A New Year is upon us, rather like Saorin is nearly on top of Maika... er, *ahem*

With 2014 coming to its close and 2015 happening in only so many hours, of course I only feel its right to once again return to my year-end bonanza that is my Predictions, Hopes, Dreams, Fears and much more for the on-coming storm that will surely be the year '15, and leave my last post of 2014 with what I think will happen in the on-coming New Year.

As per tradition here on the land of Okay! Musume Time, ever since 2011 in fact (old series is old!), I will be thinking about what I would like to happen, what I think will happen, and what I don't want to happen for 2015, whether it is Idol related or something to do with my personal life - whatever it may be, I write it here for all to see. The wishes/hopes/fears may be serious, some will be jokey, but no matter what, they are, for me, my own way of celebrating the New Year and the surprise it will surely bring us all.

So, without any further delay, let's get into the Predictions, Hopes, Dreams and Fears I have set for 2015, and run head-on into the New Year! It's not here just yet, but we're getting there, so to prepare myself, and maybe you guys as well, I have devised my own little thoughts of what could be into a list. I wonder, what will be on it?

2014: And So Goes By Another Year... ~2014 Year End Review: The Extended Edition~

With the year coming to an end, it just would not be right to end without a Year End Review for my blog, and with only a day or so until the New Year officially rings in, now would probably be the best time to bring forth the post that everyone has planned, written, re-written and then cried over many times to my own blog, except... I never drafted it, I never cried over it. I just wrote it, like I always do.

There's no planning like, er... no planning, right? But, that's the way it goes here on the O!MT Bus, and that's the way it always will be. I wouldn't have it any other way, to be hones with you all.

So as we get into the Year End Review for 2014, why not grab yourself a drink of something, maybe a few biccies (cookies) and pop on a relaxing, nostalgic song as we turn back the clock and work over the year we are leaving behind us, ready to jump into the New Year. Even though we are in our final days of 2014, please, sit with me and take a look back? I would really appreciate it...

With 2014 coming ever closer to its end, and the End of Year posts piling up here, I thought that it would be fun to add another list to the blog before 2014 well and truly shuts down, and what better than to do an Idol Ranking system for the year gone by?

For the end of 2014, this is my Idol Ranking! I wonder... just who made the cut?

The Worst of 2014 in Song (for J-POP) ~According to Chiima~

All thoughts and opinions regarding what I feel are the worst songs of the year going by are my own, and please, take them as they are; Opinions. This is not fact, merely what I feel towards songs I didn't care for, so don't take it as fact. If you enjoy them, then good - you can appreciate what I can't, and I want that. It's just that I don't like these, so we will leave it at that. Thank you.

In terms of music this year, I have to admit that I really was not disappointed - I liked a lot of what I heard, and whilst my own music taste isn't as fabulous as everyone else's, I found the music produced this year enjoyable and worth the listen.

That said, there were a few shitty tunes thrown in there, so of course I'm going to note them! There aren't many, but hey, they need some recognition, so here we go!

Ah, terrible songs, what would I do without you? Granted, there weren't a whole ton of songs I actually hated or found pretty bad this year, but the ones that I did... well, they're ones that I wish I could burn, or just delete from my internal memory. Still, despite how short this list will be, I'm glad that there weren't a lot of songs I disliked... imagine if I did a Top 30 Most Disliked Songs of 2014!? That would be crazy! My poor fingers...

So, even though the list is tiny as heck, we're going to look at the Songs of 2014 that I found to be the worst of the bunch. Why do I dislike these songs, what do I have against them, and which song will reign supreme in all of its shittyness?

This is my Tiny-Whiney Worst Songs of 2014 List, and I'm ready to gripe a bit! Are you ready to disagree with me? Let's GO!!!

The Grand Top 30 J-POP Songs of 2014 ~Okay! Musume Style~

Regarding the Top 30 Songs of 2014 List I have compiled, please be aware that this post only contains MY opinions, and mine alone. I don't expect you to think this is a great list, or a list that is correct in terms of popularity, sales, views, etc... because it isn't, it's just a list of songs I genuinely liked this year, or thought were superb. If you do not like the choices, that is fine, but this is my personal taste, so please respect that.

2014 is coming to an end and, wouldn't ya know it, 2015 is coming down on us like a hawk that found a mouse for dinner! Okay, where the fuck do I come up with these analogies? XD And guess what? Like last year, I am SO not prepared! I never am! Still, like always, I'll do everything last minute, but still have fun whilst rushing things, or tearing my hair out over a post because it's nearly 6am, and I still. Have. Not. Finished. o 3o I finished. I was just typing what I thought! XD So tired!

Okay, so, I don't know what I drank or ate or smoked to get myself to do a TOP 30 post, but it must have been something strong because, like an idiot, I thought it would be the wisest thing to do 10 extra songs rather than my typical 20, and also thought I would find it easy. HA! No. This was not easy, but being the idiot I am, I did it somehow, and even though I'm tired and a little cranky and a tad delirious from being tired, I am happy that I finally completed it! Ohoho, yes, Top 30 songs, here we come!

Seriously though, it was difficult to do because it's 30 damn songs (plus 5 Honorables), but I am satisfied, and I feel content and complete now that it is finished. Okay, so I didn't listen to as many groups as I wanted to this year in terms of different acts or projects, but what I did listen to... I enjoyed it. Immensely. Next year though, I want to listen to more acts, rather than sticking to certain ones. I like diversity, and I didn't have that as much this year as I did last year. So yeah, next year, hopefully more acts will be in here, rather than a huge chunk of a certain collective.

By the way, here's a fair warning: This is a long-ass post, so if you actually are going to read it, then grab a drink of some sort, some crisps or cakes or something, and sit down in a comfortable position, because this ain't a fairy dance in the woods - this is the real deal, this. Is. SPARTA!!!

Musings & Mutterings Episode 3 ~Here It Is~

Episode 3 of Musings & Mutterings is up, and honestly, I had no plan for this Podcast what-so-ever, so I just rambled. Because that's what I seem to be good at. Rambling, and making no sense! So, there we go~

That said, I still had fun talking about Christmas, blogging and the Up-Coming New Year here, and whilst I struggled with myself a bit for what to talk about (at around 8 minutes, I almost gave up, I was being so... well, none-talky. Ahh, editing, Y'ALL SAVED ME AND THE LISTENERS!) I managed to finish it up! It's not as long as I would have liked to have been, but what can I do?

Next week, I have a sort-of-plan, mostly to do with a film I hope to see, and my sister (and possibly nephew) making an appearance...

Anyway, I hope you all enjoy this episode! It's the last Podcast of this year, and whilst I have only just started this new project of mine, I do hope that 2015 sees it to the end of the year, and to becoming more solid as a podcast series. The Okay! Musume Time PV Awards of 2014

It's nearing the end of 2014, so you know what that means, right? It's the END OF THE YEAR POSTS, that's what! So, what better way to kick-start the End of Year Posts than a post all about my Top PV's of 2014, aye? Best. Idea. EVER!

Except, everyone else has already done one, so there is that. Still though, I wanted to wait until Chrimbo was over before doing this... The Year isn't nearing it's end until Christmas is out of the way, in my eyes! And given that Xmas is done and dusted, it's time for me to crack on with the posts I have not even prepared properly.

So, crack on we will! ON FORTH, SON, FOR WE SHALL REVIEW THE YEAR! Starting it all off... THE PV AWARDS OF 2014!

... Holy shit, I'm hyper o-o I suppose that's because it's nearly 5am, though... hrm...

Anyway, yes, this is the first of a few Year End lists for me, and whilst I have no specific order for any of these PV's, I do have two Top Categories that two PV's have won over the rest, though y'all will need to wait until the end of the post to see what Video has won my heart, and which one has won my distaste.

Now I would like to note that this year, my viewing of Idol videos was pretty... well, let's say it was sparse, because I was freaking out over a lot of things. I didn't have the time to care about Idols as much as I used to, and I wanted to focus on a lot of other things, so my life came first and Idols became something a lot less important to me, so a few videos went under the radar and I ignored many releases because I just couldn't find the time for it. So, if this post seems like it doesn't have much to it, that's because I've not viewed much.

Still, I find I have a decent list from what I have seen, and though I wish I had watched more this year, I am happy with what has been compiled from the videos that I have viewed. So, without further ado, I will get into my 2014 list of PV Awards for this year! Though it may seem mostly positive, I do have two PV's to throw a punch at here, so when you find them, have fun with the read, or hate me for my damned opinion! I don't mind, either way.

With that said, it's time to dive into the PV Awards of 2014, Okay! Musume Style. What will we find in my list of Awards today...?

Christmas is once again upon us! So to everyone who is a part of this big Okay! Musume Time Family, I want to wish you all a Happy Holiday, and Seasons Greetings!

Ahhh, so cute~ Well, Idols aside, have you all had a wonderful Christmas this year? In general, I hope you have had a wonderful day and a great year, but on this day of the year especially, I do wish it the most. Are you healthy and safe? Remember Stranger Danger, too! All that sort of stuff, I think about it, so of course I hope you're having a good time, no matter what, even if you don't celebrate Christmas!

Just have a wonderful day! That is all I want for you guys, really.

For my own Christmas, I've had a really pleasant day. My youngest niece is not that conscious of what Christmas is and or its meaning (or the commercialism behind it) yet, however this year she got into it a lot more than she did last time! She got a lot more gifts than last year as well; we're a big family, so we have a lot of people getting/giving her things on this day, however the same applied to my baby nephew... out of everyone though, my youngest niece really did get a lot in terms of toys and clothes, but she really liked them all and she had a good time today! For us, that really was enough, because we wanted to make this Christmas special for her.

We may have succeeded... SUCCESS!!!

And looked even cuter when she started to get dressed up in one of her favourite gifts! This kids a Disney Princess fiend.

Surprisingly, I got a few gifts that I didn't expect. The socks, I knew I would get them, I asked for them - I need socks - and the journal was something my sister bought for me (from my niece) whilst I was with her when she got it ! The rest, I didn't actually expect XD For me though, my favourite part of my gifts (aside from the awesome joke gift of a metal can opener - my dad did that, I liked that XD) was that I received a calligraphy set from my parents, and the journal from my sister/niece. It made me really happy! The writer in me is doing a jig right now, I swear, because it's so lovely to receive these sorts of things! Also, they're darned purty!

Really though, I'm just thankful for my family - the gifts are bonuses I never expected, at the end of the day, but I am happy to be here with my whole family (seriously, nearly everyone in my immediate kin was at the house today... of course, there was once again no room on the table...) and it was cosy and warm. This is why I love Christmas! It brings us together <3

In a way, this has actually been a rather relaxed Christmas, even though it was exciting for my niece and also the first Christmas for my youngest nephew to celebrate! Next year will probably be a bit more hectic, I think - one of my sisters has another baby on the way (Baby Brother to my current Baby Nephew) and I think my niece will be well aware of what Christmas entails, so it may be more chaotic than expected... still, it was nice this year, though surprisingly calm and peaceful (or as calm and peaceful as a house of 10+ can get).

In all, it was fun! ^^

It's Christmas tomorrow! In some countries, it may already be that time of the year, however for myself and many others, we have one more day to go! In just a nights sleep, we will be waking up to the sound of Christmas bells and Santa's Sleigh...

Tonight, this is where the real magic begins. For on the 24th of December we begin to prepare for a wondrous day, and the joy of Christmas truly comes to life. As the children sleep with Santa in their dreams and parents putting the presents under the tree, we can only think of the happiness that will come with tomorrow's awakening. And then, when all arise for the morning and what it brings, we will see smiles and hear beautiful songs, coming together on a joyful time of the year. This is the magic of Christmas, and it is the preparation that truly brings about that happiness.

So, to celebrate what winter brings us all, I wanted to look upon the beauty of the snow, one we may not see with our own human eyes...

When the bell rings out in the woods this winter, the snow drops will slowly awaken from a year long slumber to bring forth winter. Are you ready to look upon the true beauty that is the winters snow?

Christmas is nearing, Christmas is nearing! Can you hear those sleigh bells jingling? The sound of Santa-san's footsteps on the roof of your house, or the slight beating of the reindeer hooves as they gallop into the sky? What about the sounds of the Idols singing sweet Christmas tunes this year?

It's so nice hearing all of the beautiful sounds that remind me of winter and Christmas, but when it comes to songs at this time of the year, it is really hard to choose just one to like the most. That said, I am a tad greedy and enjoy many songs, however if I were to narrow it down... Well, I would compare them! Because comparing is the way forward, clearly!

And what better way to find a Christmas song I like better from a certain company, than to put them up against each other to see which one wins!? Actually, that's a great idea, because I really do like both songs! So let's try it, shall we?

Maybe it will be Mr.Snowman, or will it be a Star Shine Story? Hm, I wonder which one I will choose...?

Musing & Mutterings: Episode 2 and Away!

My second episode of my Podcast is now up, and this week the focus is more on writing than anything, though I also talk about my first week back home from University and some Idol stuff as well, however writing is the main focus this week, as I wanted to talk about strongly for this podcast. I talk about the forms I write in, writing about Idols and what inspired me to start writing for the first time ever. Yeah. WRITING!

I think I became more confident in this Podcast, that said, it could be because I'm really tired (have not slept since yesterday, basically, because I couldn't sleep in my boiler of a bedroom!) and typically when tired, I am hyperactive.

Once again, I just talk and mutter and ramble here! YAY!

I think I have somewhat improved on flow, however I think that is to do with my environment more than anything; I'm back home where I am comfortable and also familiar, so of course I would probably break out of my shell more. Christmas is a sentimental time of year. For many it can bring forth happiness, sadness and nostalgia. For myself, Christmas reminds me of happy times with my family, where we all sit around a table and talk, tell really bad Christmas cracker jokes and also where we have fun and sing Christmas songs, or just plain old annoy each other! Either way, it's a fun time of the year for me in both memory and in the present, so each year I look forward to Christmas.

No matter what, it brings my family together, and that is the time where we all seem to be happiest; because we've come together and we know we all appreciate who we are, and where we come from. For that I am thankful.

So for the season of sentimentality, I thought that there would be an appropriate-sounding song to go with the tender side of the winter season, one that was less energetic and more... peaceful in its composition. For this time of the year, please Stay with me...

Christmas is the time of year where we can dress real cute. Well, we can actually dress really cute all year round, but when it comes to the Winter season we can become these fluffy bundles of cuddles that are warm, cosy and adorable to look at! Sure, it's a pain in the arse to layer up because of the cold, but we look downright adorable doing so! Think of all those fluffy hats, the stylish coats and pretty scarfs... ahhh, the Winter time is truly a year of fashion and fluffiness!

Still, when we do it wrong, we look like divs who have no clue how much fluff they're putting on, but who really cares? WINTER FLUFFINESS, it's so good! And what better way to celebrate the true cuteness of winter clothing than SKE48?

So finally, after many many months of speculation and waiting, S/mileage have officially changed their name to ANGERME. According to various sources the meaning behind the name is actually 'Angels Tears' in French (ange + larme), and when put together we have ANGERME.

Except, it looks more like ANGER ME!!!! than it does Angel Tears, and honestly, it looks really ugly as a name. It's not sweet or girly, or elegant and gentle like the name Angel/Ange suggests. It just sounds and looks... well, gross. It really doesn't suit the image the image of S/mileage, not unless they suddenly became a heavy metal band or something...

and, given that they are apparently releasing a song titled 'Revenge of the Maiden', maybe they are going heavy metal!? That'd be cool, though a good chunk of the members wouldn't suit that style of tune... still, though. It would work with the new group name, at least!

But yeah, that name isn't attractive and honestly, I will forever think of it as an angry notion to being angry rather than a group name, I believe. That said, the way the title is styled is totally different; it reminds me of Final Fantasy in how it looks! Actually no matter what the name is with that style of writing and the tiny wing logo, it looks pretty appealing in its own way, but only because of the font and how professional it looks. Still, the actual name itself, that's gross beyond compare.

By the way, according to reports the name was suggested by Gorilla-chan, our dear Nakanishi Kana. Girl, I am disappointed XD

Honestly, I can't get over how... well, how overly bad this is! I'm either laughing at it or lamenting the name change. No matter what though, this is quite possibly the worst decision of 2014 in terms of all decisions made, and honestly, I thought the decision to shuffle some random NG46 members into AKB and vice versa was a shitty decision!

Nope, H!P somehow topped that. Way to go, Hello! Pro. You dun fucked up good this time!

No matter how much you try to convince me of the meaning behind the name, I will find it ugly as fuck no matter what, for however long I feel is necessary to me. Why? Because we went from such a cute, meaningful name to something that looks and sounds ugly when written or spoken (because I will say it as it looks; ANGER ME!!!!!) so of course, I'm going to lament and whine about it. Honestly, I doubt I'll ever get used to the name, because to me this group is S/mileage no matter what.

I'm not happy with this decision, obviously, but at some point or other I will have to suck it all up and accept what has happened; that S/mileage are, literally, no more and ANGERME has officialy replaced them. No matter how much I bitch and whine, and no matter how stupid I think Hello! Project are for actually agreeing to such a god-awful name, this is what has happened and this is how we will have to view S/mileage from here on out: as ANGERME, the angriest form Angel Tears I will ever know.

Once they were S/mileage, and now they are ANGERME, the grossest name in history. Goodbye to a good name, hello to a disgusting one. Sayonara, S/mileage. Y'all be no more!

Christmas! It's a time that is not just for family and friends, but also romance! I wonder if romance will bloom for anyone over this beautiful Christmas period? If it does, then I hope that snow will fall on their beautiful date and create the perfect atmosphere, in all of its cliched glory... ahhh, if only...

That said, we don't always need to have cliche's at Christmas when it comes to romance, do we? But I suppose the cliche's in the season of spirit are what makes it so... so magical and lovable in a way. It can also make it cutesy and sickening, somewhat unbearable I suppose, but when used correctly it can make the romance of Christmas feel very warming and sweet! Still, cliche's can be annoying regardless! So, let's review a PV of cliche's and cuteness!

[12 Days of Idols] A Winter Date's Symphony - Sunmyu's 'Hatsuyuki no Symphony' PV Review

What's your favourite thing about the Winter season? For me it's the lights, the cheer and the fact that even when it's dark and cold, we somehow manage to banish away the Winter blues by lighting up the world and singing happy songs whilst spending the days of winter with the ones we love! This time of the year fills me with happiness, especially when I see my family enjoying it as well!

Another part of the season that makes me happy is listening to and watching the music and PV's provided by Idols filled with Christmas cheer and love, each one different to the other but always something to look forward to! So with that in mind, let's take a look at the next installment in the [12 Days of Idols] series as our Idols embark on a Winter date with a gift wrapped up in love and warmth! Musings & Mutterings: Oh Look, Episode 1!

Due to over-excitement at the idea of creating my very own podcast as well as the positive reaction it garnered, I decided to record the very first episode! It is about 15 minutes long, give or take 30 or so seconds, and I talk a little about going home for the holidays after the end of my first term in University, the positive feedback on creating the podcast from readers and also a bit about Idols and also why I stopped my Digest.

Basically, I just talk, as I said I would. I am making progress!

I'm still at a stage where I can't make my words flow properly, however this is just the first step for me, so eventually I will get better at this. I had fun recording it, even if the first few minutes were in total silence before I edited it to make it look like I was prepared. Honestly, this is scarier than I thought it would be, but I am enjoying it so far. Hopefully you guys will enjoy my rambles as well!

I aim to update every time I upload a podcast, and if not, I should have updated the newest tab added to my blog beneath the banner! If not, then simply check the website link that should be there; I want to try and do this regularly, at least once every week or bi-weekly if I'm busy, because talking is a lot easier than writing or creating a video and it will allow me to keep you updated on different things I believe.
 That, and it will be fun to do a series again!

Musings & Mutterings - Basically, I am starting a Podcast

This is going to be a quick post, so if it seems rushed, it's because it is rushed. Apologies!

In random News, though this isn't that random for myself, I have created a Podcast. As in, I have an introductory Podcast right now. Following episodes should ensue.

Okay, so here's the story for this; I've been pondering about whether or not I have wanted to do a podcast for near on 2 years now, probably around the time before the Digest came about, and very recently I realised my desire to do this was stronger than ever; this is because I want to do something in place of my videos, and also because I like talking.

I also want this podcast to try and motivate me to bringing my Digest back, as I want to briefly touch on news and such in this in the Idol world... However, I do not want this to be completely about Idols, I want it to be diverse. So, I will be talking about other things such as film, my life in general, comments, my thoughts and such, and also this blog and Idols, of course.

You never know, I may just give mini reviews in the podcasts! Who knows?

Anyway, the first episode is simply an introduction to Musings & Mutterings, which is the name of the podcast. Why Musings & Mutterings? Well, as I explain in the small introduction itself, I wanted a name different and more distinct to Okay! Musume Time, so I didn't want Okay! Musume Podcast or Okay! Podcast Time, two names which I did want to call it... no, because I want it to be about Idols and other things away from Idols, I wanted it to have a nicer name, or at least one that was different. So, I thought musings would be good, as I do that a lot, and Mutterings, because I mutter like nobody knows! So, there we have it. My title for my new podcast.

Sadly the embed thing isn't working on the site for this blog, so I will instead post a link to my Podcast site, and if you do listen to my ramblings and mutterings, I hope you enjoy!
