A Look at Johnny's Entertainment Groups: The 3 Day Challenge - Day 2

Opinions, opinions, they fly around everywhere... but mine are here mostly, so stay for some opinionated tea!

Day/Night: 2

Last night I came to this conclusion: Even if the 3 Day challenge to watch a few JEnt groups fails to totally convert me into a fangirlish squeal over these guys, I have the feeling that I would have changed my mind enough to at least watch their PV's and review them when a new one pops up on the ever so wonderful Tokyohive. Already I like what I hear, but just having music that I like does not mean that I am fully converted (yet). I guess I'm still rooted straight to my Idol girls that I adore so darned much, but in a way... I know that I've let myself open my mind to boy groups enough to be able to really enjoy them, something which I quite obviously did not do as a child.

And so, continuing from yesterday, and ignoring the work that I need to hand in to my tutor tomorrow, I will return to the land of the boy bands. Yes, I had a half hour's worth of girlish pleasure thanks to Morning Musume (the sound of Kusumi is quite soothing after a long days, er... 'work') and Houkago Princess (not dead yet for me), so now I will actually kick back, relax, and try to convert myself a little more...

Solo Songs

So starting this post off, my dear friend Phob sent me two solo songs from ex-KAT-TUN member, Akanishi Jin, and fresh-off-the-Papers ex-NEWS member Yamapi. So, because I am actually trying to branch out to male Idols in general, I guess solo's are a part of the package too, considering they are/were (dunno) JEnt members. So, let's go~

Song 1: Tomohisa Yamashita: Hadakanbo

Straight into the song, and I notice the suit: Sparkly, wonderful and oh-so-camp... yet Yamapi rocks it! I didn't even giggle when I first saw it. I just stared at Yamapi's absolute hotness, because seriously, if he can pull off that spangly suit whilst still maintaining serious masculinity, I... well, I'm just speechless. Is it so wrong that I want to rip that suit off of him and devour his living being?

nashdjbsjhdbajhb!!! No wonder! He's hot! And the faces he pulls are pretty, well, sexy. Thank goodness for his gorgeous face, because without that, I would have really disliked the video. The song itself is a rather boring affair, but Yamapi creates such a gorgeous performance, despite being clad in a (rather camp) sparkly suit that glitters with every light that he comes across. I'm also not a fan of the setting - I forget what era the setting looks like, but it reminds me like one of those theatres that rich, snooty people went to back in the day... I don't know...

I'm reminded of Bugsy Malone for some reason...

Anyway, the song is not very tasteful, to me, but Yamapi's performance really won me over. He's gorgeous, and it kept me going along with the video. Yamapi is so hot!

Song 2: Akanishi Jin: Eternal

I was sent this video for the pure fact that Akanishi Jin is my friend Phob's second favourite Japanese singer, just behind Gackt a little (there's a road I might be forced to go down...) and just before Kame. And I can see 9and hear) why she likes him. Jin is a hunk full of gorgeousness and his voice is absolutely beautiful - probably one of the most beautiful voices I have heard. Probably better than... nah, I can't think of anyone. He's beaten them all with a stick already.

Regarding the video itself, I really do like it. As you all must know by now, I love simple videos (some more than others, mind), as long as the singer or band know how to portray themselves in these videos. They really do need to sell me on emotion and how they act, and lord does Jin know how to sell it. His expressions are enough to hook you, to make you want to hug him and take away that pain, to cry with him and to throw a flying kick at the bitch who did this to him, who made him feel pain.

I think that the song is so beautiful, though it doesn't strike me in a way like Utada Hikaru's First Love does, but it still makes me want to hug the guy and to kiss him... his lips look rather delicious in this video...

Damn you, Phob.

The Groups

Back to the groups now. I have actually taken to looking for the other songs by myself right now, however Phob has kindly directed me towards the path that is NEWS, so let's see how I deal with them.

Song 3: NEWS: Koi no Abo

Straight in and the song is not to my tastes. I am not a fan of this song already, and I want to close the window down so that I can look for some Hey! Say! Jump! and spout rainbows and sparkles as I giggle of them and squee a little. But, I won't. Because I have to challenge myself, and even though about half of the group aren't really that cute, I will put up with the rest of the song and the video.

Now, let's get to the video - I don't like it, however the dancing is really funny in this one, and I smirked at it. It's actually quite cute, the way they bob their heads, when you think about it, but the rest of it (other than the sunglasses guy looking downright fiiine EDIT found out he's Yamapi, no wonder) is pretty boring and nothing to my tastes. It's dark, and there isn't enough going on to keep me entertained. I was pretty bored whilst watching the video, and unlike Yamapi's gorgeous influence that won me over in Hadakanbo, there was nothing to grasp my heart and to tickle me pink in this video.

NEWS, you failed!

Song 4: Arashi: Dear Snow

I said that I would come back to Arashi, and I have. The song that Ray of International Wota sent me didn't really tickle my fancy in any way, other than the fact that the video was a cute and camp affair that made me giggle, the song did me no justice. But, I do have some faith in Arashi to make me like them a little more, considering I used to watch Hana Yori Dango, which features a song of theirs if I am not mistaken. So, back again, I see~ Let's see what Dear Snow has in store for me tonight.

... I'm playing it for a second time. That's how much I like this song. Heck, I might even find the MP3 on youtube and favourite it. This song is really beautiful, and when I listen to it I feel a twinge of something in my chest, and that only ever happens to me when I find a song that really strikes me as an emotionally beautiful, well thought out song that gets to me.

Arashi got to me. They really did.

I think that the PV plays a huge part in this too, though. The video is so simple, but so beautifully edited. Through their eyes and through the emotions they portray on their faces, you really feel something deep down and you can see that they mean it. The lyrics, oh I wish I could know what they meant. The deepness in their faces just mesmerises and captures me, and it makes me really like Arashi because of this. Anyone who can portray such emotion and ache in their features are truly talented artists.

This song is going to be a favourite of mine, it seriously is. I absolutely adore it! The vocals are beautiful and perfect, the guys won me over with their expressions, and they created a really great performance. They sound amazing together, and it doesn't sound like it's been auto-tuned or messed around with. It's so... airy, natural, beautiful.

I love this song. I looooove it!

Ima loop it again.

Song 5: Arashi: Love So Sweet

OH wait, of course... I'm still doing my challenge. That means that I'm going to have to pause the song for a while now, and listen to something else.

Something else by Arashi.

Though Love so Sweet isn't as appealing as Dear Snow tune wise, the video is visually appealing and quite cute. It has this adorable sillyness to it that really appeals to the inner child in me, and it makes me giggle quite a bit. I like the graphics used for some scenes, as well as the scenes where the guys are portrayed as puppets in a display window, coming to life only to react to certain things that happen outside of the window or inside. Their expressions are humorous as well as charming. It's definitely the PV that won me over, because of how fun and creative it is. It's not something that I would expect, honestly.

As for the song, I do enjoy it a little, but it isn't going to be my immediate favourite. It's calming, yes, and I find that the PV really livened it up in a way, but I do prefer other songs (Dear Snow) over Love so Sweet.

Just saying.

Song 6: Hey!Say! JUMP!: Dreams Come True

Returning to yesterdays favourite, I have decided to go for an older song by Hey!Say!JUMP! to see if, even back when they were babies, they could entertain me.

In a way they did, but then again they didn't.

I see the same amount of charm in the group as I did when I watched their latest single, Magic Power, but they're far younger here, and I am far more inclined to go all gaga over their cuteness rather than fawn over their maturity and the absolute hotness that Yamada Ryosuke right now. But, despite that I still enjoy the song, and the video in fact, though I don't enjoy it quite as much as I did when listening to the absolute wonder that is Magic Power. The kids are cute, but in all honesty, I prefer the eye candy that Hey!Say!JUMP! has become now.

But the kids still entertain me~

Song 7: Tegomass: Mahou no Melody

Once again, Phob is the one who directed me to this group: Meet Tegomass, a duo within the JEnt family, and quite a cute duo, might I add. When I first started the PV, the shallow, hidden fangirl-boy-lover inside of me went straight for the charming beauty that belongs to Yuya Tegoshi, or Tego, as Phob called him. But, after I really got into the video... well, his rather gay and girlish charms whipped me away towards the rather cute and chubby-cheeked Masuda. But actually, I like them both, so I will lock them both away in my non-existent basement.

Regarding the PV, I have to point out that I think they raided Willy Wonka's wardrobe for their outfits when they sing, because they are not attractive outfits. I want to burn them! But they make up for the horrendous costumes by forcing  Tego into overalls that really do suit him, so thank you evil people who love me and the rest of the Wotaverse!

Before I derail and try to write a review on the entire PV, I will stop myself by saying: Lord, Tego, you really do look like you are fucking the camera. Those looks you give as you sing, it's like 'Yeah, you like that... don't you? Uh huh, I know you do, want more? I will give you MORE'. Seriously, I think I just died because of that.

Tego may be camp with how he moves, but LORD, he knows how to work that camera!

Regarding the song... I do like it, I think that the song is pretty good. Not my favourite of all fangirling-times, but I wouldn't totally disregard it. The vocals are lovely, the guys are great singers, and I think that if I listened to the song more, then I would start to like it more. However, it is the PV that won me over for this group - the insane cuteness of it (to me) is what made me like the group... and the fact that Tego eye-fucked that camera blind!

Phob, Ima kill you for getting me into this one XD

So, I am going to officially end Day 2 here with these songs. These are actually the only 7 I listened to from boy bands today, and I'm surprised by the amount I liked - especially Arashi. I actually didn't think that Arashi would grasp me like they did with their song Dear Snow, but they did, and I am really glad that it has made me like them more. I have enjoyed listening to all of these songs (Okay, not all of them, but you get the idea) and seeing what makes me like the group. Sometimes it's the video, other times the song, or in the case of Dear Snow, both.

I'm still at my learning curve, but I want to continue to branch out with Jpop and have a broader horizon to search. Hello! Project can only go so far, as I have recently realised since I began to listen to different groups outside of the UFA fun house (or torture house, your pick).

Anyway, that is it for today's post, but it seems that tomorrow I will have a wide bunch of JEnt songs to pick from, because, after reading my e-mails, I found a comment after writing all this out, and it lists a great deal of songs from a fan of JEnt, so I will be sure to have a good look at them tomorrow when I come home and ignore the work I have to finish. I really do appreciate the comment, and it just gives me more to look at and to enjoy, and to see what interests me from these boy bands.

So, look forward to a (hopefully) longer post tomorrow with a few more songs from some of the boy bands I have already picked through, and if I get around to it, a few new ones.

Tomorrow is the last day, so I will try and be as thorough as I can with these overviews of their bodies songs and PVs.

Today's winner, quite obviously, is Arashi. Go BOW DOWN TO THEM NOW!

For the Arashi love, blame Ray from International Wota. You know it's his fault! XD

I had to... I'm sorry, I just had to!

Oh, and this is for you, Phob! <3

Have a nice day, lovelies! <3

Chiima~

A Look at Johnny's Entertainment Groups: The 3 Day Challenge - Day 1

All opinions are my own, as you know, so if you don't like my opinion, then that is your opinion~

Day/Night: 1

Okay, so as you already know from my post on Heart2Heart's debut song 'Facebook Official', I am not a boy band fan. When I was younger, I listened to some Westlife and Boyzone, but that was pretty much as far as I got. I was a Britney Spears fan, I worshipped the ground that S Club 7 walked on, and I loved the Spice Girls. I never really cared for a group where the male was excessively dominant, which is probably why I am so in love with girl groups even today.

But, per request of the fun and charming Ray from International Wota, I have decided that I will "dabble" in the likes of... oh lord... Boy Bands. Japanese Boy Bands, to be exact, because suddenly delving into Kpop boy bands would be far too fast for me in general, seeing as I am still not overly keen on Kpop (I like SNSD, but not to the point where I religiously listen to them like I do with Morning Musume or C-ute) itself. Then again, I am a rather reserved individual when it comes to music still. I have never been vastly interested it until recently, so I'm a newb when it comes to these things, so you must bear with me on this.

So I have decided that, for 3 days, I will challenge myself to listen to a few different groups from Johnny's Entertainment in order to try and open up my mind more towards male groups, and to see how much they can win me over as well as to see how much my general view of boy bands changes.

In order to start this post off, I will explain why I don't like boy bands, or at least why I think I don't like them. So here we go:

I think that when Boy Bands were big in the 1990's onwards, I was far too young to be too influenced by them: Boy Bands were there for girls to idolise and scream over, more so, teenage girls. I was a kid back then, considering I am a 90's baby/kid, and not a teenager, thus not being influenced by the boyish charm that the girls fawned over. At that time in my life, I was more interested in Mario and Pokemon thanks to having two older brothers and a gamer sister, so music wasn't really that important to me. I only really listened to Britney Spears and, most likely, Ronan Keeting, who's songs helped me sleep at night when I had nightmares or when I didn't know what else to do. That was pretty much my musical knowledge as a child, though I liked S Club 7 a great deal as well during that time in my life.
But when I became a teenager boy bands had suddenly died out, and girl groups like Girls Aloud were big and the new thing to go after. I actually didn't really care for Girls Aloud, but I liked them. I just stopped caring about music all together, until 2009 when I found Koharu Kusumi - and that's when the fandom started.

Sadly, this was also the same time when Boy Bands started to make a move onto the scene again; the thing is, I was older than some of the newer boy bands (One Direction, yuck) that came about, or I was far too influenced by girl groups to even care about them any more. I have a feeling that if I had been a teenager back in the 90's, I would be singing a totally different tune right now, but I'm not. I'm singing the Jpop tune, and thanks to Jpop, I don't like English pop any more.

No idea why, but even my nephew, who hates Japanese music, agrees that English music sucks now. So I have a little ally on my side.

So, that's why I think I don't like boy bands - I was young enough to be influenced by it, BUT I was also too young to be taken in by good looking, topless men dancing around and singing about how much they love me, or her, or maybe him. I wasn't at all taken in by it, or influenced, and so I didn't care, which is probably why I don't care today. Or maybe I'm just broken, I dunno.

Anyway, to start me off on my new journey into Boy Band Heaven, Ray kindly sent me three links, two of which are for different Johnny's Entertainment boy bands, and another is a solo song which is quite humorous to watch video wise. This is pretty much starting off easy, I guess, because all of these videos are light hearted and fun in terms of how the video goes, much like the pastiche that is Heart2Heart's 'Facebook Official', which I did enjoy, despite the extreme cheeseyness that it has throughout the entire video. So I think that it was really sweet of Ray to try and find some rather humorous videos that would make me giggle and might just tickle my fancy.

Song 1: Arashi: Kitto Daijoubu

The first link was to a song by the group Arashi, and it is Kitto Daijoubu, and when the first scene opened my immediate reaction was 'What the fuck?'. I guess the rainbow kind of astounded me in a way, but I didn't know what to think about the video. In fact, the first time I saw it I clicked the x button and left it before deciding that I would have to watch it if I really did want to broaden my horizons, and so I finished it.

The video is definitely playful, and I laughed a few times because of the cute playful tone that the video showed me, however the song was the main problem - it didn't interest me at all, and bored me a little. It was the song that killed it for me, sadly, but the video was wonderfully camp and funny, and makes me want to see what other videos Arashi has to offer. That, and the one who was in Hana Yori Dango has suddenly peaked my interest.

Song 2: Kanjani8: Wahaha

Kanjani8's song 'Wahaha' was the second pick from Ray, and I have to admit both the song and the video have proven to be really fun and interesting. The music video is extremely random and funny, and really intrigues me. I'm amazed that these guys are willing to pull faces, to look stupid and make fun of themselves in a video. It's really admirable, but it makes the video so much more interesting to watch, and it makes me like the group because of the risk they took in making themselves look a little stupid and clumsy.  The bad point?

They're not really... that good looking to me Dx I have no idea why! But in the video, the bleach Blonde looked HOT! Which one is he?

Song 3: Shigeaki Kato: Shalala Tambourine

The last of Ray's picks, which probably the cutest one out of them all, and undeniably, the best. This song turns the notch up when it comes to absolute playfulness and fun, and I loved every moment of it. The cheeseyness and plyful nature of both the video and the song just makes me really happy and hyper in a way, and it makes me want to bang my head along to it and para para away. The comic book styled writing that appears is cheesey enough for the video, but we get more and more with the fake-nosed man, a cross-dressing school girl and punks going to karaoke. The fun is pretty much never ending for this guy, and I really did enjoy every moment of this video. It is fun and a good giggle. I feel crazy just listening to it, actually! XD

Oh, and plus, Shigeaki Koto is really adorable! I want one! BUY ME ONE NOW!!!!

Song 4: Hey! Say! Jump!: Magic Power

Surprisingly, I searched for this one by myself. I remembered that one of my friends liked this group, and so I decided to see what they were like, and when I looked up the name in the youtube search bar, this was the first song that popped up. Magic Power, I believe, is their latest single.

The video = BEATLES THROWBACK! Or Abba... both of them wore glitter, flares and campy costumes, right? The music reminds me of the Beatles too, actually. Dunno why.

The video is seriously quirky, and I was instantly reminded of the Arashi video I had previously watched. They are both so camp, so enjoyable, and so colourful. I really really like it! Lord, I don't want to, but I do! And Oh my god, this song! Magic Power is gonna be a new crack addiction, I swear! The song is crazy catchy, and the front guy, the one in red - Fuck. YES. PLEASE! He rocks one of the worst costumes ever, seriously. Camp makes him look so good! Fuck, you turned me guy in red, I love you.

Damned song. Makes me so damned happy! How dare it turn my opinions so freakin' quickly!

PS all of them are pretty cute, especially my new bitch, Yamada Ryosuke. Fuck, I wanna hug him and steal him!

Song 5: Kat-Tun: Yorokobi no Uta

Don't they look a little too delicious?

... Okay, so the next, and also the final, song for tonight is a Kat-Tun one, and this was sent to me via a friend of mine, Phob. She was more than happy to drag me into her world of absolute love for this boy band. Seriously, the amount of times she's talked about them is crazy... Okay, I'm derailing a little here.

Anyway, she also sent me two other songs, but I actually really didn't like them, and one of them was by Kat-Tun. This was her second attempt at getting me to like them, and honestly...

I really like this song. This is actually my favourite song out of all of the songs I have listened to today, surprisingly. And I have barely watched the PV to it, so yeah... I like the song enough to want to listen to it without having to force myself to watch the video to it. Actually... this song has been on about 6 times already, so I've been looping the damned thing!

I've decided I have watched enough of the video to know that they are all gorgeous, and that I want at least one of them. But I love the song so much, I don't care about the video - it's actually too dark for my liking, one of the reasons why I don't really watch Nanchatte Renai by Morning Musume much. I hate Dark PV's, give me rainbows and Beatles styled costumes any day.

PS Love the raps in the song, I dunno why, but Raps always strike a chord in my heart... despite the fact that my most hated song is a rap (Salt5's Get Up Rapper, to be exact), however this song is just really... awesome, and I really like it.

SO, this is the beginning of me stepping out into the Jpop world a little more and taking on boy bands. Tomorrow, I will try to explore Arashi songs a bit more, because in all honesty Kitto Daijoubu did nothing for me, other than the video being really cute and playful, and it was disappointing in a way. So, whilst I try and explore Arashi a bit more, I will also look through other JEnt. boy bands that might tickle my fancy, and who knows, I might find that I like them more than I thought I ever would.

So, any suggestions? Songs or JEnt. bands welcome~ As long as it isn't Kpop, I need to try and get myself into that one slowly (though Rainie Yang and Show Lou can help me along with that, despite being Taiwanese singers)

... is this going to be a long 3 days? Well, if I like the rest of them as much as I enjoyed the Kat-Tun video and Hey! Say! Jump like I did tonight, you might find me a converted fan by tomorrow... I guess :<

Oh, and meet Show Lou - he's my freakin' GOD!!!!! Lord, he's SEXY <3

Personal preferences <3

Kpop gets Americanised - Heart2Hearts 'Facebook Official'

Why am I even bothering posting this? Well... the Wotasphere has blown up because of it, and I wanna know why! SO HELLO POST!

I'm not a Kpop or Jpop boy band fangirl, just so you know. That is why I only ever talk about girl groups. I obviously prefer boobs over penis' when it comes to music, because the only boy bands I have ever liked were from when I was a kid. To be honest, Boy bands do nothing for me now like they did when I was a child: Stupid, naive and questioning why the hell the sun came up.

So rest assured, dear readers, that when I give my opinion, I won't be totally basing it off of other boy bands PVs... because I don't want watch them. I avoid them like the plague.

I dunno why I dislike boy bands so much, honestly... I just don't know... (maybe it's because most boy bands are actually made of, well, boys now. Y'know, like Wand Erection One Direction?)

So now that I have said that, you've got a pretty good idea of how this post might go regarding the new American Boy band Heart2Heart who are heavily influenced by Kpop boy bands. Hoo boy, they have caused a commotion, and have a rather unsurprising amount of dislikes over likes. Mwahahaha, you speak, Wotaverse.

So, what does this apparent 'monstrosity' have in store for us? And I don't say monstrosity because I hate the video, I'm just attempting to reflect what the Kpop boy band lovers are feeling right now. Oh, anguish~ You have returned to lighten up my life.

Well, let's have a looksy at this video, shall we?

Oh gawd, I don't like it already

Okay, this guys kinda cute... in a prepubescent Justin Bieber kind of cute...

Oh wait, spoke to soon.

OMFG YOU LOOK LIKE SHOW LOU! nsnskdnsknfksnkfdn LOVE <3 (yes, I do have interests outside of Jpop, mostly Rainie Yang and Show Lou)

... sigh... there is always one less attractive one...

He's still kinda cute though, his goofy face is adorable <3

I agree that the rooms too bright, cool-hair guy.

DAMN that's one nice car

Blatant Product Placement

Dude this dance is fun

Oh lordy... Baby Face has a nice body!

Sunglasses without the sunnies :o

Just couldn't resist

asbjbxdjsw FUCK I LOVE YOU <3

Centre for my favey, centre for my baby <3

FUCK YES! That smile is pure WIN <3

Do. Not. WANT! Gimme my baby back!

Put a he-heart on your page, a heart on your page~

Wait it ended?

I bet you're thinking '... Chiima's crazily positive about this group, isn't she?' and I guess you'd be half right, because I'm actually not a fan of the group at all - I just really like the one who looks like Show Lou (at least, he looks like him to me) because he's so adorkable <3

Anyway, when I first watched this video I never even made it to the end - I was just like 'Wtf is this shit? Why the hell am I even watching it, fuck it, I need ice cream' and clicked the exit button. But hell, I keep coming back it seems. The song, though a blatant Facebook advertisement, is really catchy, and the boys are danged cute - no wonder boy bands are becoming popular again - it's all these cutesy prepubescent teenagers getting into the groups. I ain't kidding, two of these boys are younger than me by 1-2 years, whilst two are older and the other is my age. I was actually surprised when I found out that my baby (whom I know as KX) is actually my age, by one freakin' MONTH!

Dude, I love you KX. Marry me?

But I am more so surprised to find that the lovely goofball (Nico) is actually the youngest at 17, whilst blonde-haired shirtless boy is only 18. The other two are 23 and 21. I'm not reeling off names now.

Anyway, regarding the song, it's fine - not my type of tune, but incredibly catchy and nice to listen to, for English music (I HATE English music btw, unless it's the older stuff/Bruno Mars). The video itself is... okay, I guess. Kinda readable, overly white in some parts, with a good choreography that is, truthfully, quite Kpop-ish. I have watched some Kpop boy band videos, and from what I am attempting to remember, Heart2Heart actually captured how to portray themselves well.

But it's incredibly cheesey. However, cheesey is good... in small doses.

I'm also amazed by the amount of comments that are coming in for this group that give scenes from other videos that are similar to theirs. Dedicated, scary and loving Wota. God I love you all.

You know what? Fuck it. I like this group. It's been a while since I branched out towards a new band. The last time I reached for a new girl group was... er... I dunno, Girls Aloud, and then they broke up. Again, me and boy bands don't mix. Uh uh. But I'll see how Heart2Heart tickle my tummy. If they make me happy, then yeah, I'll continue to like em.

Let's hope that they don't die out as fast as Beckii Cruel and her British debut. OOOH BURN!

How many of you actually hate this? Cos seriously, I don't mind it!

Now I'm going to go listen to some Backstreet boys or something boy bandy from my youth...

Chiima~

Psst: I have no idea why everyone is freaking out about this guy. It's happened before, where an apparent 'joke' tries to move in on the Asian scene. Take Beckii Cruel for example; a Japanese pop Idol for a little while, but it made her a name in her country none the less. Just because she burned out doesn't mean that these guys will. Anyway, I derailed. There are always going to be parody groups, no matter what we do. Some of us are just open-minded enough to laugh at it and think 'OMG THIS IS GREAT!' because it really is - can't you see that these guys are making an effort and showing their dedication and their fanboy love towards Kpop? Cos they are fanboys. I really think they are.

I wouldn't be surprised if they were Wota, actually.

Anyway, that's my piece. Heart on your page, lovelies <3 Heart on your PAGE <3

Okay! Musume Time: ~4th Poll Winner~

We're at the 4th poll, and the first poll winner of this month, so I'm really happy! I'm actually late with posting who's won because I've been playing an MMORPG for a while, neglecting both my blog and my homework. That's not good, considering if I don't do my homework, I can get kicked out of college XD But whatever, I'm more focused on the blog right now~

Anyway, it has been about a week since the 10th Generation joined Morning Musume, and favourites have quickly been established in the Wotasphere! So, who's the overall winner dominating Okay! Musume Time's poll this week?

Congratulations, Kudou Haruka! Out of 40 votes (I AM SO DAMNED HAPPY, THANK YOU!), 19 went on you and made you the winner of this poll! You are the fan favourite for the new 10th Gen, so continue to smile brightly and show us your power as a new Morning Musume member!

Coming close in second place is the cute and tasty Iikubo Haruna, who has captured the hearts of the fans with 14 votes, whilst in 3rd place we have the Predatory Ishida Ayumi, who took home 8 votes to dance away to, and last but certainly not least, the cute and awkwardly charming Satou Masaki, who took away 5 votes along with your hearts.

So, those are this weeks results! Thank you everyone who participated in this poll! It makes me really happy, because I realise that quite a few of you do read this blog, something which I never thought would happen, so thank you very much!

The next poll that will take place will be: Who is your favourite leader in Hello! Project? This is to celebrate Niigaki Risa's sudden leadership, so please participate in this poll and pick your favourite! You may select multiple answers once again, so if you have more than one favourite, please choose as many as you like <3

So thank you once again everyone, and have a wonderful day!

Rip out your Heart and feed it to The Ebichu Zombies - Ebichu's 'Oh My Ghost?'

All opinions towards the group and this song/PV are my own. I am entitled to my opinion, and if you don't like it, then obviously... that's your view point, not mine! :)

If you haven't heard of Shiritsu Ebisu Chuugaku, then quite obviously we have been living under the same rock, because I didn't hear of them until a little while ago... like, a month or two ago to be exact.

To break it down for you, Shiritsu Ebisu Chuukagu (let's call them by their shortened name, Ebichu) are Momoiro Clover Z's little sister group, but when I first heard a song of theirs I didn't know that they were any way related to MomoClo, other than the fact that I immediately realised they sounded just like MomoClo, looked like them and had the same sort of crazy, cute and over the top videos like MomoClo. I then found out that they were under the same entertainment agency, and I was like 'No Wonder'. So yeah, Ebichu are basically MomoClo, but less popular, and there's more of them to claw away at your chest and rip out your heart~

And I may get eaten alive for saying this, but all of these girls are at least 5x cuter than the members of MomoClo. That's just my opinion, kay?

Anyways, today I am reviewing the first song that I ever came across, thanks to a friend, that Ebichu had produced, and it's quite a coincidence that I decided to review it in October, the month of Halloween. Yep, it's that crazy Halloween-esque looking video Oh My Ghost? ~Watashi ga Akuryou ni Natte mo~.

Let's Dig in~ (even though it isn't dinner time XD and yes, I kinda attempted to make a pun, but it sucks ;D)

So, as I said previously, this was the first song that I listened to by Ebichu, and though I never really wanted to care for the group, I found myself coming back to the song and the video. Why? Because it's extremely bloody catchy and the girls are too cute for words. It's also nice to see the amount of effort put into the video, dance and how the girls look. It's a nice contrast from Morning Musume's simplistic PVs, even though I do love them.

But one of my immediate reactions to the video was that it seriously reminded me of Momoiro Clover, and the girls all reminded me of MomoClo too as well as their singing voices. Even the structure of the song is just like Momoiro Clover. Talking, singing-talking and a really childish, catchy beat. It all reminds me of MomoClo, but that isn't really a bad thing.

So, the video opens with some acting by two of the girls, and a strangely familiar moon in the air. Hi, Jack Skeleton!

Anyway, the beginning of the video doesn't portray the best acting, but who cares? These two girls are cute, and it makes me lol a little when I listen to pigtails scream whilst looking the least bit scared. I also love the Wolf mask and the fact that Wolfy isn't ripping her friend to shreds when pigtails is just screaming to our faces.

I really like the dance scenes; the dance in this video is really energetic and different to the dances I usually see Idol groups do; there's a lot of round-house kicking, and boy these girls are flexible when they lift their legs! Even though the dance isn't that complicated, it's really fun and fits with the beat so well. I love watching these girls dance, you can see that they're really into it. I also really do like the background; it isn't half-arsed, and it looks like people put effort into it *coughMajiDesuKaSkacoughhacksplutter*

Okay, can I have one of each?

OMFG It's Tekeuchi Akari 2.0!

This ones my favourite <3 How could you resist that smile?

One of my favourite parts of this entire PV has to be when they come close up with their flash lights and start using deeper, huskier voices to try and give a creepy effect to the song, and it really does work. These girls make the video so cute, but also give it the amount of creepiness it needs to pull off a Halloween feeling... despite the video actually not coming out during the Halloween month XD

Oh lord, this scene XD My first ever reaction was 'WTF?' but I think it fits with the song - it's meant to be Halloweeny, but it isn't meant to be totally serious. I mean, what Zombie-Nurse looks like that? Luckily, it adds an element of humour in the video, but in a way it can be a bit freaky and weird if you think about it. I mean, come on! They look like mimes, and mimes can be just as scary as clowns in my opinion! I think that they brought this scene in at a perfect time during the video; it isn't too early, and the way they act when dancing during the instrumental makes the costumes and the way they look (a little gormless) fit in with the zombie-like dance.

However, I do think that the make-up is a bit ridiculous, but then I remember that this is a sister group to MomoClo - there is no limit to how ridiculous the PV can be, so I forgive them for that, and applaud them for actually stepping out and playing around with the video, the costumes and the make-up. It makes it stand out and thus makes it so much more appealing.

DAWA!!!! 8D Seriously, that's Dawa, right? XD

I think that girls all look really cute in those nurse dresses - maybe we could get a video with them in just those dresses without the make-up? Oh wait, I forget... they're a group based on Elementry School. Way to ruin the chances of Lolita Nurses *rolls eyes*

HELLO LEGS <3

These are also some of my favourite scenes, simply because the girls either look good whilst pulling faces that are meant to be shocked or scared, or just down right cute and funny.

But this has to be my favourite, purely because it really fits in with the darkness, and it's something I would expect to happen from a Zombie, like 'Come to the Darkness, I has CANDEH'.

Ebichu: "Come Hither, little ones~"

During this scene I was like 'She's too annoying, because of her adorable voice -_-;'

LOL at the cheapness of those fangs. Straight away you can see that there was no effort put into this one scene where the fangs were concerned, but it really doesn't bother me. It adds to the cuteness element, and seriousness is the last thing I am ever going to expect from this group! XD

Okay, so to finish this off I will talk about the song, then my overall opinion of the group:

Regarding the song, I really think that it is a fun and catchy tune. I recently seem to have it stuck in my head, and it's a song that I remember quite quickly too. When I think of the songs name, I remember the tune, and that honestly doesn't really happen for me, so yeah... this song is memorable I guess.

What I love about the song itself is that it is really fun and quirky, and changes pace so frequently throughout the song. It goes from happy and carefree to shaky and scared, with deep, lower voices thrown in as they speak/sing, then goes right back to its fast and lively pace. It's really wonderful to listen to, and makes me feel somewhat energetic. Even though you would initially think that the song would be darker and less energetic because of its theme (ghosts), it is really surprising and a great song to listen to.

Overall, for the first song that I heard from this group, I am already really impressed. I actually recently decided to see what else they had sung, and this is their last Indies single. I'm surprised that this is an Indies single, for one, because it is extremely well made and well thought out.  It's also on the same level of craziness that MomoClo is, but I guess the producers really do care for the girls and for their debut, so they made an effort. As far as I know, only one of their other indies songs has a PV, but it's a pretty simple dance-shot/close-up shot affair from what I saw of it when I flicked through the actual video.

So, I really like this group. I am surprised that they have only just debuted as a full-fledged Idol group, but I really hope that they take Japan by storm with their cuteness and the energy that they have. I would love for these girls to become well-known, popular idols like their big sister group, MomoClo, and I would love it if they kept bringing out cute and lively songs.

I really like this song and the video - initially, after first seeing it, I didn't care. I wasn't too keen on MomoClo at that point, but I've really started to like Ebichu The song kept popping up enough for me to start acknowledging it and then liking it. These girls are super adorable, and I love this song~ I also really like their newest single, Motto Hashire!, which is their debut. Please check that one out!

If you like MomoClo, then you will like this! But even if you aren't keen on MomoClo (like I'm not, really), still give this group a chance! Let them cast a spell on you with their cute charms!

Ebichu have ripped out my heart to feed their zombie selves~

Chiima~
