Let's talk about the SATOYAMA Units and their new Singles, shall we?

All thoughts and opinions within this blog are totally my own, you know that, right? Good! Well, all opinions are individual, so if you have an opinion, state it openly and don't allow others to change how you think or feel! Do allow yourself to take others opinions into consideration, and to allow you to see things differently, but do not let their opinions warp your mind! Taking in opinions simply allows you to develop a better outlook on your own opinion, and realise new things. Simples, right?

Hey, look! Single review(s)!!!

In all honesty, it's quite strange to have sub-units within Hello! Project... this is a first time experience for me, because I wasn't around for the whole sub-unit era where there were plenty of them for people to enjoy, giving out diverse sounds different to what the main groups had to offer, so of course, this is basically A Whole New Woooooooorld... A dazzling Place I never know...

Okay, Disney song references aside, this is all new to me and rather exciting. Okay, so the units were made on the basis of units which would promote nature and the agriculture life of Japan, kind of like how Ecomoni was created to promote the planet's safety and the awareness of protecting the planet, but it's a sub-unit, and I am happy. That, and the concept of the units promoting agriculture life and looking after the land or eating healthy is a good concept, in my opinion, especially when these sub-units seem to aim towards certain demographics.

Well, that's what I think at least.

So recently, the units singles were released. Each unit has a PV, one which has yet to be revealed and one which needs an official release, and each unit seems to show a different concept in their PV's. They all seem to aim towards a different demographic, and whilst the songs may have either an upbeat nature or a mellow sound, they have different appeals, and will cater towards certain people who have certain tastes. Well, I know what I like, and I like all four songs, but for different reasons.

Obviously, this is what I think about the singles, so sit tight, relax and grab your beer tea, because we're in for a little bit of a review...

Peaberry
Cabbage Hakusho

A bland name for quite the bland duo, right? Well, I guess it's right, but honestly, I enjoy this song. It has a beautiful opening, and throughout I find it to be such a pretty, soft song which really suits both Dawa and Riho's voices. I was actually surprised by how much I enjoyed the song itself, because it consists of two members I previously really did not like, and I was hell bent on never liking this song... ever.

Well, considering I like pretty ballads, that plan would have flown out the window anyway, because I am a sucker for a slow, pretty song with soft vocals that fit the tune. It's a song which is just extremely pretty and nice to listen to. It's soft and gentle, and soothes me. There's nothing up-beat about it at all, so if you're looking for something fun and quirky, steer clear of this one, because it isn't for you.

It's an innocent, beautiful song, one which really shows off the innocent and premature tone of both Dawa and Riho's voices. This song has truly allowed me to appreciate just how nice both of their voices can be when the girls aren't straining to hit high notes in a more up-tempo song, and it has allowed me to find something to like about their voices, too. I really think that Riho is a wonderful singer... in these sorts of songs. Ultimately, that does mean that I don't want her singing in songs like One Two Three any more because truly, she does not sound good, but here she founds very good, and she can sound even better with more time and practice. I could actually imagine her singing Koi ING at some point, if she continues to improve, which will only happen when she stops singing songs that require her to do the impossible.

I find the song simple, pretty and well made. I haven't heard something this pretty come from Hello! Project in a while, and honestly it's very refreshing to listen to, and it allows me to appreciate the vocal beauty of both Dawa and Riho. They can sing... they just suit a certain type of song, and that is this song.

DIY♡
Fore Fore ~Fores for Rest~

Here's a song and PV which has really taken off in the International Wota kingdom. Plenty of people are really loving the sound and look of this group, and no wonder, because they're pretty damn awesome if you ask me.

DIY♡ show off a more mature look, one which is much needed in Hello! Project right now given the amount of children present since 2011 onwards, and the demographic for this group seems to be aimed towards teen and grown men, or at least, people who like a mature woman with lots of leg and lovely bodies. Of course, with a mature group comes a mature song, right? Well, that's what this is, and it's great.

Fore Fore is more of a 90's dance song to me. It reminds me of Hinoi Team in terms of how it is presented in sound, and it sounds ctahy, up-beat and all around a great track! The vocals blend and work nicely together, with Haruna sounding a lot better than she has done in previous singles, as well as the maturity of Miyabi and Maimi's vocals within the song. Mix it with Chinami and Nakky's vocals, and you get a nice and mature song which still has some girlishness in it which keeps it a bit more pure, but still allows it to sound mature and different to what the other groups have to offer.

This song, in terms of sound, is far more adventurous and playful than what Cabbage Hakusho is. There's more of a beat, it's catchier and sticks in your mind so much faster. There's a lot of echoes which really grab your attention, and overlapping vocals which make it a fun song to listen to. I think that this song is so widely liked because of how new and fresh it sound when compared to newer content from H!P as a whole. It's a fun song, but it isn't immature or over-laden with auto-tune, and it's mature enough to appeal to those who like a song with maturity, whilst also sounding like a club tune with an element of pop to it.

It sounds great in my opinion, and I really like it. Out of all four songs, I think that this one has the best arrangement and presentation overall. It's just a wonderful song and it's one that people seem to really get into quickly, and with such a diverse sound to what's come out recently, this song will be sure to stand out to fans a lot more than the other groups because of how fresh it sounds against the other songs.

Harvest
Forest Time

Harvest have pretty much only just been revealed, but have quickly become one of my favourite Satoyama units through their PV and their song. Whilst not the best song of the four, it has a certain appeal to it which will attract people. It may be the nature of the song or the vocals, who knows? Still, I think that this will be a song that people will enjoy, because whilst it sounds a lot more generic than I would like it to, it is a nice song.

Forest Time is Idol generic, okay? We'll get that out of the way before anything else. I don't find it to be the greatest song in the world, but honestly, I really like it. I love generic songs, actually, but that's not the point. I find this song to be cheerful in a subtle way, without the girls or the instrumental being too over the top and genki. It's actually a very up-lifting song, and extremely carefree and sweet. It has a certain mood to it which makes it sound so happy and innocent whilst also being playful and friendly. It's a friendly song, one which has the ability to make you feel happy as you listen to it.

One of the things that sticks out about this song, though, is the fact that there are no solo lines. All the lines are distributed by either duo's or the girls as a group, and I think that helps the friendly factor of the song. It promotes the closeness of the girls too, I think, and allows you to appreciate how well these girls blend together and just how nicely they match. The vocals are all quite youthful, too, so you have a rather innocent and pure song here which sticks out. It's very sweet, and I actually like that there are no solo lines distributed in this single, because it would probably take away from that friendly factor it has.

Harvest seem to be a group which promotes the group the most, in my opinion. It seems to rely on the teamwork of the girls in both the song and the video, allowing us to get a sense of the girls' closeness through how they sing as opposed to how they have improved individually and how they sound alone, and I like that about this group. You don't have to worry about a favourite getting so many lines, because the girls are all working together here and no one is singled out, and that's good.

This group is really nice, and I like Harvest. The song may not be the best, but its actually my favourite of the four. I find it to be such an appealing song, one which allows me to appreciate the girls as a group and not as individual members. Because of this, the group reminds me heaily of the old S/mileage, the one I saw debut and grew to love because of how close they were. This group shows that same closeness, and honestly... yeah, it makes me sad, but it makes me hopeful for these girls, because the song sounds like old S/mileage, not in how it sounds, but how it feels and how it is portrayed. It's a song that is carefree, happy and friendly, something that old S/mileage had, and something which they no longer have. It's reminiscent of that, but it's nice to see that Harvest can translate their feelings through this song, and remind me of S/mileage when the group was truly great.

I actually anticipate the growth of this group more so than the others, because they seem to have the best group chemistry and have really bonded with each other. I can also see these girls performing Tanpopo songs... I hope that I'm not the only one who thinks this.

GREEN FIELDS
Boys be ambitious!

Now, is it just me, or does the title of this song remind you of a certain Morning Musume single...

Yeah, I'm not the only one, thank goodness. Also, this song is anything but ambitious. If anything, it's the total opposite, and the title itself... well, it doesn't fit the Satoyama theme now, does it?

It's also never a good thing when the opening of this song sounds exactly like the Gingham Check opening. Oh dear me...

GREEN FIELDS is the final group out of the four Satoyama units revealed, and for me, probably the most boring and lacking in group chemistry. This group seems to aim for an older demographic, one which likes mature girls with innocent looks, natures and gentle voices... basically, the boring girls. Well, sadly, these girls are a tad too 'innocent' and boring for my own taste to the point where I actually want to call the POTATO FIELDS instead...

Much like Peaberry's song, Boys be ambitious! is a slow and gentle song, and admittedly, very pretty. The concert of this song made me think that I wouldn't like it, but after listening to the full version, I do. This is mostly due to the fact that, sorry Saki fans, but it has to be said and done, that Saki sucks at singing live. She does not blend with with the other two, but in the HQ mp3, she sounds just lovely. Then again, it's a studio finish, and studio sounds better than live most or nearly all of the time, unless you're IU, that is. So yeah, the reason why I didn't want to like this song was because of Saki live. Sorry.

That said and done, it's an okay song. It's pretty, it has it's charms, but it isn't anything special, either. I'm pretty sure that I could forget this song in a second, however I do listen to it for the chorus which is extremely pretty. The song sounds like it could be placed in the country section at HMV, actually, and it does sound quite pretty. It reminds me of old adverts from my childhood, too. Weird...

Again, this song is not ambitious like the title suggests. It's a slow song, very gentle and soothing, and uses a recorder. If you hate any of the above, then steer clear because you won't care for this song. Honestly, if Peaberry was a stretch for you, I think that this won't be your cup of tea or pint of beer. It's pretty, yeah, but it's nothing great, either. The vocals are nice and all, but it isn't the best song from the four units. In fact, I find it bland and lacking. Maybe it's the group itself, because honestly... these girls don't work, or at least, that's what I think. I just find them totally awkward to watch together because they honestly don't seem to mesh well at all. Iikubo is awkward in DIY♡, right? Well GREEN FIELDS is just awkward all over. Then again, that's just my opinion.

It's an okay song, it's pretty and gentle, but it doesn't work for me like Cabbage Hakusho does. It's a good thing that I like the chorus, isn't it?

Again... nothing special, and that title is damn misleading!

Conclusion:

I think that the Satoyama units are a great idea, and it's nice to finally see a bit of a change in Hello! Project, in both sound and in the change of how a group looks. It's great to see the members shuffled and put with different people to see how they work together and to see what they produce in terms of music. Of course, I do have a favourite group, and it is Harvest by far. No, it isn't because one of my favourite members in there, because if it was based on who I liked, DIY♡ would win by a stretch, considering there's only one member I dislike in that group. No, it's to do with the fact that I like the sound the group has, and how they have portrayed themselves in both music and in the video.

I think that all of the groups are great, and each group has something to offer. Peaberry has a certain innocence and youthful sound which is reflected through their ballad, DIY♡ is mature and up-beat without being childish or too sexy, Harvest is carefree and cheerful, and emanates friendship and team work more than the other groups, and GREEN FIELDS has the advantage of mature vocals with a slow song which allows you to truly hear the potential of each singer throughout the song. Of course, I have my own problems with GREEN FIELDS, but that's just me...

I like all of the groups, I really do. Each song has a certain appeal and I like listening to all of the songs. GREEN FIELDS and Peaberry surprised me with how much I liked their songs after initially thinking that I would dislike them, but in the end I liked them. I was, of course, surprised by how generic and simple Harvest's song sounded, but I have come to terms with it and found out why I liked it so much, and it's down to the group factor and how much they remind me of the old, good S/mileage where you could feel and hear the bond that the group had, and how much they cared for each other.

I can't wait to see more from these units, and I hope that they continue to grow. Hopefully more singles and PV's will be released, because Hello! Project has been in need of sub-units for some time now. It brings forth new sounds, and new view of certain members and allows the girls to interact with members of other groups in a group of their own. It also allows for diversity in line distribution, and experimentation of sounds or looks within a certain group. Seeing these girls together and mingling with girls outside of their respective groups is great, and you can see how well some of these girls work, and how well some don't work. Either way, it is a learning curve, and it allows for something new and fresh with these four units.

It's great, and I'm hopeful for new single releases from these girls, because I like all of the songs, but for certain groups, I would like more of a connection...

Okay! Musume Digest #23

DIGEST TAIMU!

Hey guys, I am back with another bout of news for you all to read from this week! Get ready, because it's DIGEST TIME! Break out the biscuits and coffee, kick back, relax and get ready for some Idol news!!!

This week has been some fun and games, what with a lot of Halloween based reviews from the much needed influx of Halloween themed videos this year! Also, news is looking good, especially on the Hello! Project side of it all, so there is that to look forward to as well! That, and the week has just been awesome, you know? Blogging has been so fun! >3<

Anyways...

I would like to introduce a new bit to the digest which I hope to continue called 'Video of the Week' where I will post a random video for you all to watch that I have loved over the week, or that I think deserves some spotlight <3

If you guys have any video suggestions, then please comment with a video that you think should be featured! It can be new, old, from a popular Idol group or a group that is just starting out! Anything that you think is deserving of some love!!!

Video of the Week

This week's video is...

Darling to Madonna by Kikkawa Yuu!

Lovin' it!!!

This is a freakin' catchy song, and the PV is equally enjoyable. Kikka is getting better and better with every song, and yes, this uses the dreaded auto-tune, but it isn't used so much that you loathe it... Kikka, love you girl!

Anyway, other than that new spotlight, let's get into the rest of the rando little bits I keep adding! How about something I haven't done for a while...?

~News of Le Week~

Once again, I worry for my viewers after finding out just what people type into the Google search engine when they find me...

... What? No, just... Just no. Bikini butts, fine, sushi... weird and in no way related to this blog, but okay. But what the hell? Beckii Cruel in a bikini? Ew.

No... just no, guys. Why do people look for this stuff?

... Oh, I see Weather Girls appears twice. Nice!

Also, guess what is the second most referred link to this site? Or, better yet, picture via google images?

... Yup.

People like dem Potatoes.

In other news... Tanaka Reina is looking at a potential new (AV) market for Morning Musume, with toys and whips and chains included! Kids not allowed, Over 18's only!
...

Anyway, why don't we check the poll stats and see what people have answered this week, shall we?

Poll Winner!!!

And the winner is... -drum roll-

Hells... YES!!!

You have chosen Sexy Zone's sexy leader, Nakajima Kento, as your Oishii Oshi, with 40% of the votes! Congrats to this divine human being for winning the poll and our hearts!

Coming in join second with 30% of the votes are Kikuchi Fuma in all his delicious glory and the cute Sato Shori. In joint third (and last) place, with 20% of the votes, are the kawaii little Matsushima Sou and Marius Yo! Kya, I just wanna hug them all, don't you?

Anyway, with that done and dusted... guess what?

I have another poll for you all! Yes indeed I do! And this time, it is PV related! Awesome sauce!!!

So, the question, you ask? Well, here it is...

What is your favourite Halloween PV of 2012?

This includes PV's which aren't strictly Halloween themed, but due to the October fever that is Halloween, I count ALL PV's released in October as Halloween PV's now, regardless of how cutesy they can be! Of course, the PV's included are one's I do take an interest in, and I may not add all PV's released in October, so I apologise if there is a video released in October which I have not added...

NEWS OF THE WEEK

Hello! SATOYAMA Life episode 21 is here, and for all of you DIY♡ fans, there is a small making of portion along with a PV preview for their song Fore Fore ~Forest for Rest~

Now, I will be truthful and say that I have not watched this episode! I just... forget, okay ;A; But don't stop watching it just because I did! I know that people do like this show!!!

Early previews for Morning Musume's Alo Hello! 2012 Photobook have been leaked! Also, there will be three editions for the photobook: 6ki version, 9+10ki version and a Group version.

Okay, so first things first: YAY PREVIEWS!

Secondly: Why the hell are UFA still insisting on Zukkini not wearing a bikini? Seriously guys? No one can tell me 'it's because she's too young' now, because it happened last year when Riho got a bikini, and now it's happening to Zukkini again even though she's older. Blatantly, UFA think that she's too big to wear a bikini. That's horrible!

Up-side, Fukumura now has a bikini too. Yay.

Previews of Kudo Haruka's first photobook, Do have been leaked via UTB magazine. The pictures show off Kudo and her cuteness in different shots.

It's nice to finally see some previews of our Lolly Queen's photobook, and we have quite a variety of shots from the ones we see here. Whilst I really don't like seeing bikini shots of underage girls, though, it seems that this photobook will show off both Haruka's cute and childish side as well as her mature side.

It's a PB to look forward to, so check out the pictures!

Takahashi Ai and Sayashi Riho will both be featured in the next issue of Top Yell Magazine.

Oh, hi there promotion, I see that you are still being used... even if it is with two over-milked members of a popular Idol group!!!

Oh well, who can really complain? Considering Ai-butt was the last ace of Morning Musume, with Riho as the current Ace, it's great publicity for any Morning Musume fans. That, and it will get Riho or Ai fans interested in either one of the other members, and will also keep Ai fans interested in the current Morning Musume.

UFP are really using promotion to their advantage now, thank god.

Takahashi Ai, Niigaki Risa and Tanaka Reina all show off their beach wear in this clip from the Hello! Project pachinko game!

Seeing a clip from the game itself is great, because it gives us more of an idea of what the game is about as well as to see the girls together again! Also... bikini's. Need I say more?

Enjoy the Gaki goodness... Oh, and Reina and Ai-butt. But Gaki, mmm...

A promo clip for the stage play 'Sugar Spot' has been uploaded to youtube, so check it out!

Too much Maimi, not enough Chinami. Sad face );

S/mileage have released a video showing some behind the scenes footage from their latest concert tour. Check it out and enjoy some S/mileage love!

If you love backstage footage, then check this out for some S/mileage happiness and watch the girls rehearse and then watch snippets of the concert and what it has to offer! Videos like these are great for fans who want to see what goes on backstage or behind the scenes, as well as offering the fans a little bit of a preview for what to expect for when the concert is released on DVD!

Watch it and enjoy S/mileage's little video which preview their concert.

More images from Kudo Haruka's up-coming photobook, Do, have been released, but this time these images are HQ!

More than this at the source (around five pictures) so click, enjoy and fall in love ;)

The Sea☆A audition results recently came out for everyone to view, and it has been announced that there have been no candidates selected at all.

This news is actually surprising, but also somewhat relieving for me. I actually like Sea☆A as they are now, so to know that the group will continue to work as a 4 member unit is a happy feeling, but I do feel bad for the girls who tried hard to get into the group, only to find out that no one had the sufficient ability to become a potential member for the group.

Of course it does make people wonder just why Sea☆A's agency decided this, but honestly, we can never know for sure. If anything, this is another MoMusu Gen 7 case where someone wasn't picked, and it really does not benefit anyone.

Here's a question: Will they try again, or just decide not to add any new members unless a current member graduates? Hmm...

The cover to S/mileage's Best Album special concert DVD has been released, showing the girls in their S/mileage uniforms and singing into the microphone... well, except for darling Gorilla-chan, that is.

Really, is showing Kana as the only one not  singing a subtle hint at her lack of vocal ability? Why isn't Wada or Meimi doing the same, then? Okay, joke, because actually, that image draws more attention to my darling Gorilla. She looks positively radiant with happiness here, doesn't she?

It's a cute cover, simple, but sweet. Hopefully fans will take the chance to check it out!

Due to being in poor health, Tanaka Reina will not be present at the Paris handshake event.

News like this is always depressing, because it means one less member to see an to talk to or share a handshake with, and for any Reina fans, this news will be absolutely devastating. However, for Reina it is in her best interests to get better as soon as she can and to make sure that she is strong enough for her next set of activities.

Wish all the best for the Winking Squirrel-voice and her cat ears! Get well soon, girl!

Kikkawa Yuu's Darling to Madonna (MMD. Ver.) has been released!

For any vocaloid fans, this is a great addition to what seems to be Kikkawa Yuu's growing collection of MMD PV's! In his video we see Kikka in her computerised form dancing to the song and walking around. There is plenty of colour and CGI to keep everyone entertained!

The song is pretty damn awesome too.

JIJIPRESS has released footage from the GREEN FIELDS and Harvest performances at Morning Musume's recent concert.

Seeing footage, no matter how short, is always wonderful, especially if it includes clips from the girls performing. Thankfully we do get to hear a little bit of the songs, and they both sound good from what I can hear, though GREEN FIELDS would have to be my favourite because of the great mix of voices within the group and the somewhat soothing sound.

Hopefully everyone can check out this video and see which group they want to hear from the most!

S/mileage's profiles have been updated with their costumes for their up-coming single, Samui Ne.

I will be honest and say that these costumes look tacky and horrible... very much like Wakuteka Take a Chance's costumes. Really, they look like concert outfits, not the real deal. However, we can't... erm... complain, because it's happened. But they still look horrible.

Yay for Kana tummy?

Covers to C-ute's second Best of Album have been revealed, showing off the girls in an elegant and mature way.

I really like these colours... a lot. They look very nice, especially the more colourful covers which give a rainbow effect on the girls. The final cover is a lot more classic and elegant, giving the girls a more mature and womanly vibe whilst the other covers have a colourful and fanatasy like effect.

Very nice, and I really want to buy these covers now. I really do.

A radio rip of the re-constructed Ooki na Ai de Motenashite! has been released, with Nakky and MaiMai leading the song with their adorable voices!

... Urgh. Auto-tune...

'nuf said.

A radio rip for C-ute's re-constructed Massara Blue Jeans has been uploaded to youtube for everyone to listen to, so check it out!

Too much Maimi, not enough Okai. Really, now UFP? Airi, fine, but Maimi?

Meh.

... Yeah, I'm a bit hard on Maimi, but I don't like her voice XD anyways... this sounds cooler, but it's weird to hear it so... modern...

A preview to Girls News Hello! Project 11 has been released, showing scenes from concerts, handshake events and jacket cover shoots.

If you didn't know (which I am sure you already know), Girls News is a programme which seems to have a section dedicated to Hello! Project and promoting the groups within Hello! Project, as well as featuring a guest every episode and talking about... well, things.

I honestly don't pay attention to these episodes because I have no idea where to find them, but for me, any promotion for H!P is good promotion, and it seems that Girls News will deliver certain things to fans that SATOYAMA LIFE can't.

Naaboudoufu@Nana promotes and talks about her second single, Magical Lip KISS on Kawaii Girl Japan.

Kawaii Girl Japan is one of my favourite promotion networks, as the site and youtube offers articles and videos for both Japanese and English speaking/reading fans, which serves as an international database for anyone interested in learning about certain groups. Kawaii Girl Japan also aids in helping people find out about up and coming acts as well as lesser known names in the Idol industry.

It's great to see that Nana is continuing her activities as an Idol, and it's nice to find out the back story to Magical Lip KISS.

Check out the video if you are a Nana fan and support your Idol!

And that is all for this week in News! Thank you guys for sticking around for these weekly digests and taking an interest in the news that the Idol world has given us! I was genuinely surprised when people started to comment on these posts when I first began them, stating that they liked the idea of the Weekly Digest - it makes me extremely happy to know that this is something you all enjoy as a part of this blog, so thank you for sharing your thoughts on the digest!

Stay tuned for next weeks round up of Idol news and the new Video of the Week!!!

NEWS OF THE WEEK

The cover to Kudo Haruka's first photobook, titled Do, has been revealed!

The Queen of Lollipops and Gum drops has once again graced us, this time in the form of her all natural beauty. Seriously, she looks so innocent and sweet here, nothing like her usual bossy attitude, am I right?

This girl will be a real looker when she's older. Damn, she is awesome... <3

A short PV or Sashihara Rino's up-coming single, titled Ikujinashi Masquerade! has been revealed. This version is the Muse no Kagami version, which shows scenes from Sasshi's single.

Shall I be honest? Yes, I will, because to be blunt, this short PV was hard to watch because of how bad the acting in it is. Oh boy Sasshi can not act... or at least that's what I think? But it killed me, I can't even watch the entire 2 minutes because I find Sasshi to be such a crappy little actress.

However, nice to see PV's appearing. Nice to see Sasshi only, actually. Yay.

Morning Musume have released a Sakura Oda version of Wakuteka Take a Chance, showing off Sakura as she dances to Wakuteka.

I wasn't expecting this... wait, was anyone expecting this at all? Well, regardless, it's pretty damn good I think that UFA are doing this in order to promote not only Sakura, but also the single. Okay, so her dancing looks stiff and lacking in refinement, but that doesn't matter. This is what will tide over the hungry Oda fans until the next single, I think, and honestly? Damn clever of UFA to do this.

Nice work.

Oh crap, I meant UFP. Promotion seems to be their aim now, DAMN!!!

Michishige Sayumi graces the cover of EZ Japan and looks as stunning as ever~

Promotion! Oh man, it seems UFP really are serious about this name change thing and it not being a joke... until next year, of course, when they begin to suck again, but that is not the point right now! PROMOTION! Of Sayu, no less, the one who is just awesome in a cute way~

Yay, promotion! (can you tell I'm happy?)

Morning Musume have appeared on Thailand's TV show, Japan Bravo where the girls performed One Two Three and talk to the hosts as well as meet their fans.

Seeing this is really great because it shows just how loved MoMusu are in Thailand, and allows the girls to see their fans from another country and to realise just how much they are loved. It was great to see scenes of the fans who support the girls waving and smiling, and to also see the girls (Iikubo mostly) waving back! It's really nice.

Hopefully promotion like this keeps up! It's getting good!

The covers to Hello! Project's 2012 Summer concerts, KtKr and Wkwk have been released, showing the girls in off-shots during performances.

The covers are your standard affair, showing off the groups and the girls either individually or together. It's a nice little cover for each concert, and whilst not overly complex or well thought out, the covers are nice to look at.

The Queen of Smug and Auto Tune (kinda) has graced the cover of Weekly Famitsu Taiwan.

Promotion! All hail promotion, even if it is for Smugleaf (haha Pokemon fan-name reference) and her ability to pop up everywhere even when you don't want her to. But, it is promotion, and promotion makes me incredibly happy because it means that Morning Musume get more of a push. YIPEE!!

Go UFP, you really are putting the promotion in your name, aren't you?

A full length preview for S/mileage's Samui Ne has been released for everyone to listen to, so check it out!

The song is quite a cool song, one which follows a similar feel to it that Suki yo delivered. It's different from the usual we get from S/mileage, but the song sounds nice and has a slight sad, Christmas feel to it, bringing on thoughts of a sad, lonely Christmas.

I'm not used to this new sound that S/mileage are producing, but the girls seem to get more and more diverse the older they get. Also, is it just me, or does this sound somewhat familiar? I can't quite put my finger on it, but I swear I have heard this tune somewhere else before...

Morning Musume grace the cover of Luck You magazine.

1) Nice photoshop, I seriously can tell you have no idea what you're doing. It looks choppy.
2) PROMOTION WIN!!!

Suzuki Airi and Sayashi Riho both grace the cover of Idolgraph with some random SKE, Cheeky Parade, SUPER GiRLS and other chicks.

Promotion, again? Well, it's good, especially if two Hello! Project chickies are put on the cover! That, and the girls are being promoted alongside other Idols from big-name groups, so this makes me a very happy Winking Wota.

Promotion is key, guys~ No matter who it is, I guess~

Our sweet little Lollipop Idol's image DVD release has a cover! It has been titled HARUKA and will contain absolute sweetness, you will get cavities! Check it out and enjoy, guys!

Let's just say I am happy that she's getting a photo book and image DVD. This girl totally deserves it, even though I know that I won't read it because she is loli bait DX

On November 11th, there will be a female-only Satoyama one day Bus tour in Hitachi Oota.

Sadly, it looks like only Maimi from DIY♡ will be going, which sucks because I don't like her, she is one of my least fave H!P members - the others in DIY♡ I actually really like. Sucks the one who is urgh is there DX

Anyway, bitchiness aside, it's great to see that the Satoyama units (plus the randomness of Airi and Kanyon, new duo?) are able to have their own bus tour and promote themselves to the female fans of Hello! Project, whilst also promoting agriculture life, DIY and other experiences to do with the country. It will be a great learning experience for the women and will hopefully give these girls more promotion and exposure!

On December 23rd, there will be a Mano Erina fanclub event held.

HECK YEAH, MANO ERI!!!

Considering she will be leaving soon, this will be a great chance for fans to go and see their Idol before she officially graduates from Hello! Project as a solo singer. This probably won't be her last FC event, but if it is, definitely try to get there!

The cover to Morning Musume's 'Morning Musume Single M Clips 7' has been unveiled!

... Looking a lil crowded there, ain'cha?

A PV teaser to Naaboudoufu@Nana's up-coming second single, Magical Lip KISS, has been released!

To be quite honest with you all, I am not overly impressed with this PV or the song. There's nothing outstanding about it, nothing which makes me think 'Omg wow, cute, pretty, fun, colourful...' like KuneKune Bravo did. It seemed like there was a lot more personality in her last single, but here there is less of that personality and more of a robotic like girl... no, I am not liking it so much.

It sounds... okay? But I am not psyched on it. I'll wait till the full song and PV comes out, though, but definitely check it out if you're interested.

A preview to Morning Musume's up-coming 2012 Hawaii Fanclub Tour DVD has been released, so check it out!

Now, not to be a bitch, but I swear Riho sounds really shit live compared to when she first joined Morning Musume.

Just sayin'.

Morning Musume grace the various regional covers of B.L.T Magazine!

-cries- Oh beautiful, beautiful promotion... -weeps more-

... Aaaaand that is all for this eek! Plenty of H!P news, not enough of other news, but I keep ignoring everything on the internet right now.

DAMN!

Anyway, I hope that you all have a good weak ahead of you, and keep smiling and winking!

Chiima~

Okay! Musume Digest #21

Iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit's DIGEST TIME! Get out the papers!

This week has been so slow, I stopped updating until I got home... which was pretty late, considering I am meant to update today, but hey who cares? It's been stupidly slow to the point where I could not be bothered to update because there was nothing that peaked my interest!

That, and I had other plans. Wheee~

Anyway, it's time for the picture of Le Week! WHOO!

Life is a chair ride. Seriously :p

Be PWNED by the cuteness of Riho and Maa-chan combined, with a little bit of Zukkini on the side. It's adorable... admit it :p

And the Poll of the Week, too!

... Yeah, not gonna happen, because I have no idea what poll to create! Well, I do, but I need more PV's for the choices, and that will happen at the end of the month!

Anyway... ONTO:

NEWS OF THE WEEK

A short PV for NMB48's 6th single, Kitagawa Kenji, has been released to excite everyone for the latest NMB release!

The only thing that I can think of when I see these girls in those dresses is 'Kyary' and 'Candy land', because everything looks so pink, sweet and cavity inducing! There's a lot of sugar and cuteness here, so watch out, guys! >3<

This may be the first song since Oh My God! which actually grabs my attention from these girls. Their past singles have really not interested me, and the group itself seems pretty bland, so hopefully this song will help me to like the girls a little more, because I enjoy the sound of it.

I'm looking forward to the full PV, what about you?

Kusumi Koharu and Umeda Erika will both be modelling for Girls Award 2012 Autumn/Winter on the 8th of November.

It isn't very often that we hear news of Umeda Erika, or at least I don't, so I was surprised to see that both she and Koharu have been picked to model clothes for Girls Award. It's an amazing opportunity to see the girls wear cute clothes, and to also see these two ex-Idols model! Hopefully those who do go will have fun watching two ex-Hello! Project girls work together!

MAiDiGi TV have uploaded footage from Morning Musume's Fountain Square event. Oda Sakura also makes an appearance during the event.

Event footage is always welcome, because it means that the girls are continuing to promote their latest single as well as allows fans overseas to watch footage of the girls singing live. Of course, the girls have performed here before and it seems that everyone who was able to attend really enjoyed the performance the girls gave! So all is good :D

It's nice to see footage, whee~

10th generation members Iikubo Haruna and Ishida Ayumi have a chat and talk about Wakuteka Take a chance!

It seems that the promotion is still going for Wakuteka with a new video, showing off the two oldest of the 10th generation. Even though I don't understand the video itself, this seems like a great way to promote the girls and the single itself.

Definitely check it out for Harunan and Daishi love!

Footage from Morning Musume's arrival in Japan has surfaced on the internet!

Seeing footage from the Taiwan trip is great, and as Iikubo is there, I find it really interesting to see that she and Ayumin, alongside Fukumura, were chosen for the event. Of course, this will mostly do with how old the girls are, but regardless, it's awesome to see one of my favourite members promote the group with the other members!

Definitely take a look if one of your favourites is in there!

Niigaki Risa and Mitsui Aika promote the Graduation Live Memorial photobook.

Even though this is a small update, it's great to see that both Gaki and Aika were able to promote their graduation photobook together. The girls look great, and it is honestly really nice to see that they are still there to support Morning Musume.

Hello! Satoyama Units HARVEST and GREEN FIELDS introduce themselves! As well as introductions, both groups will be a part of the opening act for October 28th's Morning Musume performance.

It's great to see that the girls have introduction videos, showing off the members with a little clip of a photoshoot. For me, being a fan of Ikuta, it's wonderful to see that she is able to perform in a sub-unit with other members in Hello! Project other than Morning Musume. It's also great to see that Aika is back to performing with this unit! It makes me happy to see that she is able to participate in something again within Hello! Project.

The biggest surprise is seeing a Hello! Project Kenshyuusei in the group, but it looks like this group will be made up of older members, so I am hoping to see some maturity from the group and hopefully see more from the Egg and how well she sings and/or dances. It'll be great to see her perform!

Hopefully everyone can check out these videos and enjoy!

Covers for Peaberry, DIY♡, Harvest and GREEN FIELDS have been released!

The covers are really simple, but really cute and natural with a certain country-feel to them. I really do like these images, and it's nice to finally get covers for the singles! Who isn't happy about that? :D

Check 'em out!

A video showing the raising of the 'Wakuteka Take a Chance' billboard has been uploaded to youtube!

It seems that the promotion has become a little more creative, what with showing the video itself and lyrics during the construction so that our boredom doesn't quite get the better of us. The video itself is really interesting, with plenty of visuals to keep us all entertained whilst watching the construction itself.

It's an interesting video, to say the least, and hopefully promotion continues for this group!

Aaaaand that is all we have time for this week! Not much news, but enough to keep me going! Hopefully something will peak your interest ;)

Untill next time, dears! Toodle pip!
