Okay! Musume Digest #18

Because Google Blogger is a fucking douchey piece of shit, I've had to write most of this news out AGAIN because blogger's new interface sucks, I hate it, and Google ruin EVERYTHING1 Youtube, now blogger. Hi, Google - FUCK OFF. Thanks.

This post is a day late, but that's due to the poll being a day later, as well as the fact that I wanted more news than this week gave me. Thank goodness yesterday was the day of news! Mostly H!P, of course, but what can we do there guys, hm? That, and I've been pretty busy. I've spent the least amount of time on the internet this week! Horrendous! D8

Also, is it just me, or does the new blogger interface SUCK? I swear, it has actually deleted some of my SAVED WORK on THIS update! I might have to seriously complain to google, because it fucks everything up from Youtube to fucking blogger...

Anyway, other than a bad week of news, slowness and business, let's get onto the poll, shall we?

This week I asked you what your favourite song from Morning Musume's new album was your favourite. Here is the winner...

What's Up? Ai wa Dou na no yo~

Ever since the dance practice revealing the song was uploaded, it has been a popular choice for everyone, and plenty of people love it! I think it's a great song, one of the more listened to tracks on the album for me right now! It's fun and great to listen to, so if you haven't already, check it out!

Here are the rest of the results!

Be Alive 40%
Renai Hunter 33%
One Two Three 26%
Namida Hitoshizuku 26%

NEWS OF THE WEEK

This week on Hello! Satoyama Life...

Cooking! Hammocks! Some Oda Sakura! Chinami! Maasa! That one I don't GAF about!

I've started to realise that Hello! Satoyama Life now heavily relies on how you cook your food that you grow yourself, which is actually pretty good because for food fanatics, this will be a great part of the show. That, and Aika tends to hosts that corner of the show. Other than farming, we can see how you can prepare the ingredients and make something, for a healthier, but also quite delicious, meal.

Hopefully everyone can take a look at the episode! Have fun!

High quality images for Morning Musume's 51st single, Wakuteke Take a chance have been released, and let's just say that there are... erm, interesting...

Let's start off with the worst, shall we? The worst being Limited C because it is simply frightening. Daishi looks like she wants to kill you, and so does Haruka. In face, the only ones I like in the entire picture are Sayumi, Fukumura and Zukki, because they look somewhat happy. Riho looks smug, Reina looks bored, Daishi wants to kill me, Haruka hates me, Satou has no emotion, Haruna is bored, Eripon hates her hair and yeah. That, and the cluster and no room to breath in the image is just... off putting. I'm sorry, that is not an attractive cover!

In fact, Reina looks bored in nearly all of them except the Limited E, where she smirks. Actually, Limited E reminds me of Chokkan's covers in a way.

Regular edition actually has to be one of the nicer covers. My favourite's are Limited A (despite the awkward Riho standing), Limited D, Limited F and Regular. They have the best covers in my opinion.

The Hello! Project Kenshuusei are set to release an original song titled Kanojo ni Naritai!!!. It will be performed for the first time at S/mileage's Autumn concert by the selected Kenshuusei who are taking part as backing dancers. The single will be sold at event venues.

This is incredibly surprising and happy news! I wasn't expecting the Kenshuusei, despite their sudden amount of publicity and concerts, to get a single or original song of their own, so this is somewhat mind blowing for me! The girls have their own song to claim as their own, and we will get to hear how the girls all sound.

Just... wow. Amazing, wonderful and much needed news. Kenshuusei fans, be proud! Your girls have a single coming out! Now, how about a PV?

Source

Kusumi Koharu will be taking part in the Girls Award 2012 Autumn/Winter fashion show.

It's nice to hear news concerning the Idol who began my Morning Musume fandom, and it's great to see that she is still getting work and doing her best as a model! Koharu will get to hopefully wear some lovely clothes (catwalk clothes aren't always so charming, I think) and will have a great time!

Good luck, Koharu!

Sayashi Riho will hold a handshake event in Hiroshima on September 28th to promote Wakuteke Take a chance.

It's expected for handshake events to happen, and it's quite expected for Riho to go solo when it comes to these events. As Morning Musume's ace, promoting Riho on her own seems to be something UFA will continue to do for a while now.

All I can say is that hopefully many fans will go to greet Riho and buy a CD when it comes out.

Source

Tanaka Reina and Iikubo Haruna will hold a handshake event in Fukuoka on September 24th to promote Wakuteke Take a Chance.

This would have already happened by the time you guys see this piece of news, but when I read that Harunan and Reinyan would be promoting the single together, I was quite surprised. I thought that, as it is Fukuoka and all, Eripon would have been beside Reinyan promoting Morning Musume's up-coming single. Regardless though, it's great that Harunan and Reinyan will be going to the event together. It is a chance to show off Harunan and her charms as well as to help Reina's fans familiarise themselves with her.

Hopefully fans within the area can go to meet the girls.

Morning Musume will appear Happy Music on October 5th.

Obviously, more promotion is in order, because music TV show appearances generally mean that the girls will perform their up-coming song to gain more interest for the general public. This will most likely be a fun appearance, as the girls always show off their cute personalities no matter where they are, and hopefully they will all have fun!

Source

Berryz Kobou will perform at the Osaka University of Economics and Law on October 11th. Momoko Tsugunaga will not be there due to schedule conflict.

This is nice news to hear, because no matter what venue you go to, a live or a concert is still great, and if the girls go to visit a University this will be a great treat for the students who are fans of the girls! Hopefully this promotion will continue for Berryz, and hopefully the other H!P groups.

According to Nakajima Saki's blog, DIY♡ recently shot their PV for their song Fore Fore ~Forest for Rest~ outside.

This is what I have been hoping for. Expected? Nope, but I certainly hoped and wished for it to happen, and it has. I am really happy, and surprised, because these girls make a lovely group together and don't bore me at all! There's an interesting mix, from the sexy but really boring (to me) Maimi, the funny and cute Chinami, the talented and wonderful Miyabi, the dancing master Nakky and the innocent but really weird Harunan. A great mix of girls, I think, and with a great song to add and their lovely legs, we get a cool group.

Hopefully the PV will be promising! I look forward to legs legs LEGS and dancing maniacs! Until then, we can only wait it out!

A radio preview of Fukumura Mizuki and Ishida Ayumi's song, titled Daisuki 100 Manten has been released. This will be the B-side song for Wakuteke Take a chance's Limited C and D singles.

This is a really cute song, and it really suits both of these girls' vocals. Fukumura is certainly the more talented singer here in the song, with her polished vocals and a certain softness to her voice which makes it easy for her to sing this song, and Ayumi, whilst not vocally the best, sounds really nice here. She has a certain edge to her voice which is really appealing and compliments Fukumura's vocals, and these two make a pretty great combo, even better than the combo of SayuMizuki.

It's a cute song and I could easily get addicted to it. Definitely check it out guys and see how you all like it!

Kudo Haruka's first photobook has been titled Do, which seems to be a play on words of do, as in do this or that, and the do at the end of 'Kudo'. The photobook will show images of Kudo in Goth Shoujo, as well as images of her swimming and diving skills. A Limited Edition cover has also been announced for the release.

Our Queen of Lollipops and Gumdrops' PB will soon be released, so details like this are sure to follow in the next few weeks to get everyone excited for Haruka's very first photobook. Whilst we only have a little information, the idea of seeing Kudo showing off her swimming skills and her cuteness in Goth Shoujo is something to look forward to with this release. Hopefully we will get to see the covers soon as well.

Reserve your copies for your Lolita Queen, guys!!!

Ishida Ayumi will hold a handshake event in Sendai on September 24th to promote Wakuteke Take a chance.

More handshake events! And whilst this will have passed by the time it comes around, it's great to see that UFA are splitting the girls up to do handshake events as it means that fans within the area can go see the members and talk to them as well as possibly become fans of the girls themselves. Hopefully all Ayumin fans can go and see her and have a handshake!

Hello! Project members Michishige Sayumi, Momoko Tsugunaga, Yajima Maimi, Suzuki Airi, Mano Erina, Wada Ayaka, Sayashi Riho and Ishida Ayumi have graced the cover of UTB+ Volume 10.

The cover seems to feature the more popular members of Hello! Project, and whilst it would have been nice to see more Berryz members (instead of Momoko and her ugly pigtails) the cover is very nice, with Airi in the front centre. All of the girls look gorgeous in Morning Musume's 'red' colour, and whilst I am not a big fan of the doll, lifeless look these girls are sporting, it's nice to see them all on this cover.

By far, though, Sayumi looks the best.

Iikubo Haruna and Ishida Ayumi will hold a handshake event in Fukushima on September 25th in order to promote Wakuteke Take a chance.

It's great that Haruna and Ayumi will once again be holding a handshake event for their group, though this time they are together, and it will be great for any 10th generation fans within the area who want to meet the girls and check out the single details. Hopefully all fans within the area can go!

Morning Musume's 9th and 10th generation members will hold a handhskae event and mini live for Wakuteke Take a chance on September 29th.

It's great that the 9th and 10th generation will be coming together for another handshake event and mini live. UFA seem to be promoting these girls really well right now, and are ready to show them all off together. Hopefully everyone who can go to the event goes and watches the girl in action to see just how much they have all improved and to cheer on their Oshi's!

Michishige Sayumi and Fukumura Mizuki will hold a handshake event in Yamaguchi on September 24th to promote Wakuteke Take a chance.

More handshakes, and possibly even more to come! This time the cutest duo are going to promote the single and possibly enchant their fans with their sweetness and ho well these two work together. Hopefully all fans within the area can go to the event and have a handshake with these two girls!

9nine will be releasing their single, White Wishes, on December 12th. The title track has been picked up as the ending theme for TV Tokyo's anime series Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun which will begin airing on October 1st. The song is described as a winter love song which portrays the romance of a highschool student.

I'm excited at the prospect of a winter love song from this group, because winter songs are always nice to listen to, and hopefully the PV with have a lovely Christmas feel to it as well. It sounds promising, and I'm pretty excited about the sound too. Whilst 9nine have a distinctive sound to them now, they seem to be breaking out a little and trying new things to see what works for this group.

Hopefully these girls will continue to keep busy and work hard!

Source

A radio rip for 9nine's up-coming single, Yi Er! Jiang Shi feat. Hao Hao! Jiang Shi Girl, due out on November 14th, has been released, featuring a new sound to 9nine.

This song really surprised me with the rave-like techno pop used in it, as well as the chinese influencr to the sound of the song. I was expecting something similar to what the girls usually produce, but this time we have something that is vibrant, fresh and totally new from this group. The song is cute, it's energetic and fun and it really captures this cute, friendly and childish feel which I am liking. I wasn't expecting this sound to come out of 9nine, but I am really liking how these girls sound and how fun the song is! It makes me anticipate the PV more, as well as the single! It sounds promising!

Hopefully everyone will get a chance to listen to this song and see if they like it or not!

NMB48 have revealed their 6th single song, titled Kitagawa Kenji during HEY! HEY! HEY!'s three hour special on September 24th. The single will be released on November 7th. The song is named after an AKB48 staff member, Kitagawa Kenji.

Is... is this a chance to actually get interested in this bland 48 group? Oh my gosh, I actually like this song!!!

... And is that Ogwa Saki in the front with the short cut, or just someone who looks spookily like her when she was performing the song Short Cut? Who knows, but she looks just like her and those costumes look like the short cut ones but a bit more Kyrary inspired.

This song, though.. it may be a ticket to an interesting song in NMB48. I've never been a big fan of their songs, especially their debut, though Oh My God! was quite nice to listen to when I was on a 48 binge, but these girls have always bored me to tears, there is not one of them who interests me (Ogawa Saki look alike may be a good one to go for, though), so to hear a song which I actually like by them is pretty surprising. I'm actually looking forward to this song! The PV better be good, too.

Source

Mano Erina's 13th and final Hello! Project single has been titled Next Myself. The PV for this single will also include FC members of Hello! Project to commemorate Mano Erina's final single as H!P's only soloist act.

This is sad news that this single will be Erina's last, but it's exciting that the single PV will include fanclub members who may star in the video. Hopefully for everyone it will be a fun shoot, and thanks to the title, we can now anticipate the sound of the song. It could be a ballad, or even a happy song that says goodbye to everyone. Maybe the video will be in the style of a concert or a handshake event, who knows? Either way, this is a single to anticipate and hopefully many fans can look forward to it!

J-Melo are holding a Fan meeting in Paris with former Morning Musume 5th generation members Takahashi Ai and Niigaki Risa, on November 10th.

This news is extremely exciting, and I was so happy and overwhelmed to see it... and then I remembered that I don't have a passport. But I am still happy, and whilst I do wish that I could go, I really hope that fans of these two will find the opportunity to go and meet their Idols. I would love to go, but alas, I can't due to being a broke student. So, have fun.

I might cry ;A;

Details are all on the website, so click the source and GO GO GO!

S/mileage's next single will be titled Samui ne, meaning It's Cold, and will be released on November 28th.

The song title immediately makes me think of winter, and thanks to the title I am now really hoping for a winter themed PV and song. As far as I remember, the last winter themed song within Hello! Project was Aitai Lonely Christmas by C-ute, and that was a song I absolutely adored. Christmas is sowly drawing near, people, so maybe this one will be the next Christmas release from Hello! Pro? Oh, if ONLY!

Morning Musume need to do a Christmas single, too.

Berryz Kobou's next single will be titled WANT! and will be released on December 19th.

The minute I see the title WANT!, I think of Cowgirls, lassoes, prancing around in hats and good old cowboy movies... you know, that sort of stuff, so if the PV has anything to do with the girls being wanted Cowgirl criminals or even sheriffs, then I'm game! Miyabi looking all bad ass, with Risako and Momoko as the cattle or barmaids... Oh, and if that is the case (not the cattle bit, I joke joke) then please do something with Momoko and Risako's hair. These girls look god awful hair-wise right now, and also... lay off the sauce Risako, you continuously look drunk...

Lalalala

Vanilla Beans will be releasing their 3rd album, titled Vanilla Beans III on November 7th. There will be 13 tracks, including a solo song each.

I pay very little attention to Vanilla Beans because they are so... er, vanilla I guess. They're pretty bland for my tastes, but if you like girls who are quite old fashioned in a way via their looks and the sound of their music, then definitely check them out, but for me they're quite boring. However, it's great that the girls are bringing out another album, so definitely check it out when it hits the store shelves guys if you are interested!

I won't bother posting the covers, they freak me out and are hideous IMO.

Okay, that's all for this week guys! Now, please excuse me whilst I go complain to google about their shitty system and how they ruined Blogger...

Okay! Musume Digest! #11

It's.... DIGEST TIME!!!

The week has gone by once again, and we are back with more news! What is in store for everyone? Well, some Morning Musume, a bit of Cat's Eye 7, a few up-coming magazine appearences and a bit of other stuff thrown in there...

Most of this post is made up of videos, because a few previews have come out which was nice, and some live footage of Morning Musume too, so plenty of videos for you all to watch in this digest if that is what you like! Regarding the week, it's been pretty damn good, and I'm happy with the amount of news that has popped up - especially the amount of promotion that Morning Musume seem to be doing right now!

In other news, I've been lazy xD I guess...

Anyway, I do have a present for y'all, in the form of the sexiest gif EVER!!!

Picture of Le Week!

Oh... you know it's sexy! And here's a lil' challenge for you all: You guys should try to pelvic thrust your way through your favourite Morning Musume song! MUAHAHAHAHA!

Seriously... do it!

And also a new poll for you guys to have a go at. Wanna know what the question is?

Which Hello! Project Egg would you like to see make it into Morning Musume?

Currently, Tanabe Nanami, Miyamato Karin, Kosuga Fuyuka, Takagi Sayuki and Kaneko Rie have made it into the finals for Morning Musume's 11th Generation auditions. This was apparently made official last month, and considering Eggs do pass to the final round quicker than others, it's safe to say that this is (probably) legitimate.

So... who would you choose? And yeah, I already know who's going to win...

Anyway... onto the...

NEWS OF THE WEEK

The latest episode of Hello! Pro Time features Iikubo Haruna, Ishida Ayumi, Nakajima Saki, Yajima Maimi, Fukuda Kanon and Wada Ayaka helping out on the farm and land again, giving viewers another look into agricultural life and how it all works.

Whilst not the most interesting episode, I like that this show takes on that informative approach and allows fans to take a look into how farming works in Japan and also, we get to see the Idols do something different and also get involved in the farming of their country, something that most singers or performers don't really do. It's a nice episode to watch, not as boring as others but also not as interesting, however it is nice to see the intrigue the girls have and how much they get into this.

UpFrontChannel has uploaded a video showing footage on Cat's Eye 7, including rehearsals and footage from the press conference as well as a short performance of the girls singing their new song.

Is it bad that I think Risako's voice sounds better under heavy auto-tune, and that you can barely recognise that horrible warble she always does? Just me? Okay, thought so~

Anyway, aside from dislike of Risako's warbles, the song sounds alright. I like the tone, but the heavy auto-tune is less desirable, for me. However, Nakky and Yurina still sound lucious, and Saki rapping? Yep, my life is complete, because she looks gorgeous when she raps. Just sayin'. Anyway, this is a nice little video for Cat's Eye 7 fans, even though we've seen most of this footage already. Hopefully everyone will take a chance to watch it and see how their favourite girls perform!

Space Shower TV will air a Morning Musume Special in September. Fans can send in questions. The current lineup will also be able to ask OG members questions on the show.

These days, it seems that Morning Musume is garnering a lot more attention due to the sudden image change they have taken on, as well as hitting their 15th year as a group and releasing their mile-stone 50th single. Of course, it makes me, as a fan, incredibly happy that the group is able to appear on TV shows and show the public their bubbly personalities whilst also showing off the new members so that people can become familiar with them, and we all know how good the new generation of MM on TV shows - Black Variety is a great example of this!

Amazing news for Morning Musume and their fans! I can't wait for the episode to be leaked, if it ever is.

Auditions for Tanaka Reina's band have been opened again, with the deadline being Spetember 2nd. If all goes well, Tsunku aims for the band to be revealed during Hello! Project's New Year Concert.

Now, for these auditions, there could be two reasons why they have once again been opened: 1) There has been a lot of interest, so more auditions ave been added, or 2) Tsunku and the other judges have not found enough people that they think are right for the band, so they are opening auditions once again to see if they can find anyone again.

Regardless of those reasons, it's great that Tsunku aims for the group to be unveiled during the New Year concert as well as the fact that there is once again an audition open. This gives girls the chance to try again, or to try if they couldn't (maybe because of their age) as well as for the judges to see what girls catch their eyes, as well as to bring in new possible Trainees for Hello! Project too. The prospects are endless, really, and this audition could bring in a lot of talent for H!P and UFA itself, especially with Reina as the main vocalist. Hopefully, all auditions go well, and I can't wait for the unveiling!

Morning Musume made an appearence on the show Waratte Iitomo. There is no performance, however the girls talk quite a bit and we get a good look at Reina's new hair!

This was a pretty nice segment to watch, because once again we get a chance to see Morning Musume on a talk show where they all show off their individual personalities and basically promoting themselves and the 50th single more.

Honestly, I love seeing Morning Musume on talk shows because all of the girls are entertaining to watch. Everyone has a unique way of acting and presenting themselves when in front of the camera, and none of the girls are exactly boring. There is always a lot of energy with the girls on TV shows, even when they aren't doing much. It's also great that the girls are continuing to promote the 50th single even after it has been released. Other than what I have said, there really isn't much else to say on the show other than the fact that hopefully, all fans will watch it and enjoy.

Hopefully, everyone will be able to take a look at the show and see what they think!

Girl group Juliet will be releasing their 14th single, titled Daisuki, on August 15th. A PV preview (above) has also been released for everyone to see on Juliet's official channel.

I'm pretty new to Juliet, but from the few songs I have listened to (I have a particular liking for Haru Love it seems) this is a girl group worth listening to. Juliet is made up of three Gyaru models, and they are classed as a Japanese Pop-R&B group. That said, I am looking forward to this release - the PV looks good, and I really like all of the girls' voices as well as their sound. The song is lovely, quite slow but it picks up a bit towards the end of the PV preview.

Basically, if you are a sucker for slow songs (like me) then give this a go. I can't guarentee that you will like it, but it's nice.

Here is the tracklist for those interested:

1. Daisuki
2. Michi Surube
2. Daisuki (Instrumental)

Berryz Kobou and C-ute will perform at FujiTV's Odaiba Live on August 9th and 10th respectively.

As always, news regarding live events or handshakes - or just about anything to do with a group I like promoting themselves more - is always great news, and considering it is both Berryz and C-ute who will be performing (on seperate days, though) this is a good bit of news for their fans, as it means more promotion for the girls and their new or upcoming singles. There is the chance that during this performance, C-ute will sing their upcoming single Aitai Aitai Aitai na, which I am sure a lot of fans are anticipating after the radio rip was leaked.

Source

Sayashi Riho of Morning Musume and Suzuki Airi of C-ute will both be gracing the covers of Top Yell magazine for the upcoming issue.

For any fan of these two, it's great to see them on the covers - for a fan of Hello! Project, C-ute or Morning Musume, it's even better news because it means promotion and getting the name of the group out there... even if only one member is being shown. Whilst I am not a massive fan of either these two Idols, I do like that they are being promoted and shown off, because it just means that there will be more interest in where the girls are from, and what groups they are in. Also, I like the covers - the outfits are really nice, and quite eye catching.

Sometimes, I wish that I could buy these magazines... -cries-

The covers to Buono's upcoming album have been released on CDJapan. There is a Limited and Regular Edition available.

These covers. SO. CUTE! Though the one thing I noticed almost immediately was the recycled Devil Horns hair that UFA seem to like using on the H!P Idols right now. Really, when will they stop getting so horny happy with the horns? Though they look cute on Airi...

Another thing I noticed: Momoko looks presentable, which means those horrible, stupid pigtails aren't there. Seriously, I am relieved! Those ugly things aren't disgracing the cover! She looks so cute, and Miya... well, we all know that Miya's perfect.

I like it. It's cute, but not overbearing. They all look nice, and it's so sweet and candy like!

I'm craving sugar, be right back...

Suzuki Airi, Sayashi Riho and Kusumi Koharu will be on Entame Tsuushin on August 11th.

I'm honestly not familiar with Entame Tsuushin, however it is a TV show which Koharu has been on before, as well as Airi and the other C-ute members when they were promoting their single Kimi wa Jitensha, so it will be interesting to once again see Airi on the show with Koharu, as well as to see a current Morning Musume member, who is the next 'Ace' after Koharu (as well as being the member who inherited her member colour) on the show with her senpai. Hopefulyl the show will be available online at some point for all fans to watch.

Source

Michishige Sayumi and Ishida Ayumi will be attendting the August 14th Rakuten Eagles baseball game.

As most Morning Musume fans will know, Morning Musume (and other Hello! Project acts such as GAM, DEF Diva and C-ute) performed a song made for the Rakuten Eagles, The MANPOWER, which became the baseball teams official Cheer song, so it's great to hear that Morning Musume are continuing to support the team, even after it has been so long since The MANPOWER came out. Hopefully the game will be exciting for both Sayumi and Ayumi, and hopefully some footage will be released on the game for fans to see if it features the two MoMusu members.

Source

Footage from Morning Musume's Mezamashi TV Live at Odaiba has been released, showing a performance from Morning Musume.

With all performances on TV, we get the girls opening up with a song as well as member introductions (with a lot of Sayumin love from the members) and a few more performances, with the song Joshi Kashimashi Monogatari being a surprising add into the mix, but completely understandable as it helps newer fans get to know who the members are more. There are also some cute skits for the girls, like Zukki doing her little bug impressions, and PonPon returning for our enjoyment, as well as Riho doing a tongue twister (I think).

Songs performed:

One Two Three (Short ver.)
Joshi kashimashi Monogatari
The Matenrou Show
Renai Hunter
Love Machine (Encore)
One Two Three (Encore) (Full performance)

As you can see from the list, there is a nice mix of songs, though the biggest disappointment would have to be Renai Hunter, as it was divided between simply Reina and Riho... I know that Riho is the Ace within her generation, but it would be nice to give the other girls some lines, especially as Riho is currently sounded strained during performances (her once good concert voice has become quite strained and pitchy), but Love Machine was the surprisingly good performance, with a better line distribution and a nice surprise opening from Iikubo who happened to do the DEIA! for this performance.

Overall, it was quite nice to watch, with my beloved Renai Hunter being the biggest disappointment out of all the songs. Anyway, I was surprised that Joshi was included, but I raised an eyebrow when Love Machine started, because that's pretty typical and predictable.

Anywhoo, I suggest that all fans take a look! It's a nice watch, and I liked the performance.

A very (very) short radio rip for C-ute's next single release, titled Aitai Aitai Aitai na has been released for fans to listen to.

Honestly, it's actually quite annoying just how little of a preview we get, because 1) There is a woman talking over the damn instrumental and 2) We don't hear anything until around 39 seconds, but, regardless, at least we get a good amount of song to decipher just what we will be getting with this single, and honestly? I'm looking forward to the PV, because I have no idea what the hell they could do with this song video wise. Now, from the preview I do hear some snippets of instrumental which remind me of Cha Cha SING (surprisingly) as well as quite a bit of Mai, and a lot of Chisato, which I always like to hear, but in terms of line distribution, this seems to be promising. Currently I am unsure about the song, but we will see what I think when the entire thing comes out with a video...

A radio rip for Buono's song BELIEVE★★★, which will be released on their upcoming mini album titled Sherbert has been released for fans to listen to.

As many have said, this is your typical Buono! affair, and nothing special. It's a standard tone, and doesn't really offer much. Oh, and Momo is shrill once again, and doesn't offer us the pleasure of her decent voice, and only gives us that horrible shriek she calls a singing voice. Honestly, Momo, bring back the Buono! side of yourself and leave the infuriating childish side to Berryz, that way I can at least like a little bit of you!

As you can tell, I am not overly keen on this song already, but it's a personal preference. Hopefully the other songs deliver a better performance than this one, and better vocals from the worst singer of the sub-group.

Morning Musume's 9th and 10th Generation members will release a photobook on September 10th.

Photobook, which isn't all about Riho? Big chance it will be though... Oh boy, I'm totally there!...

Well, not completely, but honestly, this is exciting news for all 9th and 10th generation fans, because these girls certainly deserve the photobook together, and considering it has been a long time since there have been new girls in MM, and with the heavy promotion they have all been getting since they all joined, it isn't surprising that they will have a photobook together to show their closeness to each other. Hopefully, this will also bring a few other members to popularity and prepare them for their own future solo PB's!

Wishing for a Zukki, Eripon and Chokubo Honey one!

Morning Musume have released a preview of one of their new songs from their latest album, Colourful Character, which will also be used as the audition dance song for the 11th Generation training camp. The song is titled What's Up? Ai wa Dou nan da~ and features a rap, dance-style sound to it which is new to Morning Musume... or at least the Morning Musume I know.

This song is incredible, and when my sister and I first saw this in the youtube feed, we were excited at just the video being there to give us a glimpse of an upcoming song from the group. Of course we hoped that this would be the 51st single, but hey, it's amazing - so it has to be an album song, because we know that Tsunku keeps the best songs under lock and key for albums... Cry for no PV D;

I also like the fact that this will be the song that the 11th generation potentials will be dancing to - it's up-beat and energetic, so hopefully everyone can keep up, and hopefully more song previews will appear very soon!

C-ute's official youtube channel have released a digest for the group's 2012 Spring Concert Tour, giving us a nice view into what we can expect for the DVD!

Watching the Digest made me excited for the actual performance, because it looks amazing - as always, C-ute are polished and great performers with wonderful dancing skills, as they have some of the best dancers in all of Hello! Project, and of course five great singers. I liked the songs that were used for the digest, and it makes me anticipate the whole performance when it comes out.

The only thing I thought was a bit off was their Momoiro Clover-esque costumes, the maid-like outfits with hearts - it reminded me so much of MomoClo and Tokyo Mew Mew, but regardless, the girls look great!

Hopefully everyone can take a look at the digest and see if it is worth buying the whole DVD!

Recently, HouPri's website was updated, and it is now official: Nene Sakuragi is currently the only Generation 3 member of HouPri. The other 6 candidates are still in their training period, waiting to see if they have made it into the group as official members.

It's been quite some time now since I last updated on HouPri and their new brood of trainee Candidates, but FINALLY the staff decided to update their site (for crying out loud, took long enough!) and I have found that currently, only one of the candidates has become a full member.

Though I'm not surprised, because Nene seems to be the most popular girl out of them all, and its great to know that HouPri have added a new member after losing quite a few... and honestly, seeing how many members from the first gen was left on the site update was a little upsetting, as only three original HouPri members remain, but oh well...

Hopefully more news on HouPri will be out soon.

Sayashi Riho, Suzuki Kanon and Sato Masaki will appear in MacPeople magazine, which will be out on August 29th.

I'm not surprised by the fact that Riho is in the magazine at all, but I am stunned that Kanon is, because she is the least promoted member of the new generations... actually, she's the least promoted out of all of Morning Musume right now, so to see that she will appear in the magazine with Riho and Masaki is great news for her fans! I am honestly ecstatic that she will get the opportunity to be promoted a little bit!

As I said in the description of the news, the magazine will be released on the 29th August.

Morning Musume's youtube channel recently uploaded the recent Ustream featuring the Juukies, which focused on the change of Haruna's member colour from Chocolate to Honey.

For fans who missed out on the Ustream, and wanted to watch a decent quality version, there is finally one available. It is just over an hour long, so be sure to sit tight and enjoy what the Juukies have in store for us all! As far as I know, there are a few games involved and a lot of talking. I don't know about songs at all, but I don't think that there are any (I would have loved to have seen a performance for Seishun Domannaka from the girls) but what we do get is probably extremely fun! So far, I have seen snippets of the actual Ustream.

Hopefully all fans can take a peak and enjoy!

Tokunaga Chinami will be releasing a new Solo DVD, and will be a part of the e-LineUP. Filming is set for August until September.

This is wonderful news for Chinami fans, and as a fan of Chinami myself, I think that a solo DVD or a photobook was going to come around anyway due to the immense amount of promotion she has been getting lately, so this is some amazing news! Hopefully all fans are looking forward to the release as well as a digest of the DVD. Let's hope and wait with patience, guys!

The picture above was attached to the tweet, so here is a little sample for us all ;)

Sayashi Riho, Ishida Ayumi and Kudo Haruka will appear in girls! magazine, which will be out on September 22nd.

It seems that UFA are on fire with promotions for their new generation girls some more than others and are streaming ahead with magazine photoshoots for their girls, and it isn't surprising that these three will be appearing in a magazine together, as they seem to be the most popular and more promoted members of the new generations. Hopefully UFA will keep up with these promotions, because it's doing Morning Musume a whole lot of good.

Hopefully the release of this magazine will bring a lot more awareness to this fresh, reborn Morning Musume and get them  few more fans!

And that is this weeks news all wrapped up! Hopefully there was something interesting for you all, and let's hope that next week brings more news for everyone! Yay!

Okay! Musume Digest! #10

Another day, another dollar... Another week, another Okay! Musume Digest. Okei, ready, set... DISCO!

So, this week has been a lot more eventful! There has been quite a bit going on, such as CD releases like Cha Cha SING, Tweet Dream and others, as well as a few videos which I had a great time watching and, oh boy, yet another Morning Musume colour change, one which I reacted to quite badly, and ended up liking more than I thought. Yup, I enjoy over-dramatising a situation, don't I?

Anyway, before I really get into any news, it's time to look at the results of this poll I put up! So, Which Group/Talent would YOU take to the beach? Let's find out!

Congrats to Morning Musume! This iconic girl group took the poll by the storm, and won the deciding vote! They are the group/talent that YOU, yes, YOU, would like to take to the beach! But, who will you spend the most time with? Who knows, that is for you to decide ;D

With 53% of the votes, Morning Musume has won!

But how did the other girls fare?

C-ute 33%
Berryz Kobou 29%
S/mileage 16%
Mitsui Aika 14%
AKB48 11%
Arashi 11%
Hey! Say! JUMP! 11%
Mano Erina 9%
SKE48 9%
KAT-TUN 9%
PASSPO 9%
NMB48 8%
StylipS 8%
AAA 6%
Sexy Zone 4%
Fairies 4%
Fudanjuku 3%
NEWS 3%

And that's the poll results! WOW there were a lot of groups, but hey, everyone has a group they like, right? We all have individual tastes, and I try to cater to those tastes in my polls... xD And personally, I want to spend some time at the beach with Eripon, Harunan, Zukkini, Haruka, Nishijima Takahiro of AAA and ManoEri xD Cos that's just me :P

OMG FUDANJUKU, TOO!!! <3

Anyway, with that all done and dusted, let's move onto...

Le News of Le Week!

Morning Musume members Iikubo Haruna and Sato Masaki voice their concern for fellow member Suzuki Kanon's sanity...

Kudo Haruka kicks ass in the latest Black Variety...

Almost quite literally, actually!

And Iikubo Haruna strips for you!

... Kinda...

Okay, silliness over and done with. It's time to move onto the real...

NEWS OF THE WEEK

A new week means another new episode of Hello! Project's new series, Hello! SATOYAMA Life! This week we have another agriculture and cooking based episode, featuring Mitsui Aika, Ishida Ayumi, Iikubo Haruna, Nakajima Saki and Yajima Maimi and a little bit of a Sayu appearence (in the form of an Uchiwa!)

Firstly, we get to see the girls wash and wrap plants, we have some Aika and Daishi time where the girls cook for the other girls who are busy tilling the land and working hard for the others. It seems that the cooking segments are quite well liked by people, and I can see why. It shows us another side to Aika, who likes cooking, and we get to see the girls enjoy the food made by the crops that they are learning about and helping to grow, whilst also giving the viewers ideas of what to do with the food and what they can make. These segments are helpful and informational, and enjoyable to watch because it allows us to see how Aika interaacts with the people she happens to be working with on the dinner.

There is also a small segment with Hagiwara Mai, Nakky, Iikubo, Ayumi, Haruka, Fukumura, Zukki and Eripon where Iikubo, Ayumi and Nakky present their fellow group members (Nakky to Hagiwara and Iikubo and Ayumi to the 9th and 10th gen members) with 'gifts'. It is a cute little segment.

There is also another segment which I am sure all fans will enjoy, as it shows clips from the latest Hello! Project concert, focusing more-so on the two new units formed: Peaberry and DIY♡. The segment also shows a clip from Mao Erina's graduation announcement.

Overall, the episode was nice to watch! Quite entertaining, and I liked the concert clips in it. Hopefully, everyone will take a look at this weeks episode!

What might happen next week: Clips from Chinami in Thailand! YEI!!!

Morning Musume posed undercover as Staff members in a segment from Mezamashi TV on 25/7!

This clip is really entertaining to watch, because we get to see some members of Morning Musume pose undercover, though Sayumi and Reina were recognised pretty easily. We also get to see some performance clips from the girls singing a few of their songs.

If you love Morning Musume, and you love reactions from fans, then watch this - some of the reactions from the fans recognising the Morning Musume members are quite fun! I would say the only thing that I wasn't pleased about was that the members chosen were the girls who are being pushed a lot now, as well as the two most recognisable members (Sayumi and Reina), but other than that, this is a fun segment, and whilst short, is worth the watch.

A preview of Tsunku's up-coming single, titled Shoppai Ne has been released. The video shows Tsunku recording the song in a studio. The single will also be featured on an upcoming tribute album dedicated to the late Miki Takashi.

I haven't really listened to Tsunku's songs, though I've seen a few clips on youtube where he has performed with Goto Maki or performed Morning Musume songs, so I am quite new to his voice, but when I first heard this, I was surprised by the nice tone of the song and how slow and gentle it was. Tsunku's voice also surprised me, it's quite different, but I like it. He suits the song well and I think the song is, overall, quite beautiful. I would love to see something like this on a Morning Musume tracklist, honestly!

Hopefully a longer preview will be available soon, because this sounds to be a really good song!

7 BeriKyuu members have been casted in the Stage Play Cat's Eye. The members are Shimizu Saki, Hagiwara Mai, Sudo Maasa, Yajima Maimi, Kumai Yurina, Nakajima Saki and Sugaya Risako. The stage play will be based on the manga of the same name by Tsukasa Hojo.

Hello! Project members are never out of stage plays! But that's good, because it means these girls learn about acting and also get noticed by people outside of the Hello! Project fandom, and this time they will probably be noticed by fans of Cat's Eye. Seeing the lineup, I am happy to see that Nakky has once again snagged a role in a stage pay - she seems to be one of the popular choices, and the same goes for MaiMai - they both have been in a few stage plays recently, so it's nice to see the two continue to get roles! I was also happy to realise that Yurina would be in the stage play too, as I don't see her in many acting roles (from what I know of, anyway).

This is exciting news, and I'm happy that these girls have been able to get the chance to perform in a Stage Play and experience acting and singing together in a temporary unit!

The girls will also be a part of a small group called Cat's Eye 7, and they will sing the theme song for the stage play.

MaiDigiTV has uploaded footage from the Cat's Eye press conference.

From what I can see, the girls basically introduce themselves and answer questions, and there really isn't much else to it other than that. However, it is nice to see some footage from the press conference and to see the girls in their costumes. Hopefully, there will be more videos... maybe a performance video of their song?

BiS successfully wrapped up a 24-hour live event! The unorthodox Idol group held the special in-store event to celebrate the release of their major debut single, PPCC. The event was held at the Don Quijote Shinjuku store in Tokyo from July 20th until July 21st.

When I saw this headline on Tokyohive, I was really surprised - how did they hold a live 24-hour event? Well, the girls rotated throughout the night and alternated between performances and handshake events hourly, and apparently had no breaks in between. The fact that these girls even managed to continue for 24 hours is absolutely amazing! Then again, it's BiS - they seem to do anything!

It is honestly great to see that BiS are getting so much coverage, and are trying different things to promote themselves. The event itself would have attracted both fans and casual music lovers because of how different and appealing it is, as well as attracting everyday shoppers. It seems that there was a lot of attention for the girls too, as hourly events would bring in 100 to 200 people, and sometimes the store would be overcrowded with over 300 people coming to watch the girls! That is absolutely amazing!

Also, the girls later switched from regular handshake events to something a little more out-there - hitting the butt with a baseball bat, intimate hugs and even some PPCC action (licking and kissing). If that isn't out there, then I don't what is! The actions themselves would have pleased fans greatly, and it seems that it did go down well - so it's all good for BiS!

So, for their event the girls sang over 100 songs and attracted a total of 5,000 people that day, from fans to casual music lovers to everyday shoppers. This was an amazing event for BiS, and it's great that they were able to do this for their major debut single!

Another video for Cat's Eye 7 has appeared on ComicZenon's youtube channel! Here, we get to see the girls talk as well as have a little look at the dance for their song.

More promotion for the stage play, I have a feeling that this will be a much-anticipated play and single for Hello! Project and Cat's Eye fans, because there seems to be a lot of promotion behind it. Good promotion is always great, especially for the girls who aren't as popular as others (Saki, Nakky, Mai) and to see that the play and the girls are being promoted quite well is nice to see!

Hopefully everyone can check out the video.

Takahashi Ai will star in a new Musical comedy titled the Wedding Singer.

Currently, there isn't much information on the musical itself, but its great to see that Ai is continuing her acting activities with a new play! Of course, with it being a musical, she will most likely sing, which is something that her fans will look forward to. From the website, Ai may be a main character in the play, and if she is, then this is wonderful news for her fans.

There is a CM available for the play if anyone is interested in taking a look at it.

This looks to be a fun and interesting musical, so hopefully more info will be leaked, and maybe when the musical has finished, some clips?

S/mileage will be holding a handshake event and a mini live at the Tokyo Bay Lalaport Mall on August 21st.

More promotion? Heck yeah! Of course, the promotion will be for S/mileage's up-coming single, which will show a cool and cute side to S/mileage that we may have not seen yet from the group since their lineup change.

S/mileage are one of the more promoted groups within Hello! Project since their debut, and they continue to be uite popular and hold many events for their singles, so of course a new handshake event and mini-live isn't new. Hopefully many of their fans attend the event and get to meet their Idols.

A radio rip for S/mileage's up-coming single, titled Suki yo, Junjou Hankouki has been released!

This is a song that I expect many fans will be anticipating as it has a cool sound mixed with a cute chorus, something which is rather new to S/mileage. Hearing the song in good quality, I am really impressed with the overall sound, though I get more of a C-ute/MoMusu vibe from the cool sound of the song, whilst the cuter sound reminds me more of the S/mileage we know than any other Hello! Project group.

This is a good song, and I hope that the PV is just as good. Finally, after two lacking singles (in my opinion) S/mileage have come back with another good song! Hopefully everyone can check out the song itself, and hopefully, PV previews or the actual PV will be revealed soon!

PS be warned: The woman in the beginning of this radio rip is too over-enthusiastic and annoying. She is headache worthy.

Macpeople have released an LQ image of S/mileage's regular edition cover of their up-coming single, Suki yo, Junjou Hankouki. The image can be seen at the bottom of the page.

S/mileage seem to be on a bit of a roll with their updates this week, as the girls have secured another small event to promote this single, released their song on radio, and now the RE of the single has been released in low quality for all fans to see. The cover is pretty basic, but it looks good. Of course, Dawa and Kanon are in the front, with Maimi a bit more to the front than Rina, Akari and Kana, though it seems that Kana's had more of a push forward for this cover, which is nice to see. Everyone has a pretty cute pose in the picture, with Kanon sporting a cooler and my dynamic pose than everyone else.

I like the colours used in the background, and the girls look cute. Good to see that H!P are continuing to give them short skirts and hats.

The latest episode of Black Variety, featuring Morning Musume and Momoko Tsugunga, is now available to watch - and if you haven't watch it, I highly recommend that you do.

This has to be, by far, the funniest and most interesting Black Variety episode featuring Morning Musume I have ever seen, because pretty much from beginning to end I was laughing. In general I don't watc variety shows, even with my favourite Idols in them, but after the debuts of 9th and 10th generation MoMusu, I have gained more of an interest in them because we get to see how the Idols act, and seeing this episode just proved to me how much of a great generation both 9th and 10th gen are.

This episode is a continuation from previous episodes, and shows the members challenging other teams with a bungee cord game. I've actually played this kind of game before at fairs, so seeing Idols play it was even more interesting, and extremely fun to watch - especially Haruka's. Whilst Masaki's was quite cute to watch, seeing Haruka was even funnier and I loved how she reacted. For sure, she is the toughest member of her generation, and watching her here helped me to see how impulsive and tough she was. I think I fell for her more, because watching her react so quickly was absolutely wonderful! She was the most hilarious with her actions - I won't go into too much detail, because I don't want to spoil the episode, but I loved it, and I love Haruka so much more now! She actually reminds me of Reina, with a Yankee edge I guess. No wonder Reina is the one that Haruka admires the most!

Anyway... watch it. Don't regret watching it, because this episode is hilarious.

Morning Musume's 10th Generation will be holding a One-Year anniversary FC event this September on the 28th, the day before they joined Morning Musume nearly one year ago.

The news was announced on the 10th Generation based Ustream regarding Harunan's graduation from her Chocolate' colour before revealing her 'Honey' colour, and for the 10th gen and their fans, this is great news, because it means that their fans will get to see them perform and see how much they have grown since they joined Morning Musume, and to see how each of them have improved individually.

This is exciting news, and hopefully any fan who wants to go can attend to support their favourite 10ki member!

Prepubescent Zone Sexy Zone will be releasing their very first photobook, titled Sweetz, on August 1st and will cost ¥1,800. The photobook will contain pictures from their live rehearsals as well as shots of the boys in Hawaii.
Member Satou Shori says he can’t wait for the photo book especially since it’s their first one. He jokingly said that he “might go out and buy one dressed in disguise.” - Tokyohive
When I saw this announcement on Tokyohive, I was overjoyed. I love news regarding Sexy Zone, as they are one of my favourite male groups right now and I enjoy hearing updates regarding them. Regarding the photobook, it will be interesting to see what photo's there are of the boys. Hopefully all fans can reserve a copy and support this cute group.

Actress, Idol and singer, Kawashima Umika, and fellow 9nine member Murata Hirona have both cosplayed characters from the popular and famous anime series Neon Genesis Evangelion. Umika cosplayed as Ayanami Rie, and Hirona dressed as Soryu Asuka Langley. Te cosplay was for a photo exhibition project titled J:COM presents Evangelion X Bishojo Sahshinten -Girls Collection of EVANGLEION-. Around 30 models and Idols participated in this collaboration between Neon Genesis Evangelion and Collaboration Concept Photo Exhibition.

The photo exhibition will be held from 1st of August until the 6th at Ikebukuro, Tokyo at the Seibu Ikebukuro flagship store, and from 8/15-8/21 at Shisaibashi, Osaka at the Daimaru Shisaibashi flagship store.
Murata commented about her cosplay, “For this photoshoot, I’m no longer Murata Hirona, I have become Asuka. Asuka is a girl with a strong will, and I have become the same.
Kawashima also made a comment about cosplaying the major anime character Ayanami Rei, “I felt a lot of pressure and was uneasy. I was very nervous during the photo-shoot and think I forgot to breathe!” adding, “I hope that the people at the exhibition will be brought into the world of EVA when they see these pictures!” She also revealed, “I get comments that the blue hair is unexpectedly suitable for me, so (my favorite part is) the wig.
When I saw the headline on Tokyohive that Umika was cosplaying a character from a well known anime, I was immediately interested, but I was happy to find out that alongside her, Hirona, my favourite 9nine member of the current lineup, was also cosplaying as a character. Whilst I don't watch Evangelion, nor am really a fan of it, it's great to see Idols participating in an event like this whilst also promoting a well known anime.

here are another two photo's from the shoot:

Morning Musume have revealed that they will be releasing their 51st single on the 10th of October! The release will come in 7 different editions, regular and A to F. Currently, the single is untitled.

Even though the 50th single has just been released, and is still being promoted well by UFA, we have an official announcement for the 51st single! Whilst details are few, many speculate that this single will be the last to feature this lineup before the new generation is announced, however I do wonder if the new generation will have already been added... It depends, really. The new generation may be added just after the release of Morning Musume's 13th album, which is set to release around a month before MoMusu's 51st single.

Regardless of the few details, this is exiting news! Hopefully the title and tracklisting will be revealed soon, as well as the covers and outfits and any previews.

A video of Hello! Channel 9, featuring Ikuta Erina, Tekeuchi Akari, Katsuta Rina, Nakajima Saki, Sudou Maasa and Natsuyaki Miyabi has been uploaded, showing the girls bowling.

There are a lot of gutter balls, and a helluva lot of cuteness and some lovely Nakky-pout scenes here, and for people who like bowling (like me, mwahaha) this should be enjoyable to watch. Watching this video clip actually gave me a new appreciation for Akari - she is extremely cute in this video, and I enjoyed watching her bowl. It is the same for both Eripon and Rina - all of the younger girls are cute in the video! That said, Nakky, Miyabeam and Maasa are all lovely here, and I love the pouts Nakky gives every time she throws a gutter ball xD However, it needs to be said that watching the same thing for twenty minutes or so can be rather boring, so if you like something that is fast-paced and changes every 10 minutes or so, then this isn't for you.

Morning Musume's official logo for their Colorful Character Concert Tour 2012 has been released, showing the first letter of everyone's first name in their member colour which fills the kanji.

Whilst the logo is small, we can already see how colourful everything is - it's like a rainbow, and seeing Eripon and Harunan's new colours added into the mix is refreshing, and both of the colours work with everyone else's colours. I love the look of it, and I also like the name - Colorful Character - because that is what Morning Musume has now become - a Colorful group of characters, with everyone having a different personality and style, something which makes them stand out from the others.

This is a nice little logo, and I can't wait for the concert itself!

Berryz Kobou's official youtube channel has updated with a new 30second spot CM for Cha Cha SING, which features Momoko Tsugunaga towards the end.

I watched the original CM for this, but the extended edition shows off Momochi, promoting her solo song that is available on the single as well. I thought that the little edit was quite cute, especially as the couple didn't seem too bothered with Momo herself. Anyway, all the CM's for Cha Cha SING are worth the watch, and it's great to see that the single is still getting promotion even after being released.

And that's pretty much all the news of the week I have gathered! This is the last week of July, too, so to end this month with the 10th release of this Digest is great! Next, August! I wonder what this month will bring us all in the World of Idols and cuteness? Stay tuned everyone, and may updates continue to leak! I need them, and so do you! >3<
