she lip-syncs to the lyrics, so be sure to take a look!

The trainers are the least interesting thing about this video... Have you noticed hbow it is shot like a semi-professional music video!? So, thank the Lord and his Disciples, we have some diversity in the video other than a straight-up dance shot! NICELY DONE!!! I love how the focus is not solely (lol, sole...) on the trainers, either.
